Back into reflashing my old handsets.
Used loads of mods on my original desire.
Titanium backup was the standard for restoring home screen and favourite apps as well as wallpapers and ring tones.
Is that still the case?
Are there other options?
Does the i86 architecture of the RAZR effect anything?
Please and thank you in advance for any time taken to read and reply

Sprite has three restore modes - i cant remember what they all do exactly but it is something like
1. ignore that it is a ROM update
2. Think of it as an update to a newer version of a similar ROM
3. Think of it as a totally different ROM
One of them should work but either way you will have a back up of you texts, email, diary etc. and worst case your can install all your apps/tweaks again.

Anyway my problem is that i upgraded to a new rom over the weekend and had some issues doing a restore. In the end i have my texts/contacts restored and even call history etc which was mainly what i was after. Emails were lost but stored on server anyway.
Question being, my phone thinks its got all the software i used to have installed, ie things like sprite backup which i havent put back on yet. TomTom and various others. They are all in the add and remove list and uninstalling them it says it can and do i want to remove from list, choosing yes, they stay there.
It now seems that i cannot uninstall anything, ie i installed a version of sensor lock which i tried to upgrade today to the latest, the cab installer tried to remove old, it couldn't, neither could I.
Just wondering what went wrong so i can not do the same next time. Also the restore of the emails, it added the accounts to TouchFlow email tab saying x amount of unread emails, but it didnt restore the actual accounts.
Is there a backup and restore guide anywhere?
Thanks in advance
Hi all,
i would like to save my savegams from Bonsai Blast, does anybody know how i do this?
I want to wipe my hero, because i want a "clean" device. I saved my sms and call logs with my backup and bonsai blast also, but i don't know if it backs up the savegame., too.

Assume that it is rooted : Download Titanium Backup, backup Bonsai Blast and it will backup the application + data (savegames) Tried it myself on robo defense and it works just like supposed to.
And btw, TiBackup is -the best- backup app there is! You can even save ur dictionary, homescreen (all widgets in place + background), mms/sms/call-settings, calendar storage and so on
A little late, but :
Thx!
May seem like a noob-ish question, but does anyone know where text messages are stored? I'm just getting a little annoyed at the fact that I lose everything every time I reflash, and would just like to have them all constantly so I can flash to my heart's content without worrying about them disappearing.
Help would be appreciated! Thanks guys.

Oh wow... didn't even think to look there. (Duh...) Just wanted to do it manually, haha. Thanks for the recommendation! Found one that's been confirmed to work on SGS devices.
Yeah, I know nandroid works... I'll see how well this app works!
Thanks again kaik541.
i love sms backup+
copies all my sms to my gmail....easy restore if i need it.
Hello,
Just wondering what the easiest way to preserve your apps and homescreens when switching Roms.
With all of these crazy JB roms coming out I want to try them all out. However, I've spent a lot of time organizing and downloading apps.
I know there's Titanium Update(?), which I have used in the past, but is there anything else?
How do you guys do it?
Thanks.

Mybackup pro works fine for me...
This thread might be useful. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1855596
I use Apps2zip very easy app to use does 1 thing backs up your apps
Yes, yes, I feel stupid, but I figured I had a backup so... Already searched for a few hours for ways to get Titanium Backup to stop hanging on restore, I've tried everything and I've pretty much given up. I have the files Titanium backup created if anyone knows how I can manually install them.
Otherwise it would be awesome if someone could link me to "Calendar Storage 4.4.2-N900AUCUCNC2". I've scoured the Internet already, and I'm fairly certain it's not online. If someone could pull it off your phone and post it for me, it would save me a ton of time. I might just have to live without a calendar if not, going to have revert to stock to retrieve it and I'm not sure I have the patience. Maybe a backup made with ES File Explorer would work? IDK
Thanks!
I just happen to have a spare Note 3 running 4.4.2, i extracted the apks from it, hopefully one of these solves the problem
Thanks! I'd be embarrassed to reveal how long I've spent today trying to fix this problem, you're a life saver! Definitely not going to put much faith in Titanium Backup again, although it seems to work great for a lot of people.
Hopefully if anyone else has the same problem, they'll stumble upon this thread.
