try to wipe the battterystats

Blinking LED is always a problem. Take out the battery for a while and try again. If that fails, your motherboard is dead.

[Q] N1 suddenly dead

Hi,
I have a rooted N1 and has suddenly dead.
The device was fully charged and powered off after half an hour.
I pulled the baterry and tried any button combinations, tried to charge even through USB. The device doesn't boot up, it doesn't start and I can't see the google logo, the charging LED doesn't lights up either.
Is my mobile bricked?
How has the modible been working for months after flashing the ROM and stop working?
Thank you.
Maybe the phone bricked... Or something in the phone broke. Try the reset combination again and try leaving it out of battery or power cable for some minutes
Hope I helped

Maybe you can try with a different battery? How old is your phone and have you had battery problems?

Hi,
The phone is roughly 4 years old and I haven't had any issue with its battery. In fact, I already have another phone and its battery lasts much less than the N1's. The battery was charged 30 minutes before the mobile dead.
I didn't know the mobile could get bricked even it works for so long time.
Thank you.

You can try to see if your battery is still alive / if your phone's display is working . I found a thread where the guy did a lot of stuff to his phone to cause the problem. I presume your phone was not subjected to any damage recently?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=839431
Is your phone on by any chance and its just that the display is not working?

Thank you, I've already checked that post.
The device doesn't power on nor the charging LED lights. I haven't made any change (major nor minor) to the phone before it stopped working. No app installed in the las weeks, no SO upgrade, not a single change has been made.
Thank you again.
Only thing is try another battery like mentioned. It's electronic, sometimes it just die.

It's hard to find other guy with the same phone model. It's clera that N1 was a bad business for Google.
I tried another battery and it worked out.
What I really can't understand how people say that my phone could be bricked if it doesn't boot up and the charging LED doesn¡t light, is that possible?, how could I unbrick my phone whether I can't boot it up?
I'm sorry about my ignorance in the mobile phone's world?

[Q] Help! My NOTE1 wont turn on, wont charge, as in nothing at all!

My Galaxy NOTE1 (International Ver) just turned off by itself this morning. I'm pretty sure the battery did not get drained because it was still around 75% by that time. When I checked it now, it just wont turn on, no response when connected to pc, no charging notification.. nothing at all just plain dead.
It is rooted with custom ROM Ultimate Jelly Bean and SpeedModKernel.
Here are some of what I have tried:
*Removed the battery and inserted it again (did couple of times and varying times)
*Charged it hoping it just got drained
*Hit it against a table a couple of times
*Cleaned the battery terminals
*Hit it again a couple of times
Any idea what happened? :crying: :crying: :crying:
any access to recovery or download mode? Also try a battery that is charged for sure.. May be the battery just died.

[Q] Battery / % / Calibration Issue

Hello, i've been using my HTC One M7 for over 9 months now, and i'm facing some major issue with the battery, it's very awful ! i'll post some screenshots at the end, i've made a lot of researches to try fixing this battery issue:
TUTO 1 : when the phone shuts down, plug it to the original charger and wait for 2 min, then press and hold the power key + vol+ and vol- for 5 minutes and release then when the screen is on [Not Working]
TUTO 2 : download an app from the market for battery calibration [Not Working]
TUTO 3 : for root users, wait until your phone is dead, and plug it into the charger for about 3 hours for full charge without turning it on, then just power it up and let it rest for 30 minutes [Not Working]
TUTO 4 : flash a ROM [Untested]
what happens, is that my phone is draining battery normally but when it reaches 40% (sometimes before) and i'm using any application, it'll shut down and state that the battery is empty, if i waited the 40% to pass and then launch an app the battery will jump from 40% to 28% then to 12% then 1% and shuts down.. some people say it's because of the power saver.. some say it's from a third party app.
before it happens only when my phone reaches 9% then jumps from 9 to 3 then shuts down.. i'm lost, any one ? please
Got also the 9% failure. Tried to calibrate my battery but it didnt work. Since I flashed a new ROM it disappeared.
Calibration of the battery is a myth that was put to rest long ago by many. Even Google's own developers said it was a myth.
this one is after flashing the ViperOne Rom and the ElementalX kernel.. i'm still having this issue :/

I don't remember who posted it but this worked for me.
Charge your phone to full while booted up / unplug phone
then reboot recovery / plug phone in and wait till it says 100% in recovery
power off / unplug phone / plug in the phone and wait till the battery says 100%. It seems the 3 different modes / booted up / recovery / and off all have different ideas of when the battery is actually full. The whole process took about 15 min.

I let mine charge overnight it said full, but in recovery the phone was only at 87%. after about 10/20 min. charging it was full. Then with the phone off it again showed less than full like 93% .. 10/15 more min. and it said full
what recovery do you have ?

sorry to bring this one up again but I am also having this exact problem, also if I turn the phone back on it will load up but as soon as it finishes booting it thinks the battery is at 0% so it turns off, after doing the calibration method once, it finishes booting up and shows how much battery there really is which was around 12% when this last happened last night.
I am actually running completely stock Android 4.4 not rooted or any mods.

