hi i was wondering if there is a way to s-off if on lollipop i am rooted and unlocked bootoader any hep would be appreciated
As far as I know, if you are on the lollipop hboot (1.6), you cannot s-off at this time. You have to wait until Sunshine is updated.
EDIT: I'm guessing Sunshine has been updated for Lollipop. See next post.
Sunshine 3.0.4 for the M7 is up and working fine. I ran it today and now have s-off.

Hi everyone! I've been searching this forum whole day about 8 hours, and couldn't find any tool that would S-Off 1.57. Even latest Firewater doesn't help.... Any suggestions? Or is it possible to downgrade from 1.57 to lower? Thanks in advance.

downgrading hboot require s-off so no, its not possible.
firewater is the only tool that could s-off your phone. have you tried firewater + arhd 31.6? If you get the "whelp" message when trying to s-off there is nothing to do.
last possibility is to s-off the phone via a java card like they are doing at fonefunshop.com
No, I'm on 4.3 Google Play Edition, I had problems with ADB Authorization, I didn't get pop-up message when I connected the phone in debugging, so I had to install that rom, now everything works fine, but I want 4.4 Google Play Edition, so I heard it needs S-Off .. How do you think , should I wait for for 1.57 support or change rom and try this? This HTC Bloatware really annoys me ..
just try a 4.4 rom from the development section. you don't need S-off, just unlock the bootloader, install recovery, and flash new roms.

I am using a M7_UL running stock 4.4.2 with hboot 1.57 and I followed the steps mentioned and managed to get S-OFF.
Edit: realised that you were the one who shared in the other thread. So thanks for sharing man!
Yea I found it but couldn't test it I wasn't at home, will try later. So it is possible ) I want to convert my M7 into Google Edition, so I hope that helps me also.
Hello,
I recently bought an HTC One (M7), and I wanted to convert it to a Google Edition.
So I searched on a few forums for instructions and they said that I had to unlock the bootloader first AND to root my device.
I did all of this, but now I don't know which method I can try to S-OFF my device.
My rom is currently CM11 Android 4.4.2 and HBOOT 1.5.7 Tampered, Unlocked.
I heard about Sunshine already. And I think it's worth the money but I think it's not gonna work because I don't have money on my paypal, and I would like to try to do it myself. I just don't know how. I tried some methods but I think I did it wrong.
Can someone help me out? I would really appreciate your help.
Regards,

I hope you realize there are dozen of threads like yours here?
Currently, hboot 1.57 can only be s-off'ed using sunshine.
(btw sunshine will not charge anything to your paypal if s-off doesn't work)

With hboot 1.57. Sunshine is the only working method. Sunshine won't work wit a CM Rom though you need a stock based Rom

For now you'll have to wait on Sunshine 3.0 for it to work on hboot 1.60.
Hello,
I have a HTC One M8 running 4.4.4.
So i want to update to lolipop but i want root. My question is should i unlock the bootloader and get S-OFF and root then do the OTA update? Will i keep the root? Or can i just OTA then unlock s-off and root.
Also do i even need S-OFF? All i want to do is install custom roms and edit root files

I would S-off now before upgrading. Once you're S-off you can update. If you update first you won't be able to S-off (at least for the time being).

I have a Sprint M7 and my camera is bad (purple tint). HTC said that they would fix it for free. I have my bootloader saying RELOCKED but I think it needs to say LOCKED. I'm running 6.16.651.2 and my hboot is 1.60 and have s-on. I had it rooted and was unable to get Sunshine to see supersu correct. I think Supersu or Sunshine needs updated for this Lollipop firmware. I was wondering if HTC will fix the phone with it saying Relocked? If they won't is there any way for me to get it locked without s-off?
Thanks
Can someone please help?
Sorry but I really need to know asap.
