Sprint LS995 flashed to wrong model help - LG G Flex

I had done this before and got back by editing the phones' settings. This time, I have a rom on it that won't allow me enough time to edit the settings back to LS995. What are my options? I can get in bootloader mode, but of course when I attempt to flash the correct rom software, it tells me wrong model.

Flashed a clean D955 rom onto it and it is also unstable. I cant get build.prop to install because phone keeps randow rebooting.

[Q] "Unknown volume for path" - can't get Download screen

I attempted to restore a backup via CWM and now I get the message E: unknown volume for path" in response to any options in CWM. If I try to reboot normally, I just get the SGS splash screen, which just stays there.
I can't get to the Download screen with the three keys, this just gets me back to CWM. So I feel pretty screwed now. I could order a jig but will it even work in these circumstances?
The sequence of events that led to this was that I followed the instructions here to install Jellybean 4.2. All went well, Jellybean was running very smoothly from this rom. The trouble was that I just couldn't get it to find any mobile networks at all, even when I manually entered the APN and VPN etc. My sim is a giffgaff one, which uses the O2 network, and you do have to add the APN to get the 3g to work - but the phone just wasn't seeing any networks at all. I presume this was because this version of the rom just doesn't recognise UK carriers.
So anyway, I then went into CWM to restore my last backup, which was from over a year ago. This all appeared to work but then it got as far as the SGS splash screen, as described above, and stayed there.
What else can I try?
Well, I did manage to get a Download screen in the end, although Odin running on my Win 8 desktop couldn't see the phone. However, I then put Odin on my netbook running Win XP and that can see it.
So I'm now ready to flash a stock rom to the phone. I've tried following PuggeredUK's guide to installing a stock rom, which I've used successfully in the past, but he does say you need a .pit file. I've tried loading a stock 2.3.4 and 2.3.6 value (which was the last stock firmware I had on the phone) roms from Sammobile but can't find any .pit files in any of the stock roms I've downloaded from there.
So are .pit files actually necessary? I tried sending one file to the phone and Odin said "Failed", so I thought I'd better check about the .pit files before further buggering up my phone.
I had this same problem too when I restored my backup. I got it fixed by just going back to the ROM what I had before I tried to restore. (which was CM10).
Do what I just told this guy in post #7
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=38194645
Edit: and you lost your network because you flashed from GB to JB, missing out ICS. Nothing to do with the rom and uk carriers. Next time install ICS first.

[Q] LG Flash tool question

Hi
I currently have an LG L23, but in my effort to upgrade to KK i flashed a D959 rom,
I now want to go back to stock ( the rom can't read my sim, radio menu does not respond)
But i can't, whenever i try and flash the stock i always get a "device model is different" error
So i I'm wondering if i can flash simply by using the d959 dll or editing the build. Prop? Is there any other way? The recovery i installed is gone as well
Guys your help and opinions are requested

"Invalid SIM" after wrong ROM flash ..
I have LG G Flex [LGL23 au edition] which was on 4.2.2
I live in Egypt and it was working fine on my local network
Until from few days I decided to flash a custom ROM to update to 4.4.2
The ROM I flashed was T-Mobile
and since then the phone is always giving me "Invalid SIM"
and every time I try to make a call it says : "to place a call, disable airplane mode" which is already disabled
the phone isn't asking for any Unlock codes ..
I can't restart in recovery mode using TWRP interface to install zip file ROM
But Luckily I still can flash the phone with kdz files using LG flash tool 2014 ..
and I think I can flash TOT files also using LG flash tool 1.8
Can any one provide me a link of international stock ROM (KDZ or TOT) suiting my phone model ??

