Hello,
Just installed B609 on Huawei P7-L10 with the three-buttons feature. I see the wifi networks, it appears to connect, but waits at "obtaining ip address" and "avoided poor internet connection". Nothing afterwards. I am at one meter from the router, so there is a good internet connection, and the relevant option is off anyway.
Can someone help, please?
I had the same problem. Have you discover something about this issue?
I have the similar problem, the phone reports as connected but I can't ping the home router. At the same time all other wireless devices in the house are using the same router normally.
It happens sporadically, not all the time, and I haven't found the solution. ?

When i try to connect to a good wifi network, it says authenticating and then right when it says "obtaining IP address" the signal strength goes down.
It stays on "obtaining IP address" and never connects. I've tried factory resetting, reconnecting and everything. Any help?
have you tried the option 'avoid weak connections' (or sth like that ) in advanced wifi-options?
yes but no use...

I use to have that problem with weak connections. Even if I force the connection it keeps trying "obtaining IP address".
Apart that works great, even with very weak signal.
Atention, a weak signal is not the same of a weak connection!
so what did you do?
Hey just click on WiFi settings and uncheck avoid poor(weak) connections...,.hope this helps

Hi,
I'm at a conference and I've lost wifi access from my XPZ (C6603). I'm on stock 4.2.2 build 10.3.1.A.2.67
The phone connects to the main network, but then there's no internet access. My colleague has a XPS and connects without a problem and mine was working yesterday. I have access when connecting through LTE but I'm paying roaming
Google chrome tells me error: DNS_PROBE_POSSIBLE. I have tried many things already google search for the problem, restart phone several times, forget network, changes in DNS from DHC to static, ...
Any solution before trying to re-install the phone firmware?
Thanks a lot!:crying:

In the meantime, the problem solved by itself. When I returned to the hotel I had no problem in connecting to the hotel's wifi and then the next day I could connect at the conference site.
So it seems that some how the problem is in between the phone and the router that gets stuck to an IP address and the solution passes trough either connecting to a different hotspot or reseting the routers.

As it turns out for my situation is that the hospital has been having Internet issues. Perhaps all they need to do is reset the router. Considering I'm hooked up to several machines, I'll continue to use my mobile data.

Hello,
I really need help. I have Huawei Ascend P7 and it is amazing phone but the last week I am not able to connect to wifi. It looks like I am connected but if I try to find webpage or download anything from Google Play, the phone write me that I have no connection. Wifi is connecting and disconnecting again and again. I have right passwords and any other devices work without any problems (computers, notepad and other phones). The same problem is with different wifi (at home, at school...)
I will be greatful for any help.

It's not an issue, it works like that... You cannot have both activated at the same time...

Just one question.
If you have smart TV, and TV have WiFi module, why do you need to "share" WiFi to connect TV to network?
Connect it directly to main WiFi network
Good question.
My TV Samsung 48 inches Model UA48H6400 started giving problem like the WiFi connection drops while Netflix moving on playing. The Netflix get stuck at 25%. I can see the Internet WiFi connection lost from TV. Turning off the TV WiFi gets back and Netflix will run for about 30 minutes and then again WiFi connection drops. I have tried changing IP settings to DNS manual and set to 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 but the problem exists.
So I did turning off TV WiFi connection from router and connect TV with phones WiFi tethering. So I enjoyed Netflix for 2 days with no Internet problem.
Then the phone WiFi tethering started drops when I turn on phones WiFi hotspot tethering and so far no solution found in YouTube or any other source.
I got another interim solution which is I turn on my phones Bluetooth tethering with WiFi Bluetooth bridge. So Netflix is running no problem so far but don't know when this process will be corrupted.
Hope I have explained the situation.
Thank you

Hi everybody,
When i'm on my home Wifi network, i've tryed 2,4ghz & 5ghz bands, a static ip adres, changed various DNS servers. I tryed a full system reset.
Surfing, checking twitter or anything else loading does go very slowly or sometimes takes 15/20 second before the connection pics up. It looks like the connection goes in battery save mode or something like that. When i'm on LTE there are no problems.
I have a Huawei P20 pro for a month now and been never able to get a stable wifi connection only on my home wifi router. First i had a TP-Link Touch P5 router and second a TP-link Archer C3150. I've downloaded all updates on the P20 and on the routers. Other phones, like the Galaxy S8 or a tablet function without any problems. When i use my phone on any other wifi router but my own, there's also no problem with the wifi connection.
I googled the combination of my routers and the P20 for any wifi stability problem but can't find anything similair to my problem.
Anyone has some suggestions to help fix this very annoying problem?
Thank you,
Ron.
I'm having a similar problem here. 5ghz wifi comes to a crawl of max 10mbps down where is I usually get 200. It's only this device.
Basically when it first connects to the network it's finr, but after a wee while it comes to a crawl. Have tried configuring pretty much everything. My modem is a NetComm wireless nfv18ac
I have the same issue on p40 pro.

Since you are saying that it happens only on your home WiFi I would assume it has nothing to do with the smartphone, but with the router configuration.
Do you have some kind of QoS/bandwidth limit configured on the router? Do you have a lot of devices connected? It's a bummer, but maybe try factory reset on the router (save config somewhere before that).
