Just do a dirty flash (ie flash without wipe) of the ROM.zip in recovery
Thank for your reply.
I didn't mention it in the first message but I am a complete idiot... here's why :
No zip in phone :/
édit : and obviously as I am a COMPELETE idiot I erased everything from the recovery menu "wipe"
Use Odin to flash the file
Sent from my GT-S7562 using xda app-developers app

Do you have an OTG cable? you could use that.
If not connect your phone (while in recovery) to the PC, and
"adb push <name of rom>.zip /data/media/" (this will take 5 to 15 minutes)
that will put the rom on you phone
Downloading OTA M7 UL JB43 SENSE55 MR HTC Europe 3.62.401.1-2.24.401.8 Release 338160gxmo5sd9337kadux as we speak.
I'll try that in 10mn as it is downloaded

That's on OTA upgrade file, won't help you. You need to flash a ROM on your phone. To get the ROM to your phone, one of three methods:
1- OTG cable
2- adb push
3- adb sideload
thank for being so patient...
I'm looking for a 4.3 zip then adb push

check the development thread for a rom that suits you, download the FULL file (not an OTA), then use adb push to get it to your phone, finally flash it in recovery.
thanks

RUU Zip M7 UL JB 50 HTC Europe 1.28.401.7 Radio 4A.13.3231.27 10.31.1131.05 Release 310878 Signed

you dont need the RUU, just download the odexed or deodexed ROM from the thread you posted.
adb push to your phone
and "install zip" in recovery
Saw your message too late so I am downloading the deodexed.
BUT
I tried the RUU => FAILED TO FLASH -_-
I am a bit concerned... Will it work with the other one ?

yep, it will work. use adb push to get it on your phone, then select "install zip" (or whatever it's called) in recovery, and you're good

"Root" can't really be lost like you hear people talk about in the forums, it just means that the bootloader is unlocked and you've got recovery and a rom that has superuser, recovery and an unlocked hboot means you're free so to speak, from there you can rock on and simply flash a rom and kernel with root access and you're good to go, so don't sweat that message. Once you're back on your real setup you'll be good to go.
tl;dr version, don't panic about not having root you're way past the panic stage (like having a phone that can't be unlocked thats when to panic lol)

Look, if you want to update only the firmware, then an RUU isnt required. The firmware can be flashed using the fastboot ruu command. The firmware downloads are in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2419699
An RUU is required only if you're going back to stock and unrooting the device.

If you are not S-OFF yet, do that first. It's not necessary for flashing RUUs, but will help you later with the manual flashing of OTA.zip.
There are RUUs available on the internet (for example htc1guru.com) for your developer edition M7 of KK44 + Sense 5.5. Flash that and check whether you get the OTA. If not, download the OTA package and flash via stock recovery.

If your phone is S-OFF you don't need to relock the bootloader to flash the firmware. Never flash firmware that are not made for the M7 on your M7, this will brick your phone. In you case you can flash the 7.19.401.2 firmware and then flash the 7.19.401.22, 7.19.401.30 and 7.19.401.51 firmware patches incrementally.

Yo do realize the file posted above are Lollipop based firmware? Why flashing it if using Kitkat? You should always use the correct firmware for your android version for better performances and stability.
So I found
6.09.401.10
6.09.401.11
6.09.401.12
Should I flash those incrementally or just 6.09.401.12 ?

Better to flash the one that match your software version and make sure that you are using a complete firmware.zip file, not only a firmware.zip extracted from an ota update.
Is that complete firmware? https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087019285
Contains 17 files.

it looks fine, but packed with twrp recovery instead of the stock recovery
So I flashed back KK firmware.
All went OK, but what I noticed coold boot is much slower than on LL firmware.
To double check I flashed LL again. All seems to be working fine on KK and LL firmware.
Thanks for help, Mike
