Hi
I'm now using Android. I've installed Bluedict and Ankidroid (flash card app), when I search a word I can simply use the share button and export it to the Ankidroid. I've found similar apps for wp (Qdict and Ankiapp). I just want to know whether there is something like this possible on wp or not.
Can't someone please tell me whether WP has a function like sharing with any app or not?

hello,
anyone else a bit paranoid using third party software to store passwords and bank information? what keeps the program from sending over the pw/login file to someplace and have it hacked?
therefore, im looking for an encryption program and found secubox. however, id like something like truecrypt. anyone know of better?
thanks
Encryption for Passwords
Try keepass, can be found at http://keepass.info open source. The download section also contains link to a PPC and smartphone version.
Not had any problems so far and been using it for about 7 months.
you can also go to your settings > systems > and encyption.
to only allow your device to see whats in the storage card

It sounds like you're looking for FreeOTFE4PDA and FreeOTFE, which works on both PCs and Windows Mobile (see: www.FreeOTFE.org)
Hi guys, I have been using Lock 2.0 and I think it's a great app, only problem is that after a reboot it doesn't auto-start itself, I have to go and re-open the app for it to re-enable it, does anyone know how to make the app auto-start after a reboot?
i would be interested in a way to autostart any app. if someone knows how to accomplish this please let us know. i am willing and knowing to edit system files, sqlite databases and also teh contents of .apk to achieve this.
I did find this app:
http://www.androlib.com/android.application.nk-bla-android-autostart-qmnB.aspx
I have no idea how to do what it says in the description though so can't try it out, if you want to give it a go and know how to accomplish the task in the description, please could you tell me how to do it? cheers
it runs a shell script on startup. there are at least 5 different ways to accomplish this with android on-board tools, the problem here is: how do i start an app from a script/commandline?
Restore Android whatsapp history to windows 8 whatsapp, can this be done, if so please tell.
Getting my windows 8 phone tomorrow.
Thanks for reading :victory:
It can be done once whatsapp saves the backup file according to your system, so android files cant be open in wp.
Hmm oke too bad, however i found this for an iphone to android.
that you copy the whole whatsapp map too android before you install it on android and then when you do it ask you if you want to recover it. This way getting your iphone history into your new android.
there isn't a trick or maybe the same trick that would work on android to windows? i can't try now so maybe anyone got experience with it?
Greetz :fingers-crossed:
You can't (currently) write into the filesystem on WP8 the way you can on Android, so that method won't work. The only option would be if the app itself offered an import feature and could pull the files in from your PC or from something like DropBox. So far as I know, it doesn't have any such feature.
So , apparently there is no native ability to install 2 copies of the same app (Facebook, Facebook Messenger, etc) on this new Pixel 4 XL? If I am incorrect, can someone direct me on just how to enable it, here?!
If I am correct, however, can someone recommend an app that will allow me to do this? Parallel Space, does not work on this phone, either!
Ideas..
Thanks ahead of time!
Glen
I use a separate user account on my device to achieve this. This article might help: Add, switch, or delete users
I know the Store has shut down since last 2 months and most of the Microsoft services for Windows Phone are already dead or cut off. We all know that we can no longer download and install apps in the Store and now we depend on cracked and/or deployable XAP files and APPX/Bundle files on the Internet. But can we share our "surviving" installed marketplace apps thru one app? Like maybe making an ALTERNATE store for WP...
Well, Microsoft would (maybe) not care if we do this since Windows Phone is dead so why not give it a try? Sharing our installed apps (by extracting it from their Installation Folder and zipping it/recompile it) to others would help a lot, especially for users who don't have time to bother buying a new non-Windows smartphone.
Also can someone make or share a "Tap the tile to lock phone screen" app? I desperately need one because my power button is broken.
I would share my installed software if I would know how to retrieve them.

You can (for XAP files) using this method from this YT video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buWOsHd6jdg
The method works for SD card apps.
For Internal, boot phone into Mass Storage Mode (you need to root your phone using WPI). Then, in your PC, go to MainOS > Data > PROGRAMS. Copy either everything or a specific app (via GUID), and do as what the video also show how.
For APPX or APPXBundle apps, go to WINDOWSAPPS folder whilst in PROGRAMS (internal) or WPSystem\Apps (SD) directory. Then, copy the app files.
For APPX, those without any similar names of the app.
For APPXBundle, those with similar names of the app plus the cpu architectures "arm", and "neutral" (there may be two more of those "neutral" ones, but join them also).
Then create (on your PC) a self-signed certificate, pack each package (for APPXBundle, pack them app but put into a seperate folder so that they wont join in the others), sign them one by one, (for APPXBundle, pack them into a bundle, and sign them (again? idk)), and your done.
To check if they're deployable, i recommend deploying them one by one on an emulator or on a separate device. If you deploy one but fails, the tendency of the app with the same app GUID installed on your phone being uninstalled is high.
I know many people still using Wp 8.1 and still need install App for Wp, but Store closed. Waiting for help ! Can some great devoloper do that ? Sorry my bad English !

Did anyone try to look how far we can get in replicating the original App Store's backend? Might hit a road block sooner or later with signing etc., but I was surprised to see at least the initial communication is HTTP only:
Code:
GET /v9/catalog/storePages?typeId=DynamicHub.Main&os=8.10.15148.0&cc=DE&lang=de-DE&hw=520190980&dm=RM-984_1001&oemId=NOKIA&moId=&cf=99-1&Flight=&SEG0=%3B&SEG1=&SEG2=&SEG3=&SEG4=&SEG5=&optedOut=true HTTP/1.1
Connection: Keep-Alive
Accept: */*
Accept-Encoding: gzip
User-Agent: ZDM/4.0; Windows Mobile 8.1
X-WP-Client-Config-Version: 81001
X-WP-Device-ID: ******
MUID: *******
X-WP-StorePage-Cookie: *******
Host: cdn.marketplaceedgeservice.windowsphone.com
That request then times out after a while since it goes via akamai and probably tries to hit backend servers that no longer exist (504 Gateway Time-out).
Unfortunately I never captured the traffic while the store was still working, so the question is how to figure out what to reply to this.
