Bootloop after trying to root - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I have N290C
I was trying to root my note 5 using Dr.Ketan instuctions on this Link http://forum.xda-developers.com/note...ote-5-t3205073
After flashing arter97 kernel I was able to boot into Philz recovery . When I tried to reboot the phone it said " root not applied " and there was an option to apply root. So I pressed it and rebooted the phone and now it's in a bootloop. I can still access philz recovery and download mode.
Note: when pressing Vol up + power + home it says recovery is not seandroid enforcing in red and then it enters philz recovery
Any help please ?

Have you installed a custom recovery? Boot into recovery and select "factory reset" then select "whipe dalvik cache". This should get you out of the bootloop.

First of you can boot into recovery by holding the x button (On the physical keyboard) and the power button down at the same time. From here select "factory reset" this should fix your bootloop on reboot. A custom recovery allows you to use adb from recovery, make a complete backup of your device nandroid backup as well as other very useful functions. I would recommend you install Clockworkmod Recovery, to do this download ROM Manager, open ROM Manager and select flash Clockworkmod Recovery, it should say successfully flashed, then hit the reboot recovery button to reboot into recovery, you can also manually entering recovery by holding the x button on the physical keyboard and the power button at the same time. For future reference you should always flash a custom recovery such as TWRP (Team Win Recovery Project) or Clockworkmod Recovery. Let me know if you still have questions .

I was having same problem. Don't know why but u'll have to root the phone first and then install recovery. It will surely work.
First use cmd- fastboot boot recovery.img then u'll be in d recovery. Now flash the root.zip or update.zip for rooting ur phone. Reboot now and again go into fast boot mode. Now flash a recovery. It will be done. And yes don't forget to press thanks.
I'm facing also this issue after flashing kernel and supersu. I'm on Marshmallow 6.0

Android One Rom w/ working recovery + TWRP & ROOT [SP Flash Tool]

I have fixed the bug in some Android One roms that prevented you from booting into recovery.
You can now boot into recovery by holding volume + and power button.
** You can still not unlock bootloader in fastboot, volume buttons is disabled for this function **
Please download X510-A1-FIX-20150824.7z from here and extract.
Make sure you have SP Flash Tool to continue.
-------------------------------------------------
Install Android One Rom
-------------------------------------------------
1. Open SP Flash Tool and click on the Format Tab and then press the Start button.
2. Once complete disconnect your usb cable and re insert it again.
3. Click on Download tab and load the MT6580_Android_scatter.txt scatter file from the extracted archive.
4. Click the Download button.
5. Once complete you can boot as normal or proceed to install TWRP Recovery
-------------------------------------------------
Install TWRP Recovery
-------------------------------------------------
If you would like TWRP recovery installed please replace recovery.img inside the extracted folder with recovery-twrp.img before flashing.
*** Don't forget to rename recovery-twrp.img to recovery.img ***
Once the recovery.img has been replaces with the TWRP Recovery image please follow the above instructions again.
-------------------------------------------------
ROOT
-------------------------------------------------
If you would like to be rooted please boot into TWRP recovery after flashing TWRP Recovery by holding volume + and power button
Once the TWRP recovery open it will ask you if you want if you want to use TWRP as read only.
To root we need read and write access so please proceed to write to system.
Once in TWRP recovery press Reboot and then press Bootloader and then you will be prompted to install root.
Once booted into fastboot please reboot the phone.

I am not sure about OTA yet, maybe for OTA it will overwrite recovery and must do the process again.
Well before the android one rom you could not boot into recovery by holding vol + and power.
Unfortunately during the bootloader unlock process you cannot use the volume button.
