Problem with Titanium Backup TWRP restore on 5.1.1 - Xperia Z3 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Yesterday i upgraded from 5.0.2 to 5.1.1. . I installed this version: http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3-...03-lollipop-5-02-odexed-pre-rooted-2-t3090505
But maybe its not a problem with this ROM, because my dirty upgrade vom 5.0.2. to another 5.1.1. ROM has the same result.
I cant restore my apps and i have no idea why I tried to restore several Apps from Titanium Backup with TWRP. The app begins to Restore but stays at 0%. After 5 minutes it finishes "successful" without restoring any App.
Does anybody have the same problems?

[Q] Very wierd problem while restoring nandroid backup : loosing all user data.

Hi Devs.
I am using Cocore kernal and my mobile is rooted. I have cwm 6. I took backup of my stock rom and after that i moved to Cm11. I installed few apps on cm11 after that i took backup of cm11 also. After That I have installed PACROM and i have backup of that rom also.
Now I have Nandroid backup of all three ROMs( STOCK, CM and PAC)
Then i have decided to restore my stock ROM . Everything went well but when it started it start without any user data and start in start up wizard with message goole.process fail and i got stuck in setting wizard.
After that i tried to restore CM and This time CM start as new rom without gapps and user data but works very fine.
Finally I try to restore pac and it comes out with same result as CM.
Now whenever i restore my backup it restore only rom but no user data or apps.
After that i tried many solution.
I have found one problem in recovery that failed to mount preload
I have fixed the permission but unable to mount preload .
I found one wierd solution to restore stock with data. : First i restore it in CWM after that i reboot my device in download mode and i flash stock JB via odin on my device and suddenly my stock rom start working with all user data
But this solution works with only stock backup and i don't want to restore stock every time via odin.
So please help me to solve this problem.

When you want to go back from CM 11 and 10.2 to previous version of Android you must either to format Prelaod parition, or flash stock JB. On those two versions developers are using that partition as SWAP, so it is has differend format and can't be used for files that should be there on previous versions.
Solution 1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612540
Solution 2: What you did, flash stock JB from Odin.

[Q] Radio issues after restoring NANDroid backup

Hey there,
So I decided to update to the 5.1 soak. After a lot of attempts it worked, except either installing TWRP recovery or flashing the 5.0 boot image (yeah, I know...) messed something up because every time it booted up it optimised 37 apps and then rebooted, endlessly. Since the whole thing was such a hassle I decided to go back to 5.0. Flashing stock system+recovery+boot for that OS version didn't boot, so I went back to 4.4.4 and then applied the OTA.
And now for the issue. Before updating to 5.1 I decided to do a NANDroid backup of my 5.0 state using TWRP, and when I was on stock 5.0 I did a separate one in case anything happened. So, naturally, when I went back to 5.0 I restored my previous NANDroid. Everything worked well until I rebooted it, which made me have reception but I had no mobile data (exclamation mark) nor could send or receive calls or texts. I've reflashed the stock 5.0 NANDroid and reflashed my backup several times, but I still have that issue as soon as I reboot.
What could be causing it?
Thank you.
edit: apparently TWRP changes the filesystem from F2FS to EXT4 for some reason, if it doesn't have to do with my issue I'd still rather have the superior filesystem... wouldn't have trusted TWRP if I knew this from the beginning

Nandroid w/TWRP rolling back to 4.4.4 from 5 causes bootloop

Before trying the new official (but rooted) 5.0, I did a complete nandroid backup of my existing 4.4.4. I don't recall what version of TWRP was used for that backup, but it was fairly current.
I used Odin to flash the new 5.0, and 2.8.6.0 of TWRP.
I've had real issues (i.e. no xposed framework, crashing Pandora, etc) that make me want to step back from 5.0.
Last night, I went to TWRP, did a full Nandroid backup of 5.0 (selecting all possible options, just as I had when I backed up 4.4.4), and let'er rip.
After the backup, I did a restore of the 4.4.4. However, that put me into a constant boot loop on the very first graphic (Samsung Note 4). I tried restoring to factory, wiping everything, fixing permissions, etc. But nothing would get me beyond the boot loop.
Fortunately, I was able to restore the 5.0 backup I had just made, but now I'm stuck.
Is there anything else I can try to get my original 4.4.4 Nandroid to restore? Perhaps trying an older version of TWRP? Ultimately, I'm disappointed enough in 5.0, that I would Odin flash a stock 4.4.4 and rebuild using my Titanium Backup backups. I was just hoping there's a good workaround to the boot loop issue before I waste a day doing that.
When I downgraded from lollipop, I had to Odin stock nk4 before restoring my nandroid from TWRP. I tried to restore directly but it didn't work for me. Restore works flawless after Odin back to stock nk4 with TWRP recovery. Hope this helps.

That sounds encouraging. When it didn't work for you directly, what were the symptoms?
No work-around. You'll have to Odin KikKat firmware to revert.
No twrp back up will work going backwards.
Thanks a ton guys. That was it. I flashed stock, rooted with cf, and installed TWRP - all from Odin w/o ever bringing the phone up. Then restored from within TWRP, and first go, it all came back. Heroes... all of you.
Thx.

Another tip. If you're going to restore a backup or flash a custom ROM after Odin stock firmware, you don't need to cf auto root. Just Odin flash twrp and you'll be good to go.