HELP: Upgraded from stock 4.2.2 to 4.4 and lost network connectivity

Hello All,
Tried searching for a case peculiar as mine, wasnt able to find one so here is the lowdown.
1. Xperia C6603 , originally had 4.2.2 stock ROM which was working fine with my local network. Dont remember the baseband version.
2. Used XperiFirm to download the latest firmware as reported in the list. Dont know what does the suffix RxD (R1D--R8D) means. Anyone please explain. As per the below screenshot downloaded version "C6603_Customized HK_1270-5695_10.5.1.A.0.292_R1D" .
3. Before flashing the downloaded firmware I flashed the dualrecovery from XZDualRecovery. I made a TWRP backup of the 4.2.2 stock ROM on an external SD card, for all partitions including TA,system, boot etc.
4. Used Flashtool to convert the downloaded (step 2) firmware "FILES" format to a flashable FTF file. Flashed the firmware , which went on smoothly.
5. At the first startup I got the following screen , telling me that it is a prototype device/firmware . I went on to see that the network which was working fine with stock ROM 4.2.2 was no longer available.
I tried to go to settings to check and search for networks, which shows available networks, but unable to get itself registered to the SIM providers network. Tried all the settings combinations in menu "*#*#4636*#*#" , nothing makes it work to get the GSM network connectivity back. It is supposedly on the correct setting of LTE/WCDMA/GSM which my current operator supports. Following is the "About" screen for current baseband version.
Tried going in the "Service" menu via "*#*#7378423#*#*" , with the following info, having an unknown modem configuration.
6. Tried reverting back to the old TWRP backup, for which I needed the TWRP recovery loaded on the phone. So ran the XZDualRecovery script again (with the new 4.4 ROM on the phone), however the script hangs around in the end and never reboots the phone with the TWRP recovery. So i am unable to revert and use the stock ROM backups .
7. I dont want to root/unlock the bootloader, however I tried installing TWRP via its "XZrecovery.apk", but it requires busybox (which requires a rooted phone). So i tried the rooting script from [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader], but it also hangs around in the end and never delivers a rooted phone.
8. Tried looking around for assortment of xperia Z baseband files to check and see if flashing it separately can make it work, however to no avail the the condition persists.
Either ways having a prototype version on the phone which transmits all data back to sony is not desirable at all. So need to replace it for sure. Currently I am stuck in the middle without a clue of how to go back and restore the 4.2.2 TWRP backup, or to actually flash a "non-prototype" or retail version of 4.4.x .
Any help/guidance/suggestions to remedy would be appreciated.
Thanks.
=====================UPDATE
Ok followed the instructions at [GUIDE] How to root 10.5.1.A.0.283 / 10.5.1.A.0.292 [Locked Bootloader] , read carefully again to flash the .230 kernel. Flashed the XZDualRecovery and got the TWRP recovery back.
Restored the old 4.2.2 TWRP backup , hoping that everything would go back to normal. However with a successul restore and a reboot, I was amazed to see I still have no network connectivity. The baseband version is "9x15A-ACEFWMAZQ-30110068-44" . Another noticeable thing was that after the restore and first boot, I still got the "prototype device" message again, which was not there when I first booted the device with original stock 4.2.2 ROM before this flashing adventure began.
Any ideas what may have gone bad.
Thanks.
=======================================
Just got to know that my device is a BROWN device, its IMEI number starts from 0044 so it is a prototype. Any ideas is it really good or bad to have one. Also I see that after another restore of the original stock 4.2.2 ROM it is barely getting the signals indoor (1 bar only). The signal reception is very weak and sporadic . Should i keep the device or not and is there any remedy or network signal strength.
Thanks.

Firstly I love the detail you have provided which would save you and me a lot of time to pinpoint the exact problem and work it accordingly.
Firstly, I would suggest that if you have a box or any other receipt that shows your exact device name with its basebands. Where did you buy it from and what is your exact location so we can guess your region. This is the time to show it now. Also which basebands work in your location can also help us out.
The problem you have made it flashed basebands of a different variant which has resulted in loss of network. So to fix it we need, and there are three ways about it.
First, download Sony PC companion and try to repair your phone and see if that helps.
Secondly, download flashtool and ftf for your device (make sure you select the right variant this time. Choosing for wrong device can hard brick your phone. so beware) and flash your phone with it.
If all this fails, you go to Sony flashtool called Emma. Download it and try to flash it with that.
You can google how to use every tool on xda and I am sure you would find a lot of guides for that.
Quote me back in case you expect an answer

Horrible Mistake, Need Help Fixing

Hey guys, so recently I decided to unlock the bootloader of my Moto G (XT1064), and flash a custom ROM.
I unlocked the bootloader, all good. Here's where the problem kicks in.
When I flashed the new ROM, I forgot to create a backup of my Stock. So essentially, I have no way of returning the phone to what it used to be.
Now, I'm on Paranoid Android, and my phone is getting absolutely no service. I try ADB and Fastboot, and both say that no devices are found.
I'm also on Wind Mobile. I tried using some tool I found online to revert me back to stock 4.4.4, and it worked, but I still had no signal.
I noticed something between the two times I had no signal. I hold my power button, and it says airplane mode is on. However, I am still able to connect to wifi.
When I press the Airplane Mode button, the button greys out and I can't click it anymore, and I still dont have signal.
I tried *#*#4636#*#*, and I'm unable to turn on my radio from there. I set it to GSM Auto, and it doesnt stay when I reboot.
Please reply fast, I really need to be able to use my phone. Thanks.
Are you downgrading?
I think that could be the issue

I found a Reddit post that brought back my service. I used the RETCA version as I'm in Canada. It brought my phone service back, but sadly enough I can't upgrade back up to Android 5.0.2. I'm stuck on 4.4.4.

