NO in FAQ: From Lollipop to KitKat - Sprint HTC One (M7)

Hello everyone,
I want to use SIM Unlock, but it's Mod Edit: removed swearing right now on the Lollipop. I'm S-Off. Any easy way to go back to KitKat?
Thanks!

Since you are s-off you can RUU backwards.
And a friendly reminder this site is used by all ages so please keep the swearing out.

Hi guys,
First i would lie to apologize to start this thread, as many have threads with a similar question were been asked. As I still cant find the correct answer, hence I am starting this thread.
I am currently of JB Stock ROM 4.1.2(20A-ESA-XXX) and i have just rooted my device few mins back without any kind of hassles using the the method given in this link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688).

Have fun mate.

Couple quick questions on what I should do..

Didn't want to hijack anymore threads with my stupidity and lack of understanding. This way I can keep all my idiocy in this one thread.. So, I received my replacement htcone from ATT today. The hboot is 1.44
Should I root now as to get s-off, just in case I ever need to go back to stock or become a google edition Orr whatever other reason there may be.. And if so, which is the best method to use.
Or, should I update to 4.3 first and then root. Or does it make any difference at all? Sorry for sounding stupid on all this, but, well I am stupid when it comes to all this.. Basically, what are the pros and cons
I deft want root to de-bloat and I love arhd roms. I just don't know the best steps to take at this point. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Never mind, I researched and figured it out. Now rooted with s-off. Cheers.
Mods, please delete, thank you..

[Q] Few basic questions

I have looked quite a lot in xda forums as much as google, though I still have a couple of questions for HTC One.
1.If i turn S-off will I still to be able to receive the upcoming update for android 4.3 in my device?
2.As I live in GR(eece) I would like to ask where the model of my phone belongs e.g google play edition,AT&T-mobile ,Spring ...I tried power button +vol up but didn't see what I was reading in a post
3.And finally if I unlock the device will the OTA update be able for me?
Thank you in advance either devs or pips!
you do need to read the stickies and learn how the search option works (very well i might add)

Bad Boyz 4.4.2 ROM Issue - Answering Phone Calls

Since I don't have 10 posts I can't post this to the thread in the dev forum, hoping someone has seen this issue or can forward this off and maybe repost to the dev forum for this ROM.
I just upgraded the phone tonight from an older Bad Boyz ROM to the new 4.4.2 ROM. Since the upgrade whenever someone calls I have to unlock the screen in order to answer the phone. I disabled the screen lock and even after I have to hit the unlock button in order to take the call.
Has anyone seen this happen and is there a solution for this?
Thanks for the help.
Found the issue and all fixed. Please disregard.

Verizon DE4.4.4 update

Ok I have a rooted verizon DE moto x. It just popped up to update to 4.4.4. I was wondering if anyone has just updated there's while rooted and how it went. I don't won't to let it update and soft brick my phone bc I'm not where I can do anything about it for a few days. I would think it would be ok seeing it's a DE unlocked boot loader. Any help is gr8 thanks

First, questions belong in Q&A - not General - please post to the correct forums.
Additionally, please search. You can find all the information you are requesting in any one of these threads of the same exact topic:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/4-4-2-4-4-4-vrzn-rooted-t2831132
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/vzw-ota-4-4-4-problem-t2834435
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/moto-x-qa/getting-error-updating-moto-x-dev-t2835144
Good Luck :good:
If you're on stock recovery, with no stock apps disabled by titanium, and without xposed installed (or at least disabled), it will work. I was stock rooted on my dev edition vzw with stock recovery and the ota installed no problem.
That said... Just wait until you get home. The update is very small stuff and isn't worth being phoneless for days over.
As mentioned above questions should be posted in Q&A not general and there is already threads which this question has been asked and answered. Please use them instead of creating a new thread. Thanks
