Hi, I just flashed BlissPop 4.0.1 on Moto G 2014 (XT1068). It was a clean install and the ROM flashed fine. But the GApps showed error while flashing and now my phone is stuck in the "Checking Connection" step of installation. Is there any connection between the two problems? I am using the ROM provided in the post below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/rom-blisspop-v3-0-t3079125
I used the Banks GApps and the error that shows up is:
E: Error executing updater binary in zip '/sdcard1/BaNkS-Dynamic-GApps-5.x.x-9-22-15.zip
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance
Try this gapps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/tk-gapps-t3116347 and be sure to choose the right android version. If the setup is stuck at "Checking connection" then take out the sim card(s) then reboot and don't select wifi and just skip all steps.

Hi,
when I try to install the unofficial CM cwm recovery quits with status 7 and says something about installing on top of invalid data.
The official OTA Update to KitKat failed too. This was why I unlocked the bootloader and installed cwm . Any suggestions?
I already tried to remove the device checks from the update script in the cm rom like suggested many times to solve status 7, didn't work for me.
EDIT: Updatet CWM to v6.0.5.1, still not working
EDIT2: After trying the OTA Update again with CWM 6.05.1 the device is in a bootloop now.
CWM says that the signature verification failed and asks to install anyway. If I do it files with status 7 and reboots, reboots again. and tries to install again. If i don't it reboots, reboots again...
Have you done the wipe/factory reset directly before flashing the cm11 rom?
check hazous initial post for cm11 rom
Well, I did a factory reset, but I did't it not immediately before rom installation.
Anyway, it worked now. Thanks for the rtfm pointsatme...
I have the tmobile note4 flashed Dirty Unicorns 5.1.1. I followed their instruction
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/orig-development/rom-dirty-unicorns-5-1-1-trltetmo-n910t-t3139804
but i tried to flash kernel first from the post, and it failed with MD5 not found. ROM and GAPPS installed fine then reboot and got error :crying::crying:
Code:
Kernel is not seandroid enforcing
set warranty bit: kernel
System boot up but doesn't see sim-card, wi-fi works. Any idea or help. Thank you. :
I get the same after installing CMRemix. I have a sm-n910w8 and I figured it was related to that. First few boots with the new rom and I was getting a message about play services stopping but that's gone now and everything seems to be working fine. Only issue i've noted is that it takes about 20 seconds after boot up for the my carrier signal to start but that's not even a real nuisance.
SE is Security Enforcing. Its not a big deal.
As far as everything else, no idea.
Check your recovery settings for the mandatory m5 verification option and verify it yourself manually and then uncheck and try reflashing it. You could also try redownloading the install file and reflashing as well. seandroid is not enforcing shows up all the time when flashing custom stuff, no worries there.
Hello
I've installed a couple of ROMs via TWRP. Some work, some don't.
But now, even when I try to install ROMs I had already installed previously, the installation fails.
I get a message "Update process ended with signal 7
Error installing file"
What to do ?
I guess this happens if you not wipe data and reboot before installing. But only if TWRP version installed on your phone and the TWRP version from the phone that made the backup are different.
You van use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522762
It helped me.
I recently updated from cm13 to cm14.1..... I didnt flash the cm14.1 rom.. I just updated it from settings>about phone>system update.
Every thing works fine except the gapps.
I cant flash android 7.1 gapp.. Neither pico orr nano or micro non..
It shows error
Cannot find META-INF/com/android/mediadata.
Error code 70.
Installation error in sideload/package.zip
Status 70.
Need help plzz..
Backup and do a clean installation of 14.1
I wanted to install Aroma because I want the choice of installing whichever app specifically and mainly so that I can replace stock AOSP apps with Google ones. I tried to do that on top of clean flash RR 8.6.2 which does not comes with any pre-built GApps.
But upon installation on OrangeFox it freezes for 2-3 seconds and gives error 255. This is ARM64 Android 10 Aroma so guess I chose the right version but still the error. I can install others like pico, nano, mini and stock just fine but not aroma.
I even tried previous months versions but no luck. Tried installing ROM, set it up and Aroma separately with going to recovery again but still the same error. I am able to flash ANX camera, custom kernel & Fdecrypt just fine but not this one...
If anybody could help what is the issue.
I too am having this issue with the moto edge (racer). Had issues rooting. TWRP went in, flashed lineage 17.1, rebooted, TWRP gone, LineageOS recovery in its place, attached to USB, flashed TWRP ... AGAIN, rebooted, did a root check, root check said "no bueno". Thought that had something to do with it. Finally got a good copy of SuperSU flashed with "success" confimation. NO ERRORS! rebooted. Let everything run its course, for about 10 minutes (way longer than necessary) then tried to flash OpenGapps 10 Aroma and it fails. tried w/ and w/o signature verification, ARM and ARM64. All of it fails! no matter what version, w/sig ver. I get Error 255. w/o it, I ironically get "Zip Signatured Verification Failed!"
Please, somebody heeeeeellllllp

UPDATE: For some reason Aroma wasn't giving me error logs but, after trying "full", I noticed the error message was that my device is ARM64. Then, after trying 9.0 and 10 ARM64, (both full versions, not aroma) I found in the logs that there was insufficient space to install. The log for some reason, claims the full version needs 1.7 TB?! So I grabbed a copy of OpenGApps 10 ARM64 pico and that worked. I got basic play store function, that's all I really needed. . . Do not ask why I didn't think of that sooner. Hope this helps poster or anyone else. \m/
