My phone is having small spots on the moto logo dimple. The spots are visible to eyes but cant be felt until scratched by nails. I am finding the way to get rid of it else maybe to prevent it.
Did you just notice it one time, all of these spots on it or did they start showing up over a period of time?
I saw a few spots all of a sudden then npw they are increasing. Should i go for a lamination on thr dimple or is there any solution or should i talk to moto care?
I've been having this same problem on mine, but way worse, have you fixed this?

I just got a tilt about a week ago and ive noticed that in the middle of the screen there seems to be a purple greenish tint when put against incandescent light. The size of said glint varies in size but i'm unable to see what changes the size. Not sure if its heat or pressure or something. The touch screen works perfectly its just really annoying to always see such an annoying glint.
An interesting discovery is that when i press all four corners of the screen it disappears and when i press in the middle of the little square it seems to spread out. I feel like theres some kind of material or something in the touch screen that is causing this due to pressure. I keep it in a hard case in my pocket so the screen isnt pressed on inadvertently.
I've searched the forum for any answers but i havent seen anything about it. Any response or help would be greatly appreciated. I'll try to get a picture of it up asap but i left my camera at a friends house and dont know when im getting it back...thanks in advanced

Do you see the same "annoying glint" under neon light (not day / sunlight)?
Lots of NOKIA and SONY ERICSSON phones for example get this screen recolorization under direct sunlight - this has nothing to do with the screen being defective but with the plastic above the screen which breaks the light and shows you this colored spots. If you can't see the same spot under direct neon light then this might be the cause.
It is normal that you get color changes while pressing the screen in. First of, you press / bent the protecting plastic and the liquid within the screen which causes the incoming light to break in a different angle, therefore the color changes. (BTW: you shouldn't do that too often, it can cause permanent stains on your screen!).
There sure is the possibility that your screen gets pressure from underneath due bad assembling! If you're still under warranty, try to get a replacement.
yeah you cant see it in day light. but i feel as though there is constant pressure on the screen between the plastic and liquid since the spot is always there and doesnt really go away (unless of course in daylight).
well im thinking im going to go back for a replacement. thanks for the quick answer!
I have experimented with various screen protectors on the Moto X. The one that I have on now covers the left side portion by the ear speaker. I have also seen screen protectors that purposely have this area cut out of the screen protector. I believe that this is where the light sensor is. I have been trying this screen protector out for a couple days (it is a anti-glare kind and is opaque) I have noticed that the active notifications don't come on as much...however, this may all be in my head. Curious if anyone else had tested this. See attached picture.
The screen protector I used ( Xtreme guard) has an extra area cut out to the left of the speaker, i guess for the proximity/light sensors..
and I don't have any issues with active notifications.. maybe you can cut it out?
That is the proximity / light sensor. Play with it when you're in a call - cover it up with your finger, and the screen goes off, remove your finger, and the screen comes back on. That's how your phone knows it's up to your face and to turn the screen off so you don't accidentally face dial. Some screen protectors don't affect it, others seem to. I don't doubt that your active notifications are funny if that piece is covered up. I had a tempered glass protector on that covered it. I had some issues with the screen not coming on when I took my phone away from the face to end the call. Sometimes active display would randomly turn on when the phone was sitting still on my desk. After I switched to a different brand that didn't cover it up, my problems went away.
Thank you for the info. I had a feeling that there was something up because it was acting a little random after putting that protector on. I don't think all companies really test their accessories on the phones they make them for...other than that they fit okay but not if they affect performance. Those test would take too much time. Funny thing is I got them from a Sprint store and they were $20 for two :/ . I found some, actually the exact one's Moto's sight selling, on Amazon for around six dollars something and they have a space cut out for that area.
Hi,
Has anybody else experienced screen decoloration on the Galaxy S4 Active i9295? like a spot on the top left corner. You can specially see it when the screen shows white and it seems to be worse when the phone is hot, after doing some processor intensive function. The spot is about 2cm high and 0.5cm wide.
When the phone is cold it's barely noticeable but it gets very noticeable for example playing video.

Is this spot all the way at the top of the phone or the top of the display part of the screen? If all the way at the top I had the same exact thing, it was a yellowish spot at the top of the screen that appeared kind of randomly. I wound up swapping the phone for a warranty replacement. I have an I537 by the way.

Hi, thanks! That's exactly it. It's yellowish and appears kind of randomly but specially when the phone is sort of hot. I've had the phone for over a year and it just started so warranty isn't an option. Just hope the spot doesn't get bigger.

I'm still baffled by this myself, not sure what would cause it but AT&T knew nothing about it which isn't much of a shock. For my phone it was always present regardless of the temperature. Mine stayed the way it was so hopefully yours won't get bigger. It wasn't anything too noticeable but it just bothered me that it was there.
Hi fellow Sony-Fans
Recently i noticed several bright marks on my Display. First i thought it was just fingerprints or grease etc. So i removed the screen protector. But them marks where still there. Its pretty subtle but it's visible especially on a white background. It bothers me extremely. The support was no help at (ofc...). When i tilted the phone i noticed that those marks where actually the edges of a much bigger and round mark in the middle of the screen. I guess the heat of the battery somehow affected the screen. I can't upload a picture bc a network error occurs. But even if it's hardly to see. What can i do? I was always careful with the device. It was in a mumbi case and i had a screen protector on it to save it from drops. I bought the phone in March 2018. Shouldn't the warranty check this? (i live in Austria btw). Please show me a solution, it drives me crazy.
I have the same things since april 2018. I bought the first lot of the xz1 company (pre order).
Unfortunetly just a screen replacement will solve this.
This is also the reason I want night/black mode in my phone so much.
These are pressure marks - basically you need to swap display to get rid of them. They happen when the phone is in pocket and for some reason there is pressure - you fall, you sit, whatever. I've had it happen with Sony phones. During warranty period they have swapped the display.
The display of my Moto G5S Plus is showing some strange spots in its display. The spots are in the display itself, it is not dirt on top of it. The spots are slowly growing. At the moment the display is still working normally. If the display is off, the spots are visible. If the display is on the spots are invisible.
Attached images show the spots. The spot on the bottom left appeared yesterday, and has grown a bit today. The spots on the right have been there a bit longer, and are growing as well.
The phone has no damage, no drops, no contact with water.
Does anyone know what it is, and what I can do to stop it?
