How to flash stock ROM on Moto X 2014? - X 2014 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been looking everywhere on how to flash a stock ROM on my Moto X 2014 but I can't seem to find the right thread.
I want to flash it so I can go back to "Unmodified status" and get the stock recovery. I have the .xml file with the ROM all I need to know is how to do it.
I heard of RSDLite which seems to be the tool to flash ROMs, but I don't know how to go about it....
No, I don't want any flashable zips I want to go completely stock and unmodified.

[Q] Stock Rom for XT1060

I have dug around a bit and I can't seem to find a TWRP flashable stock rom for the VZW XT1060. Now that I'm liberated (BL unlocked), I am hoping to have a quick and easy way to recover when I **** up my phone. Can I use stock roms for other Moto X variants or should I just be patient and wait for someone to come out with this?
Just make a backup before you start playing, and you're all set.
If you **** up your phone, use the SBF files and flash them manually.

There is no version of the Stock rom that is flashable via TWRP or CWM.
SBF file is out but you must flash via RSDLite, or manually flash via mfastboot. The only "flashable" via recovery "option" out there would be the OTA UPDATE which is not a full rom, and it isn't flashable via TWRP or CWM either.
I don't expect anyone to come out with anything flashable via TWRP/CWM for the stock rom.
It is not recommended to flash X Roms for other variants like the XT1058/XT1053/etc on the Verizon X XT1060 due to radio, and other components.
Flash with RSD or OTA?
Hi all, am hoping soomeone my know this as I have not come across a detail answer for it yet...I have DE still on the original 4.2.2 pre camera. Is there a best way to upgrade to kit kat , either 4.4 or 4.4.2 and be able to have the most "options" left (ie: I wont be able to re-root or intstal Phils recovery) for my device . Any insight would be apreciated. Thanks.

If you have a DE, you can unlock the bootloader (without voiding warranty) at any time, and install a custom recovery to root.
As far as upgrade path, it depends on if you are stock, or how close to stock if you have modified it. If stock, just take the OTA's, one at a time, to keep your settings, data, apps.
The OTA Update files have a manifest in them containing a list of files, and check sums for those files, which it needs on your phone. If files it wants to be there are missing from your phone or do not match the check sum in the manifest, the OTA will fail (which is why I say depends on if you are stock). If you've removed or replaced any files, you'll need to put them back. You'll also need stock recovery for any OTA to install.
An "easy" way to update is to download the SBF file for the version you want on your phone from -> http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=0 unzip it. Edit the XML file and, if it exists, remove the line for erase partition userdata. Then flash using RSDLite.
With the unlocked bootloader, you can then flash TWRP, CWM or other custom recovery and install SuperSU to root if needed.

For the Verizon XT1060 there is now -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/rom-stock-vzw-4-4-2-developer-editions-t2693591

Locked on vzw on 1st 422 kernel. Can I rsd the latest 422?

I do not want to take any 4.4 upgrade.
Are there Blur ota's posted somewhere? Can they be flashed from ss or do I need stock recovery?
Thanks.
Search and you'll find the SBF files you're looking for. You should be using RSDLite, not sure how that affects SafeStrap.

[Q] Flashing from custom rom to stock 5.1

Hi, I've been canvassing a few threads trying to work out exactly what's needed to take my xt1058 to 5.1. I'm currently on Cyanhacker 5.0.2 nightly rom built on Mar-3, with TWRP recovery. To get here I had to do the CM11 -> CM12 based rom boot trick if it's important.
If I want to go to the official 5.1 ROM, is this the best path, or will I brick the device somehow? http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/general/how-to-install-5-1-lollipop-moto-x-t3089594
I'm fairly certain trying to go from 5.0.2 back to 4.4.4 will end badly, so this seems safer?
I've also spotted this, but not sure if this is better than the above option? http://translate.google.com.au/tran...ipop-51-stock-moto-x-2013-xt1058/&prev=search
Could someone please let me know which is the best path?
If you are talking about flashing to a custom or 3rd party rom based on 5.1, follow the ROM makers recommendation.
That being said... If you want a STOCK 5.1 rom.... then...
Because you are on a custom or 3rd party rom now, you need to check your bootloader version.. Boot to the Fastboot AP screen (aka bootloader screen) and the 2nd line will have the version.
If you have either 30.BC or 30.BD, your best bet is to sit tight and wait for a Stock Moto SBF of 5.1 to leak for your device/carrier, then flash that.
If you have 30.B7 or lower, find the appropriate Stock SBF for your carrier/model device, and flash it using either mFastboot or RSDLite.
Thanks for clarifying! I was looking to go from custom rom back to stock 5.1 (missing all the Moto features). My bootloader is 30.B4, so it should be okay to flash a carrier FXZ for XT1058 as per the Brazil moto forum link I posted?
I assume this will blast my custom recovery as well, so I'd have to re-apply TWRP and root?
EDIT: Actually this version seems to have TWRP? http://translate.googleusercontent....-root/&usg=ALkJrhgUAWS_u0rYHHVrsBRy4w5DG4VdvA

Moto X XT1052 Return to Stock

Hey guys
I have the Indian version of the Moto X- XT1052.
I want to return it to stock so I can receive the OTA.
I found this image: http://www.filefactory.com/file/3qrd...FC_1FF.xml.zip
I want to know if this will revert all the changes that I have made to whatever it was when I got it.
Will it return boot, system and recovery to stock?
Could anyone give me clear instructions on how I can flash this image?
Do I need root access to flash this?
Does this downgrade the android version?
Thanks

Moto x4 XT1900-1 32GB P4 Stock OS/ROM

(EDIT: Got stock back on it. I had to flash the bootloader.img as well as all the other files in the firmware.)
Hi. Not 100% certain I'm posting this in the correct topic, but I'm pretty sure it is.
I am wondering if anybody has the stock ROM for the Moto x4 (Android One) XT1900-1 32GB P4. I was an idiot and did not back up the stock OS before I installed a custom ROM, and I want to go back to stock now. I did find some stock 'ROMS', but all they had was a bunch of img files (bootloader.img, boot.img) and bin files (gpt.bin, logo.bin). I did install these "ROMS", but they did not include any kind of actual OS from what I saw. I, however, did not install bootloader.img, as I wasn't 100% positive they were for my specific phone, and I didn't want to brick my phone.
Thanks.
