[S6 Active] Vibration when opening Camera App - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

When opening the camera app, occasionally my phone start vibrating. It doesn't happen all the time, and the vibrations aren't always the same length.
I just got the vibration once, and 4 out of the next 7 times opening the app it vibrated in varying amounts. Of course this affects the picture. After these 7 times opening the app the problem stopped.
This has happened to me on multiple occasions, and I have not found a reason why. I have Smart Alert on, but I tried turning this off in the middle of the 7 retries and it still vibrated afterwards.
Does this happen to anyone else?

its the camera senor. it is normalizing from what i read. happens to me too on snapchat and the regular camera.

So this is normal behavior? I have not experienced this with other phones.

Happens to my phone as well when using the camera app

Mine has been getting worse and worse lately, when I shake the phone front to back I can hear the camera make a tapping noise like something's loose. It's starting to vibrate more often when starting up the camera app.
When it stops everything works fine, I'm not sure if exchanging it is worth it since I'd probably get a refurb. I've had my phone for 37 days.

I'm having the same issue. I see it on other forums too.
ro.ril.sensor.sleep.control=0 In build is supposed to fix it, but not for me.

skyscanner app makes screen flicker

Can anybody suggest what is going on here?
I have found that if I install the Skyscanner flight app (which is very good for flight searches), then the screen starts to flicker and jitter. Once the flickering starts, then it happens everywhere, and only stops after a full reboot (it seems that a software reboot isn't enough to clear it).
The flickering starts as slight jittering, often jumping to the right a little - it's as though the screen loses sync. Then, there is colour flicker, and sometimes coloured pixels are left behind at the bottom of the screen.
I have tried this on two different stock ROM Droid 4s, and both exhibit the behaviour.
Does anybody know what's going on, and if there is a fix/solution?
I noticed this after opening snap chat once, running cm 10.2
Reboot was all that worked here but it has stopped since an update to the app came out. Not sure if that is really what did it though.

Phone vibrates and opens camera from screen off state

Twice now today, my phone's screen has been off, when all of a sudden, it vibrates and the camera app opens.
Some details:
Phone is on silent (not vibrate)
It does not vibrate when I open the camera app myself
My screen is off before it happens, but on (duh..camera) once it happens
It was just sitting on my desk the first time, and it was in my hand the second time
I have no notifications before or after this happens
So that's my issue. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I've rebooted my phone since the second time; I'm waiting to see if it happens again.
Any chance you gave it a good twist?

As the 2 other posters have implied (but not stated), this is most likely the "Twist to launch camera" gesture that is unique to the Moto X.
If you want to disable it, open the camera. Swipe from left to right to bring up the settings menu. Now scroll the settings menu like a wheel. The last icon shows a phone in a hand.
Tap the 'phone in hand' icon - this will disable the "twist" gesture, and it shouldn't happen any more.

Camera error, on vibration but no vibration

Hi guys,
First of all I'm amateur with this stuff.
I bought my HTC Desire 500 last year, everything worked fine until 15 days ago - it was on vibration but there were no vibrations, just like silent mode instead. I dont know how and when but vibrations stopped working. (Yesterday he vibrated all of a sudden, bjt instead of vibrating 3 times he vibrated for like 2 seconds and it sounded like someone is torturing my phone, like he is trying to vibrate but he lose contact or somethin') Few days ago my battery was very low so I turned it off. In the morning I charged him and I wanted to take a picture but it opened my front camera. I tried to slide to main camera, but I couldn't. I've opened my camera settings but no effect. I've tried with other apps but my phone don't recognize my front camera at all. Likenit doesn't exist at all! Yesterday I couldn't recieve any text messages and today no one could call me! He turns off my wifi every 10 seconds, then it takes time for him to connect me, it zooms stuff all by itself.
I downloaded 3 apps first when I bought him and I've disabled few apps I dont need, but I did all of that first day I bought him.
I bought this phone because of its fantastic camera and now it doesnt work.
It's not rooted, I've tried hard restart, factorymode but nothing.
Please help

