Hi guys, i search for this subject, but i didnt found a answer on my question..
I have bought an HD2 2 weeks ago, and now i'm searching for an screenprotector. All my friends (no HD2's) have static protectors (so, no glue usages).. They say Static adherence is better, because it leaves no glue when you remove the protector (and adhesive protectors do?).
For the HD2 instead I can find only adhesive protectors, or protectors where iam not sure how they adhere to the phone..
For instance, the 'screen only' version of invisible shield, is that a adhesive or static protector?
Martin Fields notes that their protector is removable, but still with "A mild adhesive"
Also it is not clear if the basic protector of HTC is using Adhesive
I found one protector for HD2, that is using Static adherence: ScreenGuardz (screenguardz.com). Problem is that I dont find anybody who bought this allready..
In short i have 2 questions:
1. Is it true that when you remove a protector with adhesive adherence, there will stay some glue on your phone?
2. Adhere the "screen only" protector of invisible shield adhesive or static? And if this one is adhesive, do you know an other static protector?
Thanks in advance, Proces
I got a Martin Fields one, the best I have ever seen. 90% clear in ads but I have to say nearly 95% or 99% clear. Smooth sliding like original glass. I dont have a good hand but it's really easy to install with no crazy bubbles. I removed it once for washing, no feel of glue at all.
I used to buy cheap screen protector but this time I went for Martin Fields. I didnt want my lovely HD2 to be damaged. No regret at all. It's just worth it.
Is Martin Fields Scratch-proof like the one from zagg.com That's a lot better then that you've to replace your screen protector every month(s).
I havent used zagg invisible shield so I cant answer u. But from what I read so far, zagg is not really so invisible and Martin Fields's protector is not better at anti-scratch than zagg's one.
However, some guys said after a long time using zagg, there's some odd brown spot in his shield for HD2, look like mudd or sth else. And zagg is not as smooth as Martin Fields. That lead me to my decision.
The ones I use is Exim, used it on my last few devices and it is perfect. Can't tell a screen protector is being used both visually or by touch.
The Exim protector seems to be nice! No glue, and (according to the ads) perfect quality.. Can you tell something about your experience with the Exim? How went the installation (and re-installation)?
Martin Fields or Exim dont make a difference in price (£10).. The glue free feature of Exim makes me think to choose the Exim.
Other opinions why I have to choose an other Screen Protector?
Use a Brando Ultraclear: fits perfect with no glue (removable, washable and re-usable). I'm using on hd2 and is totally unnoticeable; i had on my previous device (and on my TomTom also) and after one year there are no scratch on surface and the screen protector appears like brand new

Installation is the same as any other screen protector. After I installed it, if there is any dust specs behind the protector, I simply lift it up with masking tape and use another piece of masking tape to remove the dust.
I just removed my exim from my old Diamond (after 2 years ish) and the screen is in perfect condition with no residue left.
Anyone got a photo of the HD2 Martin Fields protectors on the phone, to get an idea of fit - got the HTC ones and they were terrible but would ultimately like one to be on the safe side...

So, after all, there isn't much difference between the different brands (Martin Fiels, Exim, Brando)?

I can't comment on how the others that you mentioned performs as I have never used them. What I can say is that the exim does not reduce sensitivity, I had a normal cheap one on and I couldn't stand it as the screen was desensitised.
well I can tell you about different screen protectors.
i had invisible shield on my hd for 1 and half year, no visible scratches, now changed screen part to htc branded, it has been for one week and there is 7 very visible deep scratches.
same time that i bought htc branded for hd i bought brando ultraclear for hd2 and it has not even slightest mark, even that it has had much more usage than hd. also had same brando on my htc wizard for 2years and it got 2 very small marks.
martin shields is about the same that brando, maybe even better, had one on my diamond. but brando is better fit i think.
i recommend brando or martin, they are superior to any other. zagg invisible is god but its kinda sluggish for first 2months when brando, martin are very slicky nice.
cheap protectors like htc are BAD if one package has more than one it cant be good since even they dont trust their own product.
God its annoying, coming from the Xperia S it was easy to get a protector on with no bubbles. It just went on the problem with the Xperia T I think is that the edge is raised slightly so even if you're a little bit out it will bulge at the sides. I bought them cheap off ebay so maybe they're not the correct size, but its pretty irritating and I have put many a screen protector on so have some pretty good knowledge and technique to applying them.
Any advice? Is this well known issue with the phone?
cheers

