Rooted my note 5 using Odin and have since been having random reboots. If I'm in a call it will reboot after 30 seconds of the call on top of random reboots that just happen.

Rule #1 on XDA: Search. This issue has been discussed in multiple threads in multiple sections. You rooted with a kernel. You downloaded the kernel from a thread. Did you read that thread before posting?

Have you guys patched the fix permissions script on these froyo roms? If so, how? I own a vibrant and am wondering where the issue lies. I've asked a few times in different threads as posts and topics and it seems to be of an unspoken topic or something because no one replies in the vibrant forums about it.

We always ran fix permissions for G1/MT3G. I've not actually read about it on captivate forums :S
Hello XDA. I have the ICS kernel LPF installed along with midnote rom. I heard that wiping and installing a new rom on this kernel bricks your device. Is there some reason why it didn't do it on my device? Would my device somehow help plug up the bug in the kernel?
Thread being closed in 3, 2, 1...
I have no idea how people are STILL posting random threads like this in "Development". If you did not DEVELOP it, then it doesn't belong in DEVELOPMENT :banghead:

wow... I think this is major breakthrough... maybe you have a super hardware.. you should consider donating your Note to Chainfire or somebody that could analyze your Note.
I have wipe so many times that the brick that I collected can be made into a house!
Moved To Q&A
The development section is not for asking questions. I suggest a small search, you will find your answer.
Brick may occur at any time. For some it happens at the very first wipe(very unlucky),for others at 10th or even at 100th time.So becareful
Hi Guys,
Just joined here but been on this site a number of times for my old phone for how to's!
I hope someone can help.
My brand new Xperia T keeps crashing mid phone call if the call is longer than a few minutes. I repaired the handset to no avail and got a second one. Same thing happens and I drop a business call!!!
On the Sony Forum it seems others are having this issue and it seems to be due to a bug with the wifi and the screen locking: www . talk.sonymobile.com/thread/55404?tstart=0
However nobody seems to have a solution. I was wondering if you guys are experiencing this ?
I am not happy with it and it seems stuck with it!
Wow. That is an extremely weird issue which no one so far has reported. You could try and flash the updated Sony release. Its in another forum section I think.

As it's your first post this is just a gentle reminder to please post questions in the correct Q&A forum. I've moved your thread as you will have been informed but please post appropriately in future.
Thanks
AvRS
Sorry I did realise my misake after posting.
Anyway I installed Cyanogenmod on my old desire by unlocking the bootloader > installing Clockworkmod > installing the new rom
Am I right in reading elsewhere that you also have to flash the kernel and download superuser??? Was complicated enough..

Its in the 3rd post of the first thread in the Q&A section.
Its the All in one thread, where everything you ever need is there!
Hey all,
I am in the N900A NC2 4.4.2 boat and I want out!
Do we really need root to install a different ROM?
Can't we push somehow e.g. CM on the phone using Odin, or something?
I just want to make my Note 3 livable till Nexus 6 comes out
~S
I sometimes wonder why the search function even exists...
Yes you need root access to install custom roms via safestrap.
You need an unlocked bootloader to install a custom recovery and flash roms.
The latest 4.4.2 release ending with NC2 has a locked bootloader and does not have root access. Currently there is no way to obtain it.
Please follow forum rules and search before posting a question that has probably been answered. Try reading the general section and the sticked posts. One's like "[INDEX] AT&T Samsung Galaxy Note 3 All-In-One Resource Thread!" might be able to help with unanswered questions. If you still can't find your answers and it's support related, please post a question in the stupid question threads. They are in most sections. This is a development site, not a support site.

There was a thread about the roll out but it got locked for some reason.
Where should we discuss now no thread for discussion..
Here :good::laugh:
in be4 lock lol
and i went back to stock to see if the update came thru and still nope
Hey guys, if you get it, you MUST share it ok?
"Alright guys... we've been watching this thread for quite some time now, and what happens in here is completely unacceptable.
We've been discussing the matter in our mod team, and decided to close this thread for some time.
There were/are posts in this thread breaking several forum rules, which is completely unacceptable. We are a forum for all ages, which means you should watch your language at least a bit. We were allowing this thread simply because it was obvious we'd need one, even though it was kinda a grey area. We in the Sony/Moto/LG section do not allow OT threads, which this one kinda is. All posts in here are either completely off topic, or simply just complaining. But guess what.... this doesn't bring the update any faster either.
And if you happen to have the genious idea of opening up a new thread, please don't do it, or else we have to take further action against you..."
This is what a moderator posted in the original thread. I am sorry. Like really sorry but you guys are literally retarted if you open new threads

Why would you go back to stock just for OTA? That is a waste of time flashing stock rom for ota when you can just download lollipop rom from factory image page (when there is one) and flash it there
So it begins?
