I've had a HTC Desire 500 for a while now with no issues. I've rooted it with no problems but couldn't figure out how to S-OFF so I left that bit. Yesterday though, when I was using the phone, an error flashed on my screen which said something like 'com.android.phone' has stopped working and then proceeded to turn on again. However, when it was turning on again, it got stuck on the HTC logo with the beats audio logo under it. I can get into fastboot and recovery but my pc doesn't recognize the device in either when I use Windows 8.1 or Linux Mint.
Any help would be appreciated.

Ok so I rooted my hero, but i accidentally tried to load a custom rom with out flashing a recovery image. So when i tried to do that, i forgot to uncheck the debugging setting. so basically its stuck on the htc screen. i can boot into recovery mode if i hold down the volume down button, but if i hit reboot, it goes back to the htc screen.
when i went into recovery mode, i read one of the lines and it says that there is no recovery image. i tried to run the stock RUU, but my computer will not recognize the device so the RUU wont run. does anyone have any ideas?
any help is appreciated. thanks
have you install HTC sync? if not go to sprint.com/download and then smartphone then pick your phone you should see HTC sync

yeah, i got that. i was able to flash the RUU, but it didnt solve my problem. still gets stuck at the htc screen.
good thing is that i can still get to the recovery screen.
i even tried flashing the sprint 2.1 ruu, but the problem remains. now the htc screen is white with green letters.
EDIT:
a couple of things i noticed. when the recovery mode first starts running, it says something like checking sd card...then its says no image.
also, up at the top left of the screen, third line. it says "touch panel-fail" struck me as odd.
Try this. Not sure if it will work since you flashed the 2.1 RUU, but it's worth a try.
Hi everyone,
Semi-experienced guy here, played around with my old Aria lots but haven't really done much to the new Vivid besides unlocking the bootloader and installing CWM.
I ran the S-OFF program, worked like a charm. Then I flashed wcxrecovery, no problems there. Then I loaded the PH139 update file to prepare for an ICS custom ROM, and that loaded everything OK. I hit reboot, and now the phone will not go past the initial HTC boot screen. No loops, just stays on that screen. Neither ADB nor fastboot will recognize the phone.
So, how do I extricate myself from this situation?

Hi, I am new to the whole flashing rom.
I had my HTC One unlocked, rooted via TWRP, and flashed a HTC One Maximus HD rom. After followed through the installation. It rebooted the phone, and it just stuck in fastboot screen. I tried to go into recovery but it just restart the phone and went back to fastboot screen. Same thing happened when I tried to factory reset. I can't even let my computer recognize my phone when I plug it in. I looked through some forum but nothing seems to help.
Could somebody shine some light for me

I don't mind getting it, but I am just wondering
Hi Team,
My HTC One M7 is stuck in htc One screen. I accidentally pressed power+volume down+volume up buttons. I m not sure what happened. It went to boot loop. It was never booting up. Not even going to recovery mode. Later on some how I rebooted RUU and was able to install ROM in it. Now it is stuck in HTC One screen. It is not at all moving further.
On installing any ROM i m getting installation as success. But when I reboot phone it gets stuck in "htc One" screen.
Any kind of help from any one is much appreciated. Desperately in need of solution.
Thanks in advance!