I have Zagg screen protector applied for... 8 moths now and a cheap silicon case since I bought the phone. The screen protector is little bit smaller than the screen so it leaves about 1,5 millimeter of space in the left, right, bottom of the screen and some more on the top. I am really proud of this screen protector and I advise you buying one. It's not cheap but they have their replacement program (if you send them your old ZAGG protector back, they will send you another only charging you for the letter). I already used one replacement - I applied the protector without reading any instructions and I ended up with many many bubbles. But with my next try I read their instructions, video and used the cleanest room in my house (it's pretty important IMHO). Now everything is good, no bubbles at all. I guess you would have to find correct protector, not the cheap one because it will always be something not right.
My phone is T. Xperia T.
You definitely have an bad quality protector. I applied protector that I get with Xperia T, and it went smooth on first try, like never before. Your problem is protector dimension, as it seems a bit oversized. It should not cross the edges of display, and my three reserve protectors I have for my T are not crossing it either, just like original one. The only solution for you, is obvious solution, go for other protectors. Nillkin ones are good protectors too, but are rare on eBay, with just a few sellers.

The quality from China can differ dramatically. The cheapest ones usually are cut badly, don't apply easy, leave bubbles, have rainbow effects, and peel off easily. But some of the cheapos are not bad. I had most success by ordering medium priced ones from Hong Kong. The Zagg one sounds interesting but the price is too high.
Yeah the zag ones are tempting but I'm not spending that much on screen protectors lol
it's just I've bought many off ebay for my previous xperias and never had an issue with oversizing, it doesn't seem to be too large its just that it need to be applied PERFECTLY I think, which is near about impossible...
Order here http://stores.ebay.com.sg/Rocky-Mobile?_trksid=p4340.l2563 . They are all-right for the price, though there is some rainbow refection.
5 in one pack and for less than one. On 3. attempt it will be sitting all right.
Any idea if screen protectors for the original Z tablet are going to fit on the Z2?
Go with Tempered Glass Protector!

I personally bought this from ebay: H1 Ultra Thin Clear Tempered Glass Film Protector F Sony Xperia Z2 10.1" Tablet
I have put it on my z2 and it looks great and I have the extra protection.
I actually didnt think these tempered glass were really what they say they are, but this weekend, my phone, z1s fell and had a crack on the screen. I was so upset! :crying: But when I inspected it closer, I noticed the crack was on the tempered glass I have on it!!!! :victory: so it really did work and absorb the break. So that $10 glass saved me a bunch of money!!
So if you dont have one, think about getting one. Well worth the $15 you pay for.

screen protectors for Xperia Z tablet works on Xperia Z2 tablet, im using it on mine atm. it fits perfectly if youre still wondering .
anyone got any suggestions for matte ones?
I bought an ebay cheapie. It works re: anti glare and has actually really helped the fingerprint magnet factor / made the surface 'slide' better, but it has a weird polarising effect that's clearly visible as a sort of strange colour/pattern overlay, so on the fence about whether it was the right move or not...
On the first Sony Tablet S there was an official screen protector that had all the anti glare properties but didn't show a funny pattern, I'm looking for basically that effect.
I bought this tempered glass screen protector from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191544717348?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Not too expensive and it arrived very fast from Hong Kong (1 week) and in a crazy overdone packaging. It was inside a large foam box, so no chance of it breaking in shipping
It comes with a wet and dry wipe and installation is like every other glass screen protector. It was a bit tricky to get it on, since it's so large, but I managed on my 2nd try. I'm pretty happy with it, no bubbles and no weird colors. I was hoping it would bring less fingerprints, but it seems to be about the same as without. The screen touch seems to be better though somehow.
Also keep in mind that the hole on the protector isn't for the front facing camera, but for the ambient light sensor! At first I thought I had received the wrong item
I recently changed from my normal plastic screen protector for a 0.3 MM glass screen protector and love it! Looks way better than plastic ones, resists scratches much better and I can slide my finger over it much more easily. Would definitely recommend a glass protector. Buy one for your phone to try it first if you're unsure as they do cost quite a bit more, but for phones aren't much more expensive than cheap plastic ones.
Hello there possible saviour of headaches,
I've been browsing around for hours now through fake/legit comments recommending this or that product.
It seems as finding the perfect screen protector for this phone is a hassle, so my question is, of the ones that YOU'VE tried.. which satisfied you the most?
Please post pictures, if you have the energy to do so, on the current state of your screen protector.
Thank you for your time!
Ps. You may claim the title "saviour of headaches" after your contribution.
If you need protector not tempered glass
Buy from official site
I'm using this one https://es.aliexpress.com/item/ZNP-Vidrio-Templado-Para-Xiaomi-Redmi-4-4-Pro-4X4-Redmi-Nota-4-Nota-Pro-4X/32836035031.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.XaBkJF

3mk Arc (also 3mk Arc 3D if you need back/sides protection aswell), it's screen protector over whole screen (it's foil not glass, and yes it goes over the edges aswell), perfect fit it's not even noticable and it's not coming off anywhere, 0 bubbles and it has self regenerating coat..
I tried a lot of screen protectors including Aliexpress ones but they are all trash, all of them have some issues (mostly poor fit, or some weird color issues). But with this i'm 100% satisfied, im not looking for glass protector anymore. This is enough for scratch protection, for drop protection i have case..

