No WiFi - Sprint HTC One (M7)

So randomly my WiFi quit, it only shows the little upload arrow on it but the "download" never lights up. Now all I get is errors when using it...nothing in my set up had been changed...I just updated to the latest radio after I discovered this issue and no change...

Not yet but it started working strangely enough

[Q] NC Rooted 1.1 WiFi not reconnecting after sleep

My rooted NC 1.1 has stopped reconnecting automatically to my wifi network after sleep. It had been working fine for a while so I am not sure what changed. To get it to reconnect I either need to toggle the wifi on/off or select the network using wifi settings. After that it is fine. If I just put it to sleep and turn it back on after a minute or so it connects fine. The problem occurs after several minutes (say 10) of sleep.
I have deleted all my network connections, rebooted and then connected to my network with no change. Again this had been working fine in its current state.
I then reimaged it to a known working 1.1 image using CWR but the wifi issue remains.
This is more nuisance then anything else but it sure is annoying.
Look forward to any suggestions since I dont know what else to try.

same problem here, sometimes it works but after waiting too long it doesn't reconnect. I think after being asleep so long it just fails to refresh/rescan. Kind of silly they dont have a rescan/refresh button in the wifi settings...
You can try going into Settings/Wireless/Wifi Settings/hit the menu again and go to Advanced, set the sleep option to Never. This helps but it still shuts off the wifi after being locked for a few minutes.
The fix I use is called "SoftLocker Free" in the market. This basically prevents it from sleeping, but still allows the screen to turn off. It draws more power from the battery since the wifi stays on, but I've had good luck with it.
Strange question, but do you have AT&T? I've seen a ton of folks with non-rooted nooks have this issue on the official Barnes and Noble forum, all with Uverse.
No i am not using att.
Thanks for the tips so far.

ZTE blade has a similar issue, there's a couple of workarounds.
1. Keep the device awake when screen is off (holds wifi connection but uses battery power)
2. Automatically toggle wifi when you turn the screen back on.
I've made an app that does (1.) when you leave wifi on and turn the screen off. (similar to softlocker, but it automatically grabs the lock when wifi is left on and has other features). Search for "Advanced wifi lock"
If you want (2.) grab "Blade wifi fix".
This seems to be common among Android devices judging by the sheer volume of WiFi fix and Wifi lock applications in the market. Now, we just have to figure out which one works better with NookColor. Free would be better of course
Mine does it as well - WiFi on after waking up. Can stay awake for 10 minutes not connecting, bus as soon as I'll go to wireless settings, I can see it obtaining IP immediately. I also noticed it goes away from time to time and comes back by itself.

Moron test can't complete

Hi,
Grabbed the latest version which works fine but at the end of the first test when you need to turn around the tab to get the up arrow never turns green no matter how I turn it I tried the screen calibration fix and turned off compatibility mode but still not working.
Anyone have this problem? I'm using tnt 4.4
Never tried the app myself, but the name alone would imply that just maybe it was meant to purposely mess with the user.

[Q] Unknown App Flashing When Toggling Wifi

Last night I was at home and noticed my wifi wasn't on, so I used the quick settings in the shade to toggle it. After a few seconds, wifi connected, and some unknown app took focus and closed repeatedly. After a few moments, it stopped and all was well.
I thought it was strange, so I turned wifi back off and the same thing happened. I rebooted, tried again, and got the same result. I was trying to think of a way to see what was happening, so I tried using the Screen Record function in Gravity Box, which didn't help much, because it happens so fast, and no info is displayed, just a black window that goes away quickly.
I then turned on the CPU usage in Developer Options to see if anything consistently came to the top when toggling. I saw a few apps each time Plume (Twitter), and Maildroid (email) were two of them. Both of these apps behave differently on wifi and 3G/4G (push vs. pull), so thought -maybe- it could be something with that. I uninstalled both of those, rebooted and tried again, getting the same result.
I recorded the screen when this was happening with the CPU usage displayed, and was wondering if anyone has any ideas? I don't really want to uninstall and reinstall EVERY app on my phone, so I was hoping someone may have seen this before or see something I'm missing when watching it happen.

Thanks for any input anyone can offer!
Do you check virus from your phone ?
I am also having this, seems to be due to 4.4.2 OTA, which I continue to delay as I am rooted.
Mine doens't only happen with wifi change, but also just randomly when using hangouts, keyboard stays out but hangouts min -> maxes quickly. I have tried freezing the update apps but it apparently didn't do anything as I was still asked to update earlier.
Only hangouts? I have that app disabled.in the app settings.
I can't say for sure that being on 4.4.2 fixed it, but I am on 4.4.2 now and it is not happening anymore.
I unlocked my bootloader and did the 4.4.2 SBF, unlocked and rooted. I installed probably 99% of the same apps (only ditched 1-2 that I never used anymore) and I am not having the flashing issue anymore.
Hard to tell for certain if the pending OTA was the cause, but it may have been.

Turning on bluetooth crashes the phone

Hi, a few months ago I've noticed that when I try to turn on bluetooth (which is usually turned off) everything freezes the moment I 'click' on the turn on/off switch. After the freeze it takes around one-two minutes to restart the phone and then I can normally turn the bluetooth on.
The strange thing is that I can turn it off and on then and it will work, but when I turn it off and leave it off for a few days, and then try to turn it on the phone will freeze again...
Did anyone had the same issue?
Android version: 7.0 (B394)
I installed B395, but the problem hasn't gone away. Anyway, for the first time after this 'freeze' the message box saying that 'the interface app stopped working' showed up and I could 'stop' the interface app.
However, the update did not solve the problem.
Same problem here did you find a solution?
Same problem here for years! Android 7.0. Did anyone found any solution yet?
My build number is EVA-L09C432B505. Stock firmware, regulary updated.
@zozo77, Have you regularly updated your stock firmware?
What is your full build name/number, like EVA-L09c432b504 or what?

Question GPS Issues

Anyone else experiencing GPS issues on the S23?
Sometimes it will work fine for a day, sometimes for a couple of hours. Then it stops.
Occasionally rebooting resolves the issue, but generally it doesn't. Yesterday I restarted and/or turned off/on 5 times without resolving. Some hours later, it just starts working again.
Looking at nmea loggers and GPS Test app, when it stops it either shows no data at all, or sometimes shows signal from just one or two and never finds any more so can't get position lock (other than network based). My old S20 right next to it will show 18-20 satellites at the same time and never faults.
I submitted a fault to Samsung. They said the uploaded system log showed nothing coming from GPS (fault was currently being exhibited) and phone will need to go back. This isn't always the case however, as sometimes it works OK.
Is there anything I can try before I send it off?
Have others had similar issues?
Try restarting in emergency mode (SOS) and do your tests.
If I were you, I would factory reset or even install firmware with Odin just to make sure everything is OK.
Send to Samsung is the last attempt.
Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give them a go and see what happens.
Calibrate your GPS in google maps. Tap your location and it had you move your phone around to increase its accuracy.
