I just did a sprint flex this morning and i must say...one of the easiest processes. Go to last page ioroot and download stump, run that then download freedom flex and flash twrp. Im going to update to 2.8.5.0 twrp right now, ill post success or failure for that in that thread

Ok I'm still new to rooting so sorry if this is in the wrong place or sounds stupid. I got my lg flex about a month ago. i rooted it at 4.2. I didn't know that when 4.4.2 came out it would take my root away. well now when i try to use ioroot24 it cant find my phone after i toggle the usb mode. Any one got any ideas?
You cant root KK yet. If you REALLY want root, follow the tutorial at the G Flex General forum for going back to stock. You have to use the lg flash tools to flash stock .tot and then you can re-root. Thats what I did.
I rooted yesterday using ioroot 25 after stock flash and upgrade to Kit Kat on the Sprint LS995 version. It does it via update from adb in the stock recovery

Yeah after having a horrible update and getting caught in a boot loop I went back to starting over with lg flash tool to 4.2.2 taking the OTA to 4.4 and then ioroot 25 I tried the automatic method first and it rebooted to recovery and then choked so I selected apply update from ADB and adb side load kk_root.zip http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=48709232&postcount=869 check the section under not working for manual root method

My verizon LG G2 mic went out. They sent me a replacement phone so now I need to remove root and twrp and set it back to factory defaults. Any help would be appreciated. I did find some info on using the nexus root toolkit but I don't believe it supports my phone.
Thanks!

Hi. I have a sprint gFlex LS995 with ZV3 stock rom rooted.
I don't know how i have messed up with the stock recovery and now my phone is without any recovery in it. I am unable to install OTA update may be because of missing recovery. I tried the stock zv3.tot file using LG flash Tool but the recovery is still missing.
Can anyone give a link to LS995 ZV6 update .tot file for lg flash tool as i am unable to update using the zip file due to missing recovery.
Please help.
Use the top from the back to stock post. I just used it yesterday cuz I've been on 4.2.2 rooted since the week the phone came out. Used the back to stock and took ALL updates back to rooted and happy!

Hi. I am looking for help on how to root my Moto G 2014 (Second Gen) Running Lollipop 5.0.2. it is an unlocked phone, if that helps. The reason I am asking here is I have searched for a tutorial on how to do this, however I can only find how to do specific parts of the rooting process and would like to have an in-depth tutorial
You have to flash twpr from fastboot, ans next to this you have to flash from twpr SuperSU 2.45

Here is a guide to unlocking and rooting
The video is for 4.4.4.
I also would like to have a rooting tut for 5.0.2.
Some say you have to use chainfires rooting toolkit because lollipop will overwrite the custom recovery with the stock one when rebooting.
Others recommend nevertheless flashing twrp through fastboot and than flashing superSU 2.45.
And I've also seen a posting that just booting instead of flashing into twrp through fastboot and than flashing superSU will work on 5.0.2.
Can anybody confirm that?

Follow this guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Upgrade to lollipop 39b
Root your device using lg 1 click root.
Download Autorec for ur variant from playstore, and install TWRP
Update TWRP to latest . ( for these steps, there's a guide i have written , you can check it for info)
Make a backup of your rom, and u can install any custom rom and experience them before u decide to make one your daily driver.