Here you have video with 3mk Arc 3D (for different phone) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2phEqkGAAnQ
This is their official store: https://folie-ochronne.3mk.pl/pl/c/Redmi-Note-4-Global/1369 39,99 zł. is around 10 Euros.
I live in Indonesia. I know one trusted screen protector brand. The brand name is INDOSCREEN.
They have some type of screen protector with price range and technology which you can check on their website.
If this brand available to your country I suggest you choose their top line options. Mask premium series hybrid film model for instance. It's impossible to break, made from PET plastic - glass, absorbs low to medium impact, and delicate to touch, oleophobic coated too.
This black and red packaged product is quite pricey. But no compromise quality and lifetime warranty plus 3 times free changing sure is worth the money.
I think the main reason why we not getting a proper screen protector is because of the curved screen ... I hate that 2.5D glass screen. Life was much simpler with a flat screen.
And thats why you shouldn't use tempered glass on this phone but good quality screen film / foil with full screen coverage. 3mk is really top notch quality but feel free to look for some alternatives, i'm not looking anymore.
I use brotect mate since 1 years, perfect ! Find on ebay

My preferred across several devices now is the Nillkin Anti-Glare with Matte finish. It's up to personal preference, but they're the ones I like most. Every new device I migrate to, I purchase 2-4 of these for its lifetime. I like their visual acuity (not as "clear"), touch and feel, ease to clean, and oleophobic effectiveness.
"Nillkin Matte Mi5" will find it on ebay, AliExpress, etc. Check youtube for examples. Like with most plastic film, replace every ~6-12 months depending on your preference.
I´ve been using a no name anti glare foil from Phonenatic and does a good job. Bought on e-bay, a 2 pcs set was €2,40. https://www.ebay.at/itm/371815842272 and also have a 9H glass, this is okay as well. https://www.ebay.at/itm/372136883554
I use this: https://www.gearbest.com/screen-protectors/pp_1284329.html?wid=1433363 and i am very happy with it, it also has all the holes in the right position, so you don't even see and feel that you have it installed
Hey everyone
I am trying to find a screen protector that has a few features
- easy install
- tempered glass/oleo-phobic
I recently bought some nuglass one and the back film that you pull off with the "back" sticker didnt come off, the sticker did but not the film lol i was so confused.
Anyway, i found this video, looks good but the seller on amazon widamin does not ship to australia
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=df4mVqalPxE
And i also heard the Flosmall one was good, but you have an install kit and apparently have to apply adhesive around the edges yourself which kinda makes me nervous
any help would be appreciated.

Thank you for the response, my question is which one did you buy and how well did it work, there's so many to choose from and that's the problem, i have tried one from ZUSLABS which didnt workout as i explained in the initial post
I bought tempered glass made from MAXSHIELD.
Its really good cover your whole screen.
I'm satisfied. Though my personal favourite brand is NILLKIN but can't see that for mate 10 hence bought MAXSHIELD for $8

Odd, the last Maxshield one i tried was for my Oppo A73/Oppo F5 ( the phone i had before the mate 10 ), and it fit the screen just fine, but only had adhesive around the top and bottom of the protector, and had this odd grid like pattern that you could see if you turned the phone sideways under light, it also had no oleo-phobic coating/finger print resistance, i ended up removing it and it broke all over the screen.
I guess maybe they upped their quality with the mate 10
Honestly, they all stink. The problem with the ones that have black edges is that they pretty much don't work with a case, as the case will pry the protector off. The Nillkin is the best I've seen and tried, but it doesn't cover the edges because the edges are curved (the ones with black edges are just hiding the curved edge from sight btw).
I spent money on quite a few and sent all of them back except the Nillkin, which actually shattered and I don't know how. I never dropped it. Anyway, pretty much since the start of 2018 I've been going naked. I will admit if you hold my phone up to the light there are 3-4 extremely minor scratches around the bottom right of the screen (which incidentally is where I touch the screen the most with my right thumb).
I know even small scratches bother some people, but it's not like you would ever see them with the screen on or feel them with your finger. I wouldn't even know they were there if I never went looking for them.
