[Q] fastboot problem LG G watch R help please - LG G Watch R

Little help Please guys, i have been trying to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP on my G watch R all day now, the problem is adb recognises my watch is plugged in and i can execut "adb reboot bootloader" however once the watch is in fastboot mode it no longer shows up as a connected device in adb, as a result when i try to execute "fastboot oem unlock"
the command window just hangs on "waiting for device" and never does anything.
i have tried updating all of my drivers and restarting pc, watch etc but i am getting nowhere.
debugging is enabled and i am running stock android 5.1.1
any help is appreciated.
thanks

I think you need to install the drivers while the device is in the boot loader, but I'm not sure

There aren't separate drivers for boot loader mode are there ?

Sorted it, not sure why but the version of fastboot I was using didn't work with the watch, used the minimal adb and fastboot of here and jt worked straight away

[Q] Device recognized in ADB but not fastboot

I am trying to unlock my device and keep having the problem of it not being recognized in fastboot.
I have the latest drivers from the android SDK (4.0), and have trying reinstalling them. It appears to mount fine, and all of the adb commands work. However, when I try fastboot devices, it returns nothing. fastboot oem unlock only gives a "waiting for device".
Any ideas?
Thanks
Device needs to be in the fastboot screen of the bootloader...

While I feel really stupid for somehow missing that fact in dozens of threads, it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I now have it in fastboot and at the top is says "FASTBOOT USB". Windows recognizes the device when its plugged in, but still no luck with devices.
Nevermind, I figured it out. It downloaded fastboot from another source. I am guessing that I was somehow missing a file. Thanks though.

Custom recovery problem

Hey so I currently have an unlocked bootloader and I try to flash a custom recovery via fastboot yet it hangs on < waiting for device > every time.
I have followed the cyanogen mod wiki step by step. It hangs on clockwork and amon RA. USB debugging is enabled. When I boot into recovery it says fastboot I then connect it to my computer it says fastboot USB.
I'm sure it will be some little setting that's wrong. I am currently running 2.3.4 stock, no root so rom manager is a no go.
I guess what I'm asking is does anyone know what I can do to flash a custom recovery?
Have you tried "fastboot devices" to make sure you have a connection?
What kind of computer are you using (Win/Mac/Linux)?
Fastboot devices gives an empty line the a new terminal line.
Also I'm running win 7.
My initial suggestion would be to update your drivers for fastboot. I have had this happen a couple times and a driver update resolved it for me.

That means your phone is not connected. Update the drivers, as suggested above...
Much appreciated I will try this when I get home tonight.

[Q] Not Detected in Fastboot?

My phone is detected in adb but not in fastboot.
When i reboot into fastboot, plug the phone in and type "fastboot devices" (after typing "fastboot") nothing happens, it doesnt say "list of devices" all.
I'm pretty sure i have all the drivers install.
The bootloader is also unlocked and i'm running cm7.
Need to get fastboot to work to install blackrose.
How do i get it to work?
make sure you are in fastboot mode and not in bootloader mode...

[Q] Device not recognized in bootloader after wrong flash

Hi,
i am on CWM and forgot to flash TWRP before upgrading ARHD. Now the phone is in a bootloop and cant enter recovery anymore.
I can enter fastboot mode on the device, it even shows "Fastboot USB", but on windows (8.1) i only get the "device not recognized" message, and in the device manager it says "Unknown USB device (Device failed Enumeration).
I use the original HTC cable on a USB port on the backside of the PC.
I have tried using the google adb drivers, and i tried installing htc sync, both to no avail.

Any ideas how i can get my PC to "enumerate" my phone?
ok i got the device to be seen in fastboot - i flashed TWRP, but cannot enter recovery. It shows the Teamwin banner, goes black and reboots.
You need to use the fastboot erase cache command from your pc when in fastboot USB mode on your phone

[Q] Problem with Fastboot

OK, so I;m trying to install the new Android M developer preveiw on my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. I followed all of Sony's instructions and even installed Ubuntu on my Surface Pro to do it. Created the build and now, Fastboot doesn't work. It just says < Waiting for Device >.
So before anyone asks, USB Debugging is enabled and the device is recognized under adb. I don't see the device under fastboot devices, although the device IS in Fastboot mode. Any ideas?
Try to run the fastboot command as root, also sudo ./fastboot
That worked for me
