Since I started helping out my teammate and fellow developer, @spaceman860 I think his thread has been cleaned out about 4 times and in an effort to prevent that again I want to shift some of the general questions to here
I know the Q/A bot usually does this and for some reason that never happened. Anyways, if you got any general questions that are not answered in the OP found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=58245246&postcount=1 then ask here
If your question doesn't relate to development then ask here. This means, unless your question or your post is coming attached with a logcat or last kmsg or you want to notify us of a fix that you came up with.......it goes in here instead of the ROM thread
Be advice that I'm not playing games with you in here. You start to mouth off or get an attitude, I will close the thread and report you. There was a time where i would go toe to toe with you on here and think it was cute BUT I'm getting old and don't have time for the BS
If you have an issue with someone with myself included, contact a moderator and tell them about it. This isn't the thread to air out your dirty laundry or bring stuff from G+ or Twitter or whatever....
I've reserved the second post of this thread and will utilize it to post the commonly asked questions so I advice you to read that and do a quick search once the thread gets beyond 1-2 pages....
Reserved for FAQ's

[Mod Edit: The Previous Thread by Dutty was removed by request, because of it's sensitive WM 6.5 content, unfortunatly this sometimes has to happen and is not in particular because the developer or XDA wants to keep information away from the Public. I hope, that without going into to much detail that we can count on the understanding of you al. If there are questions regarding Removed threads please don't hesitate to ask a Mod directly At The Moment this is being investigated.
Please take into account a few days before a Response will be available. Thanks for all your understanding and patience]

There are some strange things.
The first: why that thread was closed?? On that thread there were interesting infos usefull for many people here. So, WHY??
Second: why this morning that thread disappeared completely??
Third: why no one seems to have those rom dumps from Rhodium and Topaz??
Only one person seems to have got those dumps, it's clear reading the thread.
SO, WHY NO ONE HAS SHARED THE DUMPs???
THOSE ARE PERHAPS USELESS FOR THIS COMMUNITY????
In my opinion this is REALLY STRANGE, and I can't understand the points above.
Is this a community to develop something together or not??
SO, WHY NOT SHARE THOSE SOURCES(I REPEAT, SOURCES!!)??? Those are usefull for all the community!!! OR I'M WRONG??!?!?!?!?
Please, someone tell me that I'm wrong or let me know what's the spirit of xda-developers!
make a complaint to admin of this site
Uh! Oh!!!
I can't believe it. I hope that some one could explane me (us) what is it? I couldn't believe such a behaviour on this forum. Never seen before and I am there since so many time!!!
About the sharing: where did the spirit of this forum go???
It is obvious you did not even bother to ask any moderator or the admin before starting this thread. Please follow those procedures before you start a new thread accusing a mod of being sneaky and underhanded. This thread is closed as it will not lead to anything productive. We will look into it.
In the future please afford everyone the respect of actually looking into a matter before publicly accusing people of anything.
Banned Luana P because it's an SOCK-puppet account (reg. IP matches the IP of another user).
This account has been opend by another member to accuse other people and keep the "master" safe.
For some reason you blocked me from sending PM.
Weird behaviour of a mod, you don't even give new members the change to explain.
So here is what i wanted to send:
Strange, why you closed my thread?
I just saw the link the polish guy posted and found a few answers there.
But not all answers are in that thread, simply because it's not the same rom.
Ok, i'm a new member and don't know all the rules and find everything right away, but since when is it forbidden to ask simpel questions that weren't asked before?
And b.t.w. new memebrs are forced to spam questions in those threads, because we have to wait 10 posts before we can ask in de dev thread.
I understand why that is, but it doesn't solve the problem because after 10 posts people do it anyway.
Thank you for your help/time anyway.
I now reached my 10 posts, so you can close this thread or place it were it belongs (off-topic thread?)
I understand your feeling but many members newbie or not they say use search button first before asking or specially creating a new thread like the one you create there's a identical thread that tonyp's created in that section you can ask there even your post is below 10 because the q&a section is the section where you should learn first the things you want to know because its full of question and answer

You made a new account just to say that? I'm impressed.
This thread should be closed now.
If there no answers then ask a question in proper thread and it will be added to Q&A.
Your thread was closed, because I reported it as useless.
If MrXT would became moderator, he probably behaved the same. I am moderator on another forum too and some user just don't feel rules that the person must keep to make forum clean. MrXT is just a hater, don't know what his mind is pointed on.
Hulk does his job very good
Sorry, if I offenses you. I wanted to point you to ask all questions in thread that contains library which grows up i properly thread.
Cheers.