Stock retail canada 5.0.2 lollipop - flash via Easy Installer below its not for TWRP or OTA update methods of updating... this is stock OEM motorola so you will get future OTA updates and (should) be able to flash straight up from 4.4.4 using this Easy Installer for Lollipop (no firmware included) - read instructions inside..

Optimus L90 Unable to Root, Unable to boot into recovery mode

Hi
I have gone through the forums and can't seem to find solution for my problem with my Optimus L90 phone.
I have recently flashed the CM13 on my phone without any errors but below are the issues that I am facing
1. No cellular network signal after inserting SIM card.
2. I read in a different forum that this could happen due to using a wrong version of TWRP, so installed a newer version 2.8.7.0 but things worse.
3. Now I am not able to boot into recovery mode and phone just stays idle with the LG logo screen and few commands appearing like fastboot_iniy() and udc_start().
4. I have tried hard reset and soft reset and both are not successful.
5. I cannot root my phone either. Tried all ways like towelroot, purpledrake, lg root by avicoh etc but in vain
Now my phone, even though has a latest CM version I cannot use it for anything else.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
No SIM is hardly related to TWRP, probably you needed a different bootstack (there is a thread about it).
On CM you don't need anything to root, it's already rooted just not visible to common users, you need to activate Developer Options (it's also explained elsewhere)
Finally, if you cannot reach recovery but still can boot CM13 simply use adb, Flashfy or Hashr to flash another version or TWRP. 2.8.7 is kinda old and not recommended for Marshmallow, you can try 3.0.2 by SlimShady or DarkBlue version from shoxxy's thread.
Thanks for the reply, let me try options you have specified and get back if I am still facing issues

I was able to unblock my phone finally and loaded the stock ROM but the phone is still isn't recognizing cellular network . I am on T-MOBILE. I have tried to insert different SIM, turned off wifi calling but still the phone is not catching any cellular network.
[lfom]: you indicated earlier that a different bootstack might be needed. I am not that knowledgeable about bootstack so can you help me through this or point me to different thread where users might have a similar issue.
Sorry, I meant to say unbrick above

Hi,
I followed the steps mention in the above thread to change the bootstack and was able to complete it without any issues, however the problem still persists and my phone is not recognizing the SIM and does not catch the cellular network.
Previously I used to use this phone with my t-mobile number and after I took a new phone haven't been using it for sometime. I want to sell this phone and was trying to ensure that it works fine and thats when I saw that the phone is not catching any cellular networks.
Please help. Let me know if you need any other details to better diagonize the problem.

You didn't say what model you have, maybe you flashed the wrong bootstack for your model (hardware version)? Be very careful, you can hart brick your device, and if it's a D415 it's very hard to unbrick. I'd suggest that first you make sure what model you have by removing the battery and looking in the label below, it says what model you have. Then, use LG Flash Tool to flash stock ROM (KDZ) to latest KitKat, then flash Lollipop or use OTA to update to latest version. The only requirements are that you make sure what model you have and flash the corresponding version, and the phone is still able to enter download mode.

[lfom]: thank you for responding. My phone model is LG-D415 . Actually my phone was bricked but I was able to get into download mode and then I used the L90 Hardbrick tool to flash stock ROM (KDZ) to latest kitkat like you have specified above. Then with the OTA update I was able update it to latest lollipop. Then I followed this forum below to to change the bootstack to KK 10C version as the issue specified in the below thread was similar to mine.

Image of the label inside my phone attached.
Do you think I should have used the LG flash tool to flash stock ROM. Should I repeat the steps with the LG flash tool ?
Thank you again for helping me on this.
Do you see your IMEI in the about phone page? Does it match the one in the label? Maybe when you bricked you've lost the phone's IMEI, and you can't get it back just flashing ROM...

Yes I checked and it matches. There two fields IMEI which has the number and then there is another field which says IMEI SV and it has a value of 02 in it.
