I just got 5.0.2 ota for my lg l90 in NL.
but i dont have quick settingsin drop down menu like flashlight.
did LG do this on purpose? bcuz a friend has 5.0.2 also on his sony z3 and he has the quicksettings.
any way to get that? my main reason is the built-in flashlight function. i dont want to use an app to turn it on.
bump

I'm telling you if kitkat don't have why border yourself on why lollipop don't have
btw there is many app or module that can enable such for you
I understand what you're asking. I haven't done the upgrade yet, but I think to get to quicksettings you need to do a second swipe down. Try that.

To all of you who don't like the bright lights on hardware keys, both suggestions are for stock or stock based ROMs, search in Play Store:
LG Touch Key Lights
(don't know for stock ICS, but for for GB there was a workaround in hidden menu, but hey an app with "Set on boot" are way more comfortable) than hidden menu. Searching this might lead to some other goodies, I know many have had requests for the hardware keys for notifications like:
LG Touch Led Notification
Let's hope he'll update it or some of our devs continue it as touch led is no longer under active developed
As both apps described there's no link, the authors deserves all attentions.
While at it, I'm planning to zip all my Xperia mods like Sony Walkman, launcher, album, clock, weather and more, but it won't happen before:
1. Got the authors permission to zip them or
2. Just link to their treads
Anyway, can't promise yet, but I hope to get this done as those o2x owners who appreciate Xperia launcher and minimalism deserves even more from Xperia

I tried it with V28e, didn't work for me... Was working perfectly on GB, though.
i disable mine in v28g ICS in display settings.. i think it saves me more batery juice..
i used to have that app to turn the lights off, but it only works on GB...so i asked here and someone told me about this app called RootDim, wich works perfectly on ISC and JB

No but you can add a widget to your homescreen to do the same thing.
I use it all the time.
I add the widget to my dock and its there for whenever I want to turn the screen off.
However, if you don't want xposed module then this is not the answer either because it is another app to install.
But, CRT has not been available for a long time on our phone (GB if I am not mistaken) since it is actually quite difficult to do and no one is really working on it as its too easy to use this app or xposed to get the same result.

Hello,
Does anyone know if there's a way to have my HTC One M7 running Lollipop light up its screen when a new notification arrives? If a third-party app is needed, can you recommend one?
Thank you!

use xtended settings from playstore, it also requires you to install and setup xposed framework first.

I don't understand. Xtended Settings offers the ability to change the look of system elements. Nowhere can I see anything about lighting up the screen.
Could you help me?

Hello,
I'm on 5.0.2 Sony stock FW, rooted. I'd like to be able to add custom widgets to my lock screen (Power Toggles) and to be able to enter my pattern without having to swipe up first. (The dot grid only becomes visible after swiping up from the bottom of the lock screen.)
So basically, I'd like the lock screen to immediatly show a widget and the grid. Notifications are not necessary.
It used to be simple to customize lock the screen... Does anyone know how to get this done?
Thanks!

Well, it looks like you're right. I have even tried several apps. (CM Lock, SnapLock, AcDisplay, Keypad Lock) While some offer better customizability, none show the dot grid without swiping.
I'm starting to miss KitKat already. Who could have possibly thought of this as a good idea?

Lollipop does not support lock screen widgets like KitKat did. I use Power Toggles too and now use the notification feature to show toggles on the lock screen. The reason you have to swipe up is to get past the notifications so you can unlock the device.

Scott, I hadn't considered using the notification feature of Power Toggles. That solves one problem. Thanks!
Also I must admit, coming from an Xperia V, the facial recognition works pretty fast in lock screen. (Found under security > smart lock) That means one swipe usually does the trick towards unlocking.
Sony's not off the hook as far as I'm concerned, though. Reducing customization options is never a good thing.
Besides, I don't like some other decisions they've made. Next up: finding a way to get the kill all apps button back

Glad the notification approach works for you.
Regarding customizations, if you are referring to the lack of lock screen widgets, that is not a Sony customization. It is a change to Lollipop. My Nexus devices to not have lock screen notifications on Lollipop either.

I wonder why Google decided to disable widgets on the lock screen. Surely they must know Android users love customization Security perhaps.

I found a way around this, for anyone who's interested. This thread links to stock firmware that has a "close all" button. As far as I understand, it is currently the latest version and localization doesn't matter. But I'm no expert, so please head over to that thread for any information and questions.

This function disappear when I made upgrade from KK to lollipop. Why?
My phone is LG G2 T Mobile D80130c. Thank you very much.
