Google search update broke moto voice unlock

About a couple of months ago, I updated Google search, and it broke the ability of moto voice unlocking the screen
I am using pattern lock. Before certain commands allowed moto voice to open Google search even when the screen lock was on. For instance asking for weather would open the weather but you couldn't do anything else.
Now, with voice commands when locked, the screen turns on, it does the transcription and I hear the beep of Google search working in the background but the screen remains locked with the pattern displayed.
Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?
I'm on kitkat with the T-Mobile version. Bootloader unlocked through tmo and rooted. I have xposed with only one module that adds more buttons to the status bar
Thanks

[SOLVED] "Ok Google" Everywhere Missing

I'm running LineageOS 14.1 (rooted) with pixel experience installed. I have added both of these lines to the build.prop.
Code:
ro.product.model=Pixel XL
ro.opa.eligible_device=true
But, the setting under "Ok Google" voice model is missing. I was able to add my voice model through a recommendation that appeared in the system settings app, though, but the hotword still doesn't work everywhere. Does anyone have an idea on how to enable this?
Edit: Solved; Downloaded open gapps aroma and flashed the hotword detection from there.

Magisk module activating listening for "ok google" on the screen off?

I have Oneplus 5T, which does not listen on the off screen "ok google". Maybe it is possible to force this by creating a magisk module? I currently have Android Pie. HotwordEnrollmentOKGoogle.apk and HotwordEnrollmentXGoogle.apk are on the system.

Squeeze/swipe assistant overridden by voice

Has anyone seen this issue from the screenshot? The "hey google" seems to be overriding the ability to use the squeeze or corner swipe.
Turns out clearing the cache of the Google app will fix this...for now. I'll keep and eye on this oddity.

Disable google assistant swipe up.

Got a Oppo Reno 5g and it just updated to C54 with May 2012 security update.
I have swipe up gestures enabled as it gives more screen area.
Problem with new update is when I swipe up bottom of screen to "go back" it also opens up Google assistant, turning off google assistant itself then swiping up, makes it annoyingly open up "your google assistant is ready to help you get things done. TURN ON"
Anyone got any suggestions apart from dont use swipe gestures.
Thanks
Ok panic over....
After loads of searches sorted it.
For anyone else got Google assistant keep popping up, settings~default apps~digital assistant app~ choose none.
