Yes. Have not found a fix yet. Persists after system cache reset via fast boot menu.

[Q] Data Network Mode/ Mobile Data not switching on

After upgrading to the LPY. My phone seems to be plagued with the problem of Mobile data not turning ON. It works sometimes and then after a while the 'E' icon in the status bar disappears and the data doesn't turn on no matter what.
I restarted the phone dozens of times. Removed the battery, removed the SIM. I even hit *#9900# and disabled the fast dormancy. No luck whatsover.
Could someone please help me out here??
I had to delete existing APN's and
Settings - More - Mobile Networks - Acces Point Names
press Menu now - choose Reset to default
For me it worked...
BTW do not forget then to select the one that is meant for internet (not wap, mms)
akshay, i had the same problem. just do a factory reset from your phone. be sure to backup your data via kies first if you want to save your data.
Thanks for the quick response. I deleted the APNs restored to default. Still no luck.
I don't want to factory reset cuz its way too much work to install everything again!
I would strongly suggest not doing a factory reset under lpy.
Another option that may help which I have done a few times successfully is to go to manage applications, find the dialer app and delete cache and data. This should reset your data connections and will prompt for the connection you need before reapplying.
Hope it helps.

Service menu reset

Hey all,
Was wondering if there is a way to factory reset the settings under the service menu/ mode? All of them. I believe mine are correct but I'm wondering if they are as I'm experiencing some weird issues related.
Or if a factory reset will indeed restore the factory service menu settings?
Or if I could flash just a modem?
And if not, can someone go into theirs and tell me what the factory setting is in yours?
DRX control - on or off
WB - on or off
LTE 3gpp - rev 9 or 10
Thanks for the help as there isnt an answer anywhere it does seem
A factory reset should do just that,,Clear out the phone to factory specifications..
Ok, I will try that, Thank you

How to remove software update notification from settings?

Please see attached screenshot. I recently downgraded from Pie back to Oreo, and before I had a chance to disable software updates, I was notified that an update is available. While disabling the apps has removed the persistent notification from the status bar, I still see a badge in settings that shows an update available. I'm trying to remove it, but have been unsuccessful. I have tried the following actions:
Wipe cache partition
Clear data from Settings app
Clear data from both Software Update apps
Clear data from badgeprovider app
Lots of googling.
Any help in removing this badge would be appreciated!!
Remove SIM card, reset to factory, restart, don't connect to WiFi, finish setup, disable software update checking, insert SIM card, enable WiFi

Thanks. I'm hoping to find a way that doesn't involve another factory reset.

MI - A2 No mobile data on any custom rom

I can't seem to get mobile data to work on any custom rom. If I revert back to stock rom then mobile data works.
Calling and texting works both custom and stock rom.
I've checked APN settings and they appear to be the same as on stock. I've tried a factory reset after flashing rom, reseating sim card, resetting apn settings, turning on 'always on mobile data' in developer settings, turning on airplane mode then rebotting phone, changed preferred network, checked sim card number for data.
Any ideas as to why mobile data would only work when on stock rom?

[Resolved] Galaxy S10 System Update (OTA) Greyed Out ? (Sprint)...

[Resolved] (By resolved I mean that a factory reset corrected the issue, although it wasn't the desired option!)... [Edited]
Hey everyone.
Problem with Galaxy 10 (Sprint) downloading OTA updates. (Greyed out / disabled).
Stock phone, not rooted.
I have two of these phones, one update is OK but the other is disabled. Not sure what I did or what happened but need help if possible.
Settings, Updates, option to check/download updates, and option to use wifi are both greyed out and disabled... I have tried updating prl, profile, and hard reset... Tried update on/off option in developer options. Nothing. Two days searching with no info I can find on the web.
Any ideas ?
Thanks!
[Resolved - Edited] - Factory reset, Power+Bixby+VolUp boot, clear cache, factory reset.

In settings under general management have you tried "reset network settings" ? Have you tried clearing the cache partition? How about booting in safe mode to see if the options become available.
MrMOOn, no I did not try Odin...
Tel864, yes I tried all that except safe mode. Safe mode was a disaster on my other phone so I stay far away. ... I also chatted with Samsung and Sprint (pointless).
I ended up just factory resetting the phone.
It works now.
Thanks for the suggestions!