Multiple issues using Paranoid

I'm having quite a few issues with my ROM'd Z phone using Paranoid. I've recently updated to the latest version as soon as I was alerted.
1. The lock screen freezes, or rather becomes limited in responsiveness. I use the swipe up to unlock. When I swipe up, the clock/notifications just bounces and eventually the screen goes dark, then off. Sometimes I can reset using the power menu, but often the screen is totally unresponsive so I have to do a hard reset. On occasion I have to reset multiple times consecutively because it locks up immediately after boot... until its finally usable again. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7OGcalUJSgHblZob2Q2eHNkLU0
2. The phone gets hot in my pocket. When I notice this, often it has unlocked, turned on GPS, turned on the LED, taken photos and opened apps, or a combination of things. Sometimes even made a phone call, either to a contact or a recent from the log.
3. Recently I noticed it randomly ghost selecting right in front of me. I was unable to unlock and had to hard reset the phone.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B7OGcalUJSgHVmJhQ0FOUDdLQkE
4. I am not getting SMS alerts from Optus 321 telling me I have messages from when the phone was off, or out of service range. Often I won't know till I randomly check days later, or when I miss a call (while on another call or in service range) and they leave a message.
5. Sound drops in and out from the other party. They can always hear me. Randomly, on some calls. I can have 3 good conversations, then the next I have to call back multiple times before I get enough up time.
5a. When I'm making a call, I may not even hear the outgoing ringing tone.
6. On any new call, the the volume on my Bluetooth headset is usually down about half way. I click the Vol+ and it immediately jumps to full, the volume bar already being at full.
7. When it rings, it often takes a second or more (after the ring tone has started) for the screen to turn on.
On suggestion by a friend, I disabled a lot of notifications, but the lock screen still won't unlock even when the only thing showing is the clock.
I guess there is problems with the the phone hardware, the ROM or incompatibilities with it and an APP.
Is there some diagnostics, or an app that I can run that will log what is going on and I can have someone look at those logs for me?
You should ask in Paranoid Support Thread

Thankyou. I could not find it.
edit: That thread is closed. There is a link at the end for a 'new home', but that thread is under Xperia ZL. Is the ZL considered the same phone?
I'm really sorry.
i gave you a wrong link. Shame on me.

Notification sound cut off, now screen won't turn on

Since updating to marshmallow, my longer notification sounds, especially Calendar Snooze, are cut off.
I read somewhere about an app setting to allow it to turn the screen on as a fix. I did that but now I can't remember what app I made the change in or where I read that suggestion. I thought it might have been Light Flow, but I can't find it in there.
Now my power button fails to wake up the screen the majority of the time. Sometimes the lock screen will flash for a fraction of a second and go black again. Usually it takes 6-10 tries before the screen finally stays on so I can use my phone.
Since the wake up problem started when I tried to fix the notification sound, I'm pretty sure they're related. Any ideas?

if youre using lightflow id suggest wiping the data in it and resetting your notification settings. it does tend to override the system so i can see that screwing with the duration of the notification, and starting fresh usually solves most problems
i have mine set to wake the screen for SMS but not MMS. it creates similar problems with the screen
Thanks for the info. I tried just toggling the screen on settings on and back off for all of the Light Flow apps, and it seems to have fixed my screen turn on problem, at least for now.

I'm having the same notification sound cut short problem, I have a nexus 7 wifi 2013 model running Mohamed rom v2.1
Whenever anyone calls me on google hangouts, the ring only lasts for a second before its cut off, this doesn't happen if the front cover is open, it happens only when its closed.
I didn't have this problem on kitkat, but on MM this problem started from day 1.
I don't see any light flow option anywhere.
Any suggestions to fix this will be very appreciated.
Thanks.

LightFlow fixed my screen problems, but it was just a coincidence that I installed Marshmallow and my sounds got cut off around the same time. I'm still looking for a solution to that issue. Similar to you, if my screen is on, the notification sounds work correctly. If the screen is off, they get cut off.