What the hell are you complaining about?
Your thread was closed with a very polite message pointing you towards the correct place for your question and your response is to throw a public tantrum....
Nobody has stopped you sending PMs and pointless threads will be closed, just like this one.
Ok, this is getting crazy over here. Why on earth can we not have a SINGLE THREAD about Android L? It is the biggest release for Android and some people are excited. Everybody was confined to one thread prior to this, and guess what? That thread was closed. Why? Because people were apparently "spamming questions" (I didn't read through the entire thread so I don't know exactly what was going down, but the last couple pages didn't see all that bad).
Every other thread now is getting shut down. Seriously, what does it matter if people are asking too much? They are excited! Closing all of these threads are just going to make new people (those who weren't here last night or today) keep posting more topics on the matter. So what if people are being annoying. That main thread that was closed still had some genuine people in it. Who cares if there are a few people throughout the thread asking too much? Let them be! At least it is in one thread and not making a mess of this and the Q&A forum, likes its been since the main thread was closed.
Let this topic stay please, and let anybody speculate, ask questions, build hype or whatever towards Dev preview!
May I just remind everybody who would say something along the lines of "Oh XDA is a developer forum not blah blah blah", which is what I have seen numerous times in these topics that have been closed:
Quoted Directly above the threads here in General!
"Since this is not a development section, you can post on general topics that all users will encounter with the Nexus 5. Any registered XDA user can post in this forum."
I believe all users will encounter Android L, so why can't there be speculation, posts about things that were discovered, new pictures ect.? Look I know it gets annoying, but that's when it is all over the forum. Can we just keep this one topic open and confine everybody to it? It will make those who want to talk about it happy for they have a place and it will make those annoyed happy for it is only one thread.
Noble cause, but it won't work. It will derail in a matter of seconds and none of us mods feel like taking on the burden of keeping it in check simply for speculation purposes. Wait for the test version to drop, until then nothing is allowed.
Thread closed.

Agree with the above. All ROMs featured here are the result of painstaking porting, testing and development by the dev, his team and an equally faithful band of testers. All this effort comes for free, without remuneration or salary, as these guys do it as a hobby/interest, in their spare time. Posing such a question is an insult to each and every one of them. All ROMs are equally good, excelling in certain fields and attributes. It would be better to ask "Which ROM suits me best and fits my usage/requirements?". And that, can be best answered by you only. So read each ROMs thread, check out the features and feedbacks on each ROM, and select the ones you want to try. After using your shortlisted ROMs, fnd which fits your bill as a daily driver and use it. Then tell us all about it instead of asking such foolish questions, and that too in the Development Section.

Hello, and welcome to the forum,
Before you click the "New Thread" or "Post Reply" buttons, please take the time to read some rules/guidelines for posting in this forum:
1) Read and follow the Forum Rules:
Plain and simple. No further explanation needed
2) Post your message in the proper subforum (see above):
All questions, requests, and help & troubleshooting needs, go in the Q&A Help & Troubleshooting subforum, if one exists for your device, and any misplaced messages will be promptly moved to their respective location. Users that make it a habit of posting in the wrong forum will be addressed accordingly. If you're unsure of where your post or thread belongs, please read the Forum Rules again.
3) No off-topic discussion:
While some Moderation Teams may allow some off-topic discussion and the creation of off-topic threads, we do not. There is an entire General Off-Topic forum devoted to this type of discussion and there are enough threads already available to meet anyone's off-topic needs. All off-topic threads, and posts containing off-topic discussion, will be deleted promptly and without warning. If you're concerned with the amount of off-topic discussion and misplaced questions in the Development forums, please consider making a Q&A Thread for your ROM/Kernel/Project/etc.
4) No threads or posts asking for the best/most stable ROM/Kernel/Mod/whatever, or created for the purpose of comparing Phones/ROMs/Kernels/Mods/whatever:
These threads/posts will be deleted promptly and without warning. They have a history of causing problems due to trolls, and fanboys, along with various troublemakers, and therefore are no longer allowed. Regardless of that, there is really no way to judge whether or not a particular piece of work is better than another because it's all relative to begin with. If you want to know what piece of work is better for you, install something and try it out for a while. If you don't like it, try something else. Our Developers work hard to provide us their contributions, free of charge. Please show them the respect they deserve by trying something out and giving them your feedback.
5) Don't ask for an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival):
Asking for an ETA is the XDA equivalent of telling a Developer that the free work they do just isn't enough for you. It usually comes across as rude and/or demanding, and most developers will take offense to it. Even if a particular Developer doesn't mind being asked for an ETA, there are many that do, and there's a good possibility that it will incite arguments in the forum. In the end, it's just best to avoid doing it altogether. If you have no other choice but to ask for an ETA (i.e. the work you're doing absolutely depends on it), then please, do it through a private message and keep it out of the public forums.
6) Keep your signatures at a respectable size:
While members are given a great deal of freedom in creating personalized signatures, it is expected that this freedom is not abused. Abnormally large signatures are obnoxious to most users and they tend to be a major distraction from the topic at hand. If your signature is double the size of an average post or larger, expect be asked to change it. If you're not sure whether the size of your signature is within the respectable limits, feel free to contact a member of the Moderation Team that is assigned to this forum for clarification.
7) Be nice:
It's not that hard. If you can't say something nice to someone, don't say anything at all. If you feel the need to respond negatively to someone, please refer to #8.
8) Report all violations of the aforementioned rules/guidelines and DO NOT respond to them in the open forum:
If you happen to notice a rule violation, use the "Report Post" button in the upper right hand corner of the offending post, or send them a polite reminder through private message so they may resolve the problem on their own (for minor violations of course). Please do not respond to posts that are in violation of the rules in public. Regardless of the fact that it leaves more work for us to do when cleaning the forum, responding to them in public only compounds the issue and it puts you at risk of getting in trouble yourself. Moderators have much more effective ways of dealing with these situations than by arguing back and forth and disrupting the entire conversation, so please, let us handle it.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding this or any other matter, please feel free to contact a member of the Moderation Team that is assigned to this forum. You can find a list of the assigned Moderators at the top of each sub-forum page.
With that, here are a few great threads to help you get the most out of your experience here...please take advantage of them:

These are development threads. Q&A belongs in the Q&A section.
I have contacted several people on postings that they have made. And I will try to be watching from here on out to see if things change If they dont I will change them.
Guys I am just trying to keep the threads clean and lean.
