Yes it's possible. In the fusion file at Headphones (Rx device) you have HPHL/HPHR volume. I'm having the same values for both. HPHL left, HPHR right.
You might have to also change the Voice Headphones (Headset RX - voice calls) settings and also the following EQ 1/2/3 (voice call equlizer for normal, bright, smooth) so incall over headphones will hold the modified values. I'm using a bluetooth adapter for music/calls so I'm mainly guessing here. Give it a try though (try modding the Headphones RX lines).

Don't forget to restart it after each modification. It's a system file that'll be loaded at boot. If you so choose to modify it with a computer make sure you set permissions upon replacing it.

hack to increase speakerphone volume?

Are there any hacks to increase the speakerphone volume?
I was rocking Resco Radio and its plenty loud. But the speakerphone is sadly quiet. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
Mine is quiet too, but the sound is already cracking if I use the speakerphone. It's unfortunate that the quality on the speakerphone is under par.
Does yours crack?

What about hardware modifications? Maybe two speakers. There is room for it.
Cool, let's get some xenon flash in there too while we're at it. Looking forward to when you post pics of that, Paitor hehe
I too want the speaker volume to go up. I dont really bother about the music playback but i want the phone to be loud when it rings when a call comes in. I donot realize the phone is ringing in my pocket and end up missing calls.

[MM] [32.2.A.5.11] [.305] Stereo Soundmod [Volume/Headphones Boost] - Xperia Z5C

Requirements:
1. Root
2. X-plore or any other file manager with root access
Procedure:
1. Extract and replace "mixer_paths.xml" in root/system/etc
2. Change the permissions to rw-r--r--
3. Restart your mobile
Mod Includes:
1. Internal speaker volume boost.
2. Headphones boost.
3. Stereo sound in speaker mode during a voice call.
Note:
I won't be responsible if anything goes wrong.
Please backup your original mixer_paths.xml file before replacing it.
Yeah! This works fine for internal speakers and headphones. I haven't tried speaker mode for voice call yet, but I'm satisfied. Thank you!
I can confirm speaker on call works! I was using the phone on speaker for the first time today and quickly learned I needed this. works amazing. I just need more volume steps now lol
Edit: now that I've tried wired audio I keep getting pauses while on the last two steps of volume. Max speaker volume during calls and videos works. Bluetooth audio word at max as well. wired issue is more of a bug as before the last two steps the volume is plenty loud! Just an FYI.
SUPERB
Loving this mod man, i tested proyect desire three, uterly garbage, the music app FCs...

Boost Output Volume on 6.0

If youre like me and you like listening to your music with good headphones and want to feel that bass rumble in your head, you might have noticed that with the update to 6.0 (In my case to B565) the output volume might have gone down considerably and that now the max volume isnt just enough to make you eargasm. So i researched a lot and found out that the max volume settings are set in some .xml files located in /etc and /system/etc but the thing is that with huawei phones we dont just have to edit a single .xml file to raise our max volume, we have to edit a whole crap ton of them depending on our region, vendor, model etc.... So instead of having to open all those files and edit just the correct string, i found out that AlsaMixer (Available on google play) works just fine with out devices!! I also found out that the max output on 6.0 is stuck at 80% dont know why.
So, to get your 20% of max volume up, all you have to do is open AlsaMixer (or all those other .xml files if you like doing things the hard way ) and edit the lines:
-HISSC_SMT_HSL_GAIN (this is left headphone gain)
-HISSC_SMT_HSR_GAIN (this is right headphone gain)
Their default value will be 12, just go ahead and set that value to 15 which is the max value and enjoy your new volume
NOTE: There are tons of other strings you can edit to increase output of speaker, earpiece, etc...etc... but since I didnt need to increase these I didnt take the time to find out their variables, but if youre interested on increasing the speaker volume just open the .xml files and go to speaker and find the gain variable and change it with Alsa.
Hope I made your day

You might be able to do that with Tasker or a similar app. ALSA is only in charge of the sound.
tested and working good. only thing i noticed is that after i modify the value it wont save for the next time i use the player so i have to edit and apply again.
really thanks for sharing

So looking into AlsaMixer, this is an app for a rooted device. Is there any alternative methods? I just got my phone finally back up and going again after an IMEI loss and am a little scared to do anything further in the system like that.
Also the fact that the description on AlsaMixer doesn't say anything about supporting MM... Has the had any issues for you?

