[Q] Is there a way to set behaviour of Power button?

Hi all,
I have got a Tytn II running on AthineOS Lite Rom,
I just wonder if it is possible to set the behaviour of the power button.
As original shipped rom, pressing power button turns into standby mode, which music players continue to work.
However,when I use this rom, whenever I try to turn the screen off + locking the keys by pressing the power button, music player just stops working.
Same to Resco Audio Recorder... When i press the power button to turn my screen off, recording would stop too
I tried Backlight Off programmes, however keys wont lock at the same time.
and I wonder if there is a way, like Reg modification to change how power button works.

try using AE Button Plus to replace the function button on the device

I am trying the little tool
however, I just manage to map a key to switch screen turning backlights off,
or lock device,
but I cant figure out how can I turn off the screen at the same time hardware keys are locked (just as how power button acts except keeping programs running while screen off)

Power button stopped working..any ROM/app to use volume button as alternative?

Power button stopped working on my captivate..any ROM/app to use volume button as alternative to power on? Only way right now is plugging up the charger right now

CM 7 has an option for waking up the phone with volume up/down, But u cannot switch on the phone using the volume rockers.

Same thing happened to me awhile ago.
I used Rom manager to flash cm7 and it has an option to wake the phone with volume buttons and there is an app called lock screen tools and I have it set to my search button to turn the screen off. And it works pretty nicely

Is there anyone flash the rom in forum with volume wakeup MOD work well for ONE? The MOD is try to use volume key as power button to wakeup screen.
The mod not work fully in ONE X if phone is under deep sleep so I want to know is it same case for ONE?

I flashed this mod last sunday with arhd and it only works a few seconds after fall to sleep.

[Q] My XL broken power button

I have broken power button,when i plug my phone to pc ,led turn red and pc finds my phone normal.But there is no hard drive.How to turn it on?

If you don't want to pay money to fix your power button, you can flash a custom rom with the volume2wakeup mod like the Cyanogenmod 10.1
(you can find it in the developer section) to use your volume keys to wake up your phone.

Wake Up with Volume Rocker

Hi ,
i have apply the xposed framework and modaco toolkit , but the wake up with volume rocker only work when i sleep my screen with the power button , if it is sleeping by itself i cant wake the phone by using the volume rocker. Any advice pls ?

volume to wake doesn't always work, especially when the device goes into deep sleep

Custom kernels have swipe to wake functions ...

ElementalX kernel has the option to double tap bottom inch of screen to wake the device which I use more than the volume wake...
