Why my tab s2 9.7 WiFi doesn't have features like auto restart and vibrate?
I'm on stock 5.0.2 and no update available.
Tried to install vibrate app but doesn't work.

With no vibration mechanism it will never vibrate
But there's a tutorial I found on how to turn off and on the vibration.

Buy the 4G version, you get all those you have mentioned.
The latest android version (5.1.1) has auto restart, although I don't see a need for it. I don't know why you have no update available, are you rooted or something? As far as I know the wifi version does not have a vibrator.
I'm in Dubai, UAE right now and bought it here last Oct 10. And there's no update yet. I'm not rooted, not bootloader unlock.

I have an exchange activesync mailaccount set up. Its supposed to push my mail. And so it did - until I installed the new maintainence update.
Now my new mail doesnt show up in the widget nor the mail app, before I go into my mailbox and start scrolling or otherwise refresh the view.
Very annoying :-(

I had this problem in 3.1 stock version, after 3.2 (flash+clean) works perfect.
Sent from my GT-P7300 using Tapatalk
How did you do the cleaning part?
Sent from my Samsung GT 8.9. using Tapatalk
If you install clockwork mode recovery, when you boot in cwm there is a option to wipe and clean cache.

What Router you are using?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
I don't think that it has anything to do with the router. Before the upgrade the phone stayed connected, but now it disconnects during standby.
I'm on 4.1.2 OXXAMA2. No problems here about wifi standby. Maybe a bug in another build?
I'm on official 4.1.2 no problems here...

Setting Wi-Fi sleep policy
On the Settings screen, tap Wi-Fi → → Advanced → Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep.
When entering power-saving mode, the device automatically turns off Wi-Fi
connections.
First check this out if it is selected to always ON

That was the first place I checked and it still gets turned off sometimes.
I just saw that there's a new OTA update available (I'm on an official 4.1.2). I'll see if that helps. It's weird that samsung-updates.com doesn't know anything about a new update. The latest one is from January 2013 which I have installed. This must be brand new apparently. Is there another source to read about new updates?

Thanks, but that site doesn't seem to be up to date either. They all list the last update for my country as being from January, but the OTA said it's from Feb 15th.

Thanks dude.
This page shows that there is update for my region, just different CSC. Its XXAMB3.
And i have XXAMA2 (Multi CSC from XDA)
A question. In order to get back to stock, do i need to remove cwm?
I have intentions of rooting it back again after installing official update.

From my experience I've noticed that custom recovery can't handle the updatescript in the official csc.zip package which comes with odin packages.
My suggestion is to go back to stock recovery, flash update with odin, then go back to cwm through rommanager. Otherwise you get csc unknown.
Hi, i'm also from Belgium. Also did the ota to 4.1.2 and i still have azerty keyboard. I can choose between dutch (Belgium) and dutch (Nederland).

sorry for late response! Did get any notification :s..
Official (it's my sisters phone), and I think she did it ota...
Very strange..
Whenever I put the phone in vibrate mode or silent mode, it still lets all sound through. Notifications, ringtones, etc. The phone will show the silent or vibrate notification, but it doesn't have that effect.

You could try to update to either 2.254 (4.1.2) or .266 (4.3) because the current build you have running is a bit outdated

I'd love to, and tried both options tonight, but I couldn't get Flash Tool to root any other firmware, would always hang at "waiting for uevent_helper rw". So I just used my cwm backup and now I'm back to my old system with the same problems....
Any way to help either the Flash Tool problem or the volume problem?
If you want root you need to look futher there are tutorials about rooting

Okay, and I understand that. But as I have searched those extensively and not found a solution to my problem, but I did not post about that as I will figure that out on my own. Can you help the problem described in the OP?? I didn't ask how to root, I asked how to solve a problem about volume...

So I am on version 6.4 with ads removed and root enabled. I remember reading about 6.6 locking the bootloader and everyone not updating their device.
This is where I have been out of the loop. Has the latest update with band 12 been given the green light to update?
Sent from my R1 HD using Tapatalk
I am in the same situation. Everything is working fine on 6.4 debloated except no security updates. I don't want to risk upsetting that apple cart but if there was a way to get the security updates I would love to.

Just flash this in twrp on top of the rom. I was on 6.4 and now i'm on 7 without wiping anything. No problems.

Did what you said and upgraded just fine. VoLTE seems to not work but it seems others are having the same problem as me.
The rom works fine. In about it shows android security update to Oct 5, 2016. It shows as version 6.0 though. Is it 7? I did the update to get security update. Not sure what other differences there are to 6.4. Anyone know?

The difference is just security updates and band 12. This phone will probably never see version 7.0 of Android.

I am new to rooting and flashing custom ROMS. I have an AT&T Galaxy S6 and I want to know what's the cleanest and most stable way I can root this device and install a custom ROM? I have been having issues since I received an over the air update from AT&T, and even when I reboot my phone to factory settings that update still gets pushed through. So my choice now is get a new phone or try a custom ROM and see if that helps.

If you're on a 6.x att rom (likely since you're talking about an update) you are out of luck for root.
