Battery life not so great - LG Watch Urbane

I don't know how people are getting more than one day of battery life. I am barely making it until 9PM at night before I run out and that is with ambient mode turned off. Are you guys leaving WiFi on or off? Any other suggestions for better battery?

Ambient always on, Brightness on max level 6, gestures on, and it always lasts about 30 hours. I'm even using a particularly wasteful watch face that has full color ambient. Something is not right at all with your watch. Try to reset it at the end of the night and leave it syncing overnight with the phone.

What about Wifi?

WiFi is on automatic. I'm not too sure what that means.
As of right now my watch has 71% left after 9 hours off the charger and on my wrist. This is my full color ambient mode, and it's always on.

no good for me. maybe your juice plotter is drinking up your juice. try uninstalling it and see if there is a significant difference or try getting into setting in application and then manage application then select running application see if there is some rogue app there running that you don't use and force stop them just beware to force stop running system apps then charge your battery at full and see how much it drain. you may clear up your dalvik cache and battery stats first if you have that option.
That battery life is horrible. I regularly get > 24 hours with medium usage. There are many threads around here on improving battery life.
Yes. Absolutely terrible. Do you remember what you were doing about 7:45, when it started to tank? The temperature seems a little high to me, too.

Wow, pretty strange! How did you do that? x)
otherwise, my battery lasted 12 hours today, with a light usage.... :/
Wasnt doing much special, screen brightness would have been max, and 3g being used.

just a hint : most battery consumption can be checked in the battery stats, on the activity graph : awake vs screen on - if awake and screen on are not synced in the activity graph (should have same lines) then you have a problem. meaning when your phone has its screen off it should go into deep sleep mode (lower cpu frequency) but if you the phone is awake while screen is off, you have an application installed that won't let your phone sleep and just keeps using the cpu and sucking the battery.
this is mostly applied to standby battery life, if you are playing a game/watching a movie, doesn't really matter screen is on, cpu/gpu is sucking the battery.
my worst battery life while i had the O2X was about 16h, but that's with normal phone use (no games - you can have a psp for that, no music - you can have an ipod for that), mostly emails, browsing, IMs, calls/texts all day long also best battery life was 2d 10h (mostly on standby)

Battery issues

Hello! Yesterday i downloaded Gsam APP to see my battery life and how long it lasts. My results were really bad. The consumption was around 7-8% hour, and I use the phone way more than yesterday..
Those are the screenshots of gsam:

Is there any solution? I really need this battery to last way more than this.
My moto x is not rooted, should I root it? My version is 4.4.3.
Cheers
First, I noticed the moto x drains real good when on calls, more than my N5. So you need to keep in mind according to gsam, 25 percent of your battery drain was the phone calls. That's huge!
Also, you have almost 3 hours of held awake time....and I'm pretty sure if you click the drop down in gsam app screen, you can't check the held awake time or times waking device, cause you're not rooted.
And, you have Bluetooth on the entire time, and location services and Google now I'm betting? Those will take a chuck of battery life also.
Lastly, 22 percent of your drain was screen. Auto brightness? Were you in bright areas a lot? When the screen is bright, it will drain fast too.
So, all that said....I'd say your battery times are about right. Getting better times will take some tweaking and sacrifice of conveniences.....and getting used to toggling features on and off....instead of always on.
Check out post number 2 in this thread....its our battery life help thread now in the N5 section. But pretty much all the info in post number 2 applies to about any device.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2785128
Of course, you're going to be limited by not being rooted....so some things you can't do....but most you can. Or at least you can read up about it.
Good luck!

Battery life

I noticed recently that my idle time battery has been suffering a bit. After charging to 100%, the battery dropped to 67% after leaving it idle overnight.
Here are some captures from BetterBatteryStats. Seems like it is awake 1/3 of the time. Is this normal or do I have some wakelocks eating the battery?

That it's because you left your wifi turned on, also you can see your battery controller i don't remember wich app it is but that thing is eating your battery and causing wakelocks all the time. Try disable those before you get to sleep.
Okay, the OS battery stats say that Android OS is eating the majority of the battery.
Should I just disable background sync when I leave it on overnight? If I turn off Wi-Fi, it enables LTE which would consume a lot more battery.
You should probably consider using the -existing- battery life thread, rather than having created a new thread. The people in that thread are more likely to help you and have useful suggestions for you.

GPS eats the battery up on this phone a lot because of the Google services. Go into setting,, then location and change mode to device only. You will see a huge difference in battery drain.

Question What is this?

"Until 11:30 PM"
I have no alarm at 11:30 and this prevents my battery percentage from showing. What is this and what setting will turn it off?
It's the estimated remaining battery until empty. Don't know how to disable it yet...

Thanks! This is really annoying hopefully there will be an option soon to disable it!
There is a toggle "Battery percentage" in the battery settings screen. Then, it shows percentage and switches to the time remaining when you pull down the quick-settings menu.
My annoyance is that they only show "past 24 hours" now in the battery usage stats. I like to see the longer term picture, because I might charge the phone once a week or so. It no longer tells me when I last charged nor the discharge slope where I can see whether I am using it more or less in the last couple days...

I know adding an app to do this might be annoying, but I have AccuBattery and love this app. Not plugging it, I just like it for this reason. Gives battery health and other stats. Has a free and pro version, I remember paying I think 3 dollars for the pro. Worth it to me.