I dont think there are any other *effective* methods out there that dont imply rooting your device or something of that behaviour sorry. And yes it does support it, at least for me even though it says nothing.
Not a worry... I'll just have to build the courage up to rootmy device :/ ah well. Thanks for responding so soon

Exactly, you have to find the string for the speaker. (Be careful though because you could cause damage to the speaker)

You solved what? We already know about dolby atmos, but this is different.
Yes Dolby Atmos gets a little better sound quality than stock. But it doesnt boost output volume in any way or form. For that the only thing that works is editing the ALSA setting but for the speaker I dont know which string you have to edit because as i said im not interested in listening music through my phone speaker, i was just interested in boosting the volume from the headphones which I thought were too low. Anyhow I discourage everyone who wants to boost their speaker higher than stock, as this phones speaker sounds pretty high, even too high sometimes and you could risk damaging the speaker or braking it.

is it even possible to boost without root? i guess not. but app can probably deliver higher sound.
for root users theres usually a xml file in system/etc i can't tell which one it is since i'm first time huawei user but if u got root why not use viper4android it boosts the volume like
I would like to boost the volume only for my headphones. Which xml files should I edit? I am thinking of using a file explorer to edit the values on OP for this.
Thanks in advance.
Use the playback music controls xposed module. Its awesome and you can also change tracks using volume buttons if you like. The autoplay option is in the settings.
I've found out how to boosz permanently, I guess... System/etc/audio/hissc/mixer_paths_ALICE.xml
Open it with a text editor, and change HISSC_SMT_HSL_GAIN + HISSC_SMT_HSR_GAIN from 12 to 15.

It just drives us CRAZY!! and this problem is really SERIOUS! you just can't use your headphone during a voicecall....
I have tried 4+ different headphones for testing already, no luck. The issue still persisted!
THERE is also NO PROBLEM with these headphones and I'm actually not a newbie to android so I know I've already set the VOICE VOLUME to MINIMUM !
If you never start a voice call with headphone before (not including bluetooth headphones), just help me to do a test!
1. plug-in your headphone
2. start a voice call to test whether the volume is extremely loud or not with voice volume set to minimum.

I hope users who is facing exactly same problem like me can reply to these two threads, urging ONEPLUS to speed up the progress!

Yes, same problem, loud call volume on headsets
Yes, noticed it on my very first call. Couldn't reduce the volume enough to be comfortable.
I also noticed that there are far fewer levels of volume available on the phone volume slider compared to for media volumes etc.
I needs a software fix or could someone suggest a volume control app or alternate dialer app?
I will look at the other threads / oneplus forum and comment there too, Cheers, S
I feel its OK and normal. Don't hear it too loud.
Same problem here, using the ear buds bought from OnePlus. Can barely put them in ear for calls. Extremely frustrating considering we can't edit the step sizes in OOS either.
Video call today with Hangouts with my wife and it almost blew my ears!
I instantly pull of the earphones from my ears.
What is even more disturbing is that the volume controls don't change ANYTHING. All reduced to lowest and the volume doesn't change a bit...
What is wrong with OnePlus?

Has anyone tested it?
Brand new OnePlus 5T. Used headphones on a call. nearly blew my ears off. Anyone know of an app to override the settings and make the volume lower?
All the people having this issue, are you using the EQ when listening to music and possibly not disabling that on the voice call?
I've never listed to music on the phone. I have an app for audiobooks but no EQ with it.
Solution for call headphone so loud
Hello,
The only one solution that I have found, is to root the phone with in order to install the Custom Kernel : Boeffla-Kernel
The App of this kernel let you reduce the sound of the headphone output so in communication with headphone you will have a volume as low as you want.
May be that others custom Kernel permits to do that,
Enjoy,

A71 - Bluetooth headphones issue

Guys, I'm having a problem using Bluetooth headphones, when I press the headphone button twice to increase or decrease the volume of the headphone, it ends up changing the volume of the smartphone, is there anything I can do to solve it?

I know in general it's not a problem but it's a problem for me because I need to change the headphone audio, the audio of this headphone is very loud and even on the minimum of the phone it is still very loud and it hurts the ear and it was different in the other smartphone I had where I could change the volume on the smartphone and headphone separately. So I thought I could install some rom or something where I would change this setting which I imagine is unique to OneUI
