This could be more of a development question but something else may be causing my issue.
Whilst on 4.4 I made a pretty basic remote application that I use daily. Since installing Android Revolution 91.1 (5.0.2) my app no longer seems to transmit the IR codes and I've had issues when trying to use some other IR apps, although some have worked.
From searching I found an answer on stack overflow to a question titled 'ConsumerIrManager not working on HTC m8 lollipop' which suggests HTC have stopped supporting the Android ConsumerIrManager and gone to their own IR api. I'd have thought there would be more results if this had happened as I downloaded a few random remote apps and had issues with them on my M7 running 5.0.2.
If this is the case could anyone provide advice on how to get my application sending IR patterns with the HTC IR API?

All Android handsets by HTC fail on bluetooth, please correct if I am wrong. The latest Eclair for Hero is not there also.
My question is why phones made by other manufaturers do offer bluetooth, front camera etc.
It seems that HTC will make as much as possible without offering standard features.
What are you on about? My bluetooth works fine and always has.
Thanks for reply. I meant BT tethering etc. Please read firstpost again. I tried many different roms. Recommend any for 32B which has BT stack working for tethering.
When paired with my Jeep's UConnect stereo on 1/8/14 build of CM11 i either get a force close or I can visible see my Bluetooth cycling between on and off. Is anyone else experiencing this? And would there be a fix or work around for this?
I haven't found any post in Sprint HTC One CM11 thread but have found for other devices with no work around. Like the ROM but could use some help.
Thanks,
Hello everyone,
I have been following progress on custom kernels and ROMs for a little bit now and I have a question. Firstly, I've wired up this tablet to be my radio in my car, but would like FM. One thing I've come to realize is that the chipset for this tablet is FM compatible. I've tried the Spirit FM app, but after it not working, and some more research, I found that it is not compatible with Mediatek sets (or if anyone got this working, tell me how please). I have recently rooted and installed a custom ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503668).
Is there any kernel out there that has activated the FM receiver in this? If this is already answered, I apologize for asking again, but I haven't been able to find anything.
Please help,
Randy
I'm not sure if I've ever used the IR Blaster on my note 4 or not. I used it all the time on my Note 3. Anyways I just realized I can't send any IR codes via blaster, tried all the usual apps. Smart Remote, the squid one and a couple others. I've already set up remotes in each app. ( I used them all the time).
Is anyone else having issues with their IR Blaster or any ideas to fix. I'm not sure if its my Rom/ Lollipop or what?
Is there anyone in here that has attempted to use a Bluetooth controller for games on 7.0? Every ROM I've tried I have issues with my d-pad sometimes working but mostly not. Its a brand new Steel Series Stratus XL controller. I'm going to go back to 6.0 to see if maybe its a Bluetooth driver issue on Nougat, but just wanted to get others input on this issue.
