Changing ROM on phone without factory restore watch? - LG Watch Urbane

I was just curious to know if there was a way to not have to factory restore the Urbane when changing your phone to a different ROM?

Rooted VZW LG G2 Hard Resetting Question

I have rooted Verizon G2 running with custom recovery. The other way, I accidentally updated it through OTA and it kept going into recovery loop.
I fixed that issue with help from this forum and reverted back to stock (4.4.2) using KDZ method. However, the OTA notification keep coming back up.
My question here is if I hard reset my phone, would it go back to the original factory setting? I just want to reset the whole thing and go back to the original factory setting and then update it through OTA. What is the best way to do this?
Thanks for your help in advance!

Thanks for your advice. So I guess, I can't just hard reset the rooted phone and go back to the original factory setting?

No... a "hard reset" will wipe out data, cache, and dalvik, root is stored in /system which is not touched in FDR.

(SOLVED)No mobile data when flashing ANY ROM (data only works with the ROM I'm on)

T-Mobile
Decrypted
Rooted
Latest boot loader and firmware
Latest TWRP
I cannot for the love of me acquire data even though status bar says T-Mobile after flashing any AOSP or stock based ROM. Tried with clean flash or dirty flash.
All apns are present and I properly select fast.t mobile. Phone shows as registered with network.
Data only works on Pure Shamu 3.5. After I nandroid back to Pure Shamu data activates right away.
Any ideas or has anyone seen this??

Nah I got rid of that. It looks like I'm gonna have to fastboot flash the factory image.
It just baffles me that my current ROM has no issues whatsoever and connects right away after a restore
data settings..

Try pulling out the Sim card And reinserting if the apn weren't there, where did you get set up info? Do you have screen shot

SIM card pull doesn't work with or without reboot. I checked the APN s and they're fine. (There's 3 for T-Mobile + the one for metro PCs)
Have you tried a flash of the radio?

I did not, but a clean wipe does not touch the radio. The radio is there,; it's just not connecting to it ( I checked baseband)
OP, the same thing has happened to me (and I'm on Verizon). I'm on Euphoria and flashing any other ROM makes me lose data, same thing.

True a clean flash doesn't, but in some of the other ROM threads, some say that helped.

I will definitely try that next time to avoid doing the factory image.

I went to sleep, lol.
Edit: Just tried flashing latest radio; no luck. I guess the next step is doing a full flash back to stock on the phone...bummer.
Annnnnddd flashing stock gets data on stock but not on the ROMs. Hm. It seems only stock based ROMs work
bump...anyone else experiencing this or know what's going on? I'm stuck on stock now.
I wonder if the latest TWRP has something to do with it, cause i had no issues until last week

1. What ROM were you running before you went back to stock?
2. How, exactly, step by step, did you flash back to stock?
3. Did you do a factory reset after flashing back to stock?
4. If not, did you do any sort of wipe after flashing back to stock?

I'm not familiar with that method, but if you didn't wipe data (factory reset) afterwards, that's probably what messed things up. It's always recommended to wipe your data after going between roms, especially roms as different as CM and the stock rom. Backup your data and try a factory reset.

You did a factory reset that quickly? Hmm. Well if you want to flash stock as cleanly as possible, and really start from scratch, follow section 0 of this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/general/guide-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-t3292684. If that doesn't fix your phone, I don't have any other ideas.

Hi bro no luck still the same
In fastboot use command "fastboot oem config fsg-id verizon_gsm" or "fastboot oem config fsg-id verizon" for CDMA, after that your stock ROM will see baseband and you must to uninstall motorola sensor services, after that bootloader will see baseband version too.

unroot and go back to stock

Hi All,
If I already rooted, but using an official Samsung rom, what is the best way to reset to factory defaults? I am afraid that if I do it from within the menu to factory reset, I might break things. Is there anything special I have to do? I don't mind if I will lose root. Thanks!

You can also google/download the SamFirm tool or use the updato.com website to get the latest firmware for your device...both are free and they are also faster than sammobile.

Relocking bootloader - will phone be wiped?

Hello dear friends.
I'd love to go back to to stock. I unrooted my phone and flashed the stock recovery.
Now I'd love to relock the bootloader. Will that procedure wipe the content on my phone? If so, is there any way to avoid the wipe?
Thanks.

Backup Your P20pro, using HiSuite on a PC then restore after relocking bootloader - won’t be 100% perfect but almost all apps data and settings will be recovered

Never used anything for backup outside of TitaniumBackup, but will give this rootless solution a try, thanks.
I have so many things set up, it would take weeks to get everything back in place.
