This is my first layers theme and my first actual theme since Gingerbread. I expect bugs. In the future, I need to make more icons and resize for xhdpi (as the icons are too big for 720 devices right now).

Well, I made my icons smaller for those with 720 / 1090 screens as requested but it made them too small on my 2k screen. I knew I was half way between xxhdpi and xxxhdpi, but it appears I was using xxhdpi on my screen. To that end, I have uploaded a bigger icons version to the OP for those of you who find the icons are smaller than desired.

Any plans on updating this great layer? I love it, but for some/most apps, notification text is black, theme is black, and I get an unreadable notification. Poweramp for instance, when playing music, controls are black and so is everything else.
EDIT> I worked arroung this issue for Poweramp, but it is still present in some other apps /can't remember names right now /

This theme has inverted text so most apps have light text on dark backgrounds.
If this is not the case there are 2 scenarios that can cause this.
1) you're on 5.1 - not all the invert commits by @dankoman have been updated and released for 5.1 ROMs.
2) the ROM you're on doesn't have type 2 RRO commits.
The most compatible ROM would be a 5.0.2 ROM with the invert commits and type 2 RRO.

Firstly let me make clear that I have taken inspiration from SimpText by UltraLinx, you can find his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742449
I loved the idea he had created, very simple and minimalistic, however on my Desire the icons were just too small to be useful for me. Very kindly, UltraLinx also provided the PSD file he based his icons on. From this I amended the colours, the font, the size, as well as some more font options.

first off, i would like to thank 72ls1 for allowing me to mod his theme, ZduneX25 for his transparent status bar patcher, nhnt11 for his guide on making themes for cm7, and all those who have helped me along the way that i may have missed.
Here is just a simple theme that i modded to fit my homescreen when i started getting into homescreen art.

Now before you download this theme, you must know that i added the transparent status bar, so you will need to patch you systemui.apk and framework.apk. if you do not know how to do this, the software can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1202866

Basically what i did is made the theme more minimal, by turning the blue highlights into white, and other little tweaks. i am now starting to make minimal icons to fit with launcher 7. please tell me icons that you would like to have themed. Im trying to get rid of the grey, back that will take a while due to the fact that the theme is about 90% grey...
What I've done:
added a transparent status bar
Gotten rid of any blue and replaced with white
added missing icons, mainly to the browser menu.
What I have not yet done or (plan not to?):
gtalk app. <--- I do not use this app, so i have no idea what everything looks like. i dont wanna mess with something i dont know how it looks.
get rid of grey to make a minimal theme

im pretty sure you can still install it on an mdpi device. just hit apply anyways when it asks you about this theme is missing screen assets to you device. i may be wrong. if you can confirm, that it will not work, i will try to add support in the future

There are quite some differences in the S4 theme:
- Most of the app launcher icons are updated
- New Settings icons
- New camera ui
- New statusbar icons
- New dialer
- More Galaxy S4 icons trough out the entire system

Great Theme, But One Issue...
This is a great theme!
If I may make a suggestion, please fix the status bar to the usual TouchWiz 5.0 Status Bar Color as shown below in this screenshot:

Great Work, Sir. But, can you do a optimized versión for HD+ screens, please?, for all the users like me using a 8"+ Tablet (in my case, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1" - 160 DPI) with CM 10+, using this version in a large screen looks blurred and weird (Even the CM Theme Manager warns me the theme will be incomplete because of the screen size). Thanks for your work. Hope you read this.
in your latest s4 paid theme the battery icon is quite smaller than latest touchwiz free theme.
please fix this issue otherwise the theme is perfect

So. I decided to remake this theme today. Since the event is over 4th of July, it seemed like doing a red, white, and blue theme was a better fit than the purple and green. I'm much happier with this look and I hope you like it also. If there is something I could do better, let me know what it is. I will probably spend more time working on it, I have a few ideas to try out.
If you are a fan of the purple and green version, it is still on AFH called GD50. I kept that base and have an idea that will work better with it.

Updated to v1.1
I was able to extend the custom action bar from settings to: Gallery, MMS, File Manager and G+. I tried to apply to all apps, but most were uncooperative.
Lots of notification text color fixes: Gmail, Hangouts, Inbox and Clock apps.
I swapped notification background colors for normal and low priority so we can see the progress bar during downloads.

The new updated stock rom but i have it rooted. 5.1.1
Probably user error. LOVE the design. Downloaded apk, installed fine on Galaxy S6. Bt cant find tit in themes or apps or anywhere on the phone.