My Battery lasted 7H 19M today, phone showed it was 55% remaining and turned off.. as you can see in the attachment of the battery history
Had a similar bug long ago. Factory reset fixed it (I think). I deleted everything on the phone so that I HAD to RUU a ROM on the phone. After that my battery worked normally. Maybe a bug, a virus, anything but I formatted it and now it works like a charm.

Have you tried a hardware battery recalibration?
The battery calibration starts with the phone completely off. The steps are as follows: Charge the device for at least 10 minutes using the original charging cable in a wall outlet. With the device powered off while still plugged into the wall outlet, press and hold the volume up, volume down and power button for two full minutes. Use three fingers to hold these buttons and do not let go at any time. They will be held in at the same time for this to work. After two minutes, you can let go. At this point, the device should boot up and battery/charging logic will be re-calibrated.

I also charge the phone to 100% then boot to recovery and let it go to 100%
then shut down the phone and charge it to 100% ...all three areas show different battery levels. when all 3 are full your good to go

Battery Problem pls URGENT HELP!!!

I have tab s 8.4 lte model. Got it new. I was getting 3-4 hours of screen timing which was ****,
I did the back cover removal procedure and disconnected and reconnected the battery connector to see if it fixes the problem.
I then started tne device and draimed the battery to 0%. I then connected charger and charged the tab for over 5 hours. Just now i saw that it showed 100% charged.
I removed the charger and switched the tab on and it says 1% battery...WTFFFFF???
I connected charger again and now it says 9% left.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?? CAN SOMEONE PLS HELP ME?
Its probably not reading the battery correctly. Have you tried recalibrating and drain and chargeing it for like a couple times?

Im guessing your rooted. Well go into the play store and search for battery recalibrate. Pick one and install. Then follow what it siads to do and it should clear your battery stats. Now about the charging, i had a phone that didnt go above 50percent charge. So what I did is let it drain completely till it cannot turn on with the power button. Now just use a different charger or somesort and let it charge fully and dont turn it on till its at 100 percent. Then try and turn it on without the charger and see if it reads correctly.

Now completely drain and charge it for about 2 times. If that doesn't work then it might be something loose with the battery.

im ****ed because there is NO samsung official repair centre where i live and other around here the local ones are ****!
Had same problem custom kernel fixed my problem i have tab s10.5 lte battery drained from 100 to 0 in 40min
---------- Post added at 04:16 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:09 PM ----------
If u dont want to try custom kernel install advanced battery calibrator from play store and try with that it seemed to help with tab s aswell
Yeah resetting the fuel gauge could help. Try sky high kernel
Hi there. I also face exactly the same problem as you. Today I open the back cover and disconnect and connect the battery connector. But my Tab S become worst. Does your tab become better?

Its not software problem. I have flash the stock firmware and wipe everything and reset still the same. I also put custom rom also doesnt fix it. Still the same. I guess I got the defective one. Custom kernel also no use.
Gee wilikers Beav, could it be a bad battery?

Then your best chance is to rewert it to stock and hope that they wont check knox count in warranty repairs.
I'm guessing you have a micro sd inserted.
Check your battery stats. See if "media server" or "indexservice" is in a high percentage. Turn it off. Tha saps the battery more faster than Sylvester says "suffering sukatash!"
Heavy usage results into 4 hours batt average
If all else fails looks like you have a faulty battery
HI... How things athithi going on? Can't you replace by your self the battery? Someone knows where to buy an OEM battery?
My 8.4 battery is doing really weird things.
It'll be at say 34% and then plummet to 5% and shutdown.
So i plug it in, and the battery meter icon will pop up saying theres 25% battery available!.
I turn on the tablet and use it normally again. Very odd/
i had this issue once , the battery went crazy , auto reboot after a few minutes, then i went to customer service and they said that this issue was common :v They fixed the battery connector and it was normal again :v
Download battery monitor, this is probably the most comprehensive battery app available. It will tell you if your battery is actually charging and not just the phone detecting the charger being plugged in. It measures mah, if this doesn't change then the battery isn't charging
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...monitor&pcampaignid=APPU_M-GyVIHrIpbxaIamgdAD

Phone shut down suddenly when i turn it on it became 0% from 73%

My phone has a battry issue or the fake charge
It charge's t'ill 100% when turn it on i found it 90 or 80%
When i use it i benifit from only 15 or 20 % then it shut down suddenly and turn on with 1% or it won't

What rom are you using ?
Probably the power IC is damaged. If that's the case I fear that you will have to replace the entire board.
Sometimes happens after you flash a ROM.
Try using a battery calibration tool and see if that works......
I proposed this to a partner, you have nothing to lose, I tell you what I've done with something similar: download the whole battery, when you turn it on, nothing comes out, maybe it just vibrates, you remove the battery, the sim and the sd, so you put the power button for a few seconds and leave it like this for 4 or 5 minutes, after that time you set everything up and put it to charge, use it later until the battery is fully discharged, do not load it before only when it turns itself off, I hope this helps you
Same problem
