HI I am very new to all of this so here goes. I recently purchased a S5 and it is currently running Kit Kat 4.4.4 and I was going to root it using the towelroot method and then upgrade to Lollipop using a thread on here as a reference. But I have some concerns
1. I was reading that Lollipop is terrible and filled with bugs and battery drains problems and speed issues
2. I head that there is a lollipop version 5.1 if I installed lollipop 5.0 how to I install the 5.1 update.
3. Also is it really worth the upgrade over Kit Kat
My phone is a G900A and its from AT&T if that helps thanks

I'm quite certain the latest version the G900A has is 5.0.1. To get to it you need to downgrade to 4.4.2(nce) and run towelroot, then you can use flashfire to upgrade to the pre-rooted lollipop, either oc4 or of2. I don't have any issues with lollipop, it's all up to personal prefrence i think.

So after the long wait, what do you think of 5.1.1.?
Is it much better than kitkat, or kitkat is still the best from google?
there is no stable audio mod for 5.1.1. yet, for that reason, I will stick to kitkat
I am on n910t 5.1.1 stock firmware Dok2 bootloader/baseband and i want to go back to kitkat but i know its almost impossible since tmobile locked bootloader after upgrade to lollipop but is it possible to flash any kitkat rom while i am on lollipop because i miss kitkat and its speed and awesome battery life.please help me if its possible to flash kitkat rom on lollipop bootloader/baseband.
In my Z1 default android was v4.2 Jelly Bean and now i would like to use MIUI 7 which needs kitkat 4.4. I would like to know that it is safe to downgrade to kitkat 4.4.4 from Lollipop 5.1.1?
And how i can find correct version of kitkat firmware for my Z1? Although i have "C6902_14.4.A.0.108_Generic IN.ftf" . Is this correct firmware for my Z1 ?
Please suggest..
Is there anyway to downgrade Nougat 7.0 back to Marshmallow 6.0.1?
i also had this question. I've heard odin might work? What's the reason you are trying to downgrade?
Liked Marshmallow and really didn't want to upgrade to Nougat.
