Try changing the USB wire. Also would be useful trying other USB chargers out of using a computer please use another source

Usually doing 2-3 charging cycles does the trick (fully deplete battery and then charge until full).

I'm using MiniCM7 on top of his kernel and no bugs for me except battery.. If battery reaches 15% phone will shut down soon... battery will drain in few moments and battery icon will get into "drained icon" (that red one with x in the middle)...
I connected my charger and phone is not charging... But, I didn't realized that...
Offline charging works for now and we will see
I think battery stats wipe will solve it.... I just have wiped it.. but battery is ****...
Phone is now exactly one year old... I hope it just was my fault because I rearly fully charge my phone...
Anyone had similiar expiriences? I don't trust my battery now....
Try with your stok kernel and rom

Hi,
Off later my mobile's battery has stopped charging to 100%
It started while I was using the Paranoid Android ROM and I thought it was due to some kernel issue. However, post that I have flashed other ROMs including the stock ones but the issue remains.
I had installed Android Tuner and it showed that battery is in good health and the scale is 100%
Has someone faced similar issues? Please share solutions if any

Have you tried wiping the battery stats in recovery? Otherwise try some battery maintenance by letting it completely drain and charge again a few times over.
Hi
Yes I wipe the battery stats when flashing a Rom.. Have also tried discharging the battery completely and then charging it but no improvement..
If there is any specific tool for battery maintenance then I can give it a shot..

I had the problem earlier, drain your battery completely , take it out , after 5 mins plug it in then switch on....let it completely charge

Hmm, my only suggestion is to try yashwantpiduru a few times over. Also, until you get this sorted, try only charging it using your computer to get a slow charge. Don't "rapid" charge your phone using the AC adapter.
Other than that, you may require a new battery, even if it's reporting "100% health"
When I let my phone charge over night, once it reaches 100% it starts to go up and down in percentage. This started happening after root and some app freezes/ disable
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
It might be helpful to name the "some" apps you froze (the "disabled" should not matter). Apart from that: At the second half of your screenshot, the device was permanently connected to power? So it goes down as far as 94% while connected?
Yes that's when I left it on the charger throughout the night. And when you see the slight decrease near the 50% range is when I got a text.
Here are the apps I froze:

I have the same problem using jellybeer and iodak kernel v7 (but also had this problem using optimus prime)
Percentage drop is inconsistent, 92-93-96-98 %, depends on the days
Battery stat reference points are created on power unplug so it's hard to know what's draining battery...while on power, it's not easy to troubleshoot
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
So have you tried to do anything ?
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
I'm heaving the same problem.
Sent from my LG-P880 using Tapatalk 2
At least nothing special about the frozen/quarantined apps. It's about the same stuff I froze (except for "Smart Log Service", "SystemBackupService", and "Talkback"). What ROMs you are on? Maybe that might shed some light (I'm on stock 4.0.3, v10h, and do not have that issue).
I'm currently on stock everything
Sent from my LG-P880 using xda app-developers app
Well, "stock everything" is not detailed enough. There have been several "v10" versions (with Android 4.0.x), and now there are also "v20" versions (Jelly Bean). You need to be a little more precise
When i plug in charging cable to phone, i can hear sound and on the top of screen battery stats changes random numbers for example from 70% to 80%. I downloaded battery apps like 'du battery saver' and it shows that battery 'not charging AC'

Try this : go to dialpad and dial *#*#7378423#*#* and go to service test > battery test and see the status of battery, maybe it needs to be changed.

Are you using the original charger?
If not - try using a original charger and not a cheap chinese-made one.
Second, there are apps that can tell about the health of your battery, there are plenty on the Playstore, try one of them.
PS, have you tried turning it off and on again???

you can also try to charge it throug the special (dock) port on the left side ( those golden thigs) i charged it manually, the top one is + and the bottom one is - ( taped the wires bc i needed the phone to charge and a dock is too expensive. after the charge, removed tape)
i use orginal adapters and usb. in service tests there aren't any battery test. Also in settings 'power management' option is hidden

There is a method for calibrating your batter (basically it just deletes some info on the system regarding the battery, so it creates that info for the battery again).
Just search for "calibrate battery" on the play store, you will find a plenty of apps. Do this and restart your phone. See if that works.

try using flashtool and change the rom ?
try using a different charger !
Or maybe your battery is dead .
Perhaps your phone's usb port is demaged. If you have a docking charger, that will be great for testing whether the port or the battery that cause problem.
i had similar problem, minus battery temp etc. Try to lightly hit tap your phone on the back, over xperia logo and check at the same time the temp.I used with this method get normal battery temp and at the same time the charging was initiated. If this is the same case for you the you need solder one point of the battery on the mainboard
