My watch just posted "android wear has stopped working" press ok. Screen goes blank. Can't do anything. Don't know how to reset. Phone is still connected. Holding down the physical button makes it vibrate after a few seconds. Nothing happens
Battery was at 78 or so percent when this started. Now the watch wont vibrate and the phone can't find it.
Which watch urbane do you have, precisely?
This totally sucks! I'm so glad I disabled automatic updates!!

Ok this is new and weird. My watch face just completely froze. Can't do anything. Can't turn it off. Long pressing the face makes it vibrate but frozen face remains.
Have no idea what to do.
** Update: Ok, held the on/off button down for about 30 seconds and watch finally turned off. Whew, that was weird.
I've noticed it's good to reboot this watch every once in a while. Maybe a memory leak but after leaving it on for a long time it starts acting strangely.
Watch Face freeze & black screen

I have the same problem. Vibrating (on/off) but screen is black...
I have the same issue, my watch froze earlier today and while I was able to shut it off, when I hold down the power button for a little while it will vibrate but the screen stays black. I haven't even owned this watch for 24hrs. Any help would be greatful
Hi guys,
This morning when I woke up I jumped update android wear and I've given update (fully charged battery), it has been updated me and after the previous update all applications has shut down and no longer responds.
Neither wrist gestures or touch on the screen, or pressing the button several seconds ...
Not that the screen is left in black, but this off, because I either mobile is connected.
Any remedy?
Regards.
I have the exact same problem. No solution found as of yet.

ihave the same problem
I'm just waiting for me to answer the Amazon seller who I bought it. I have sent a request for reimbursement or replacement.
Have you tried to hold down the button for a good while? The watch should produce a long vibrate (keep the button pressed) and then after that should power off.

Yes, I have held down more than 30 seconds and does nothing...
Same here. After fiddling with things for a bit, I was able to discover that my watch was actually on, and connected to my phone, and I could see the watch's storage and battery, and even grab a screenshot from the wear app, but the display itself is completely dead after the OTA. Working brilliantly one moment (never any problems with this watch), OTA installs, and BAM, display dead. Digitizer even works, I can press and hold on the display and you feel the vibration that you normally would when selecting a new face.
I should point out that I was completely stock. No root, no third party recovery. The only thing that had been done was developer options had been enabled.
I ended up opening a case with LG and sent it off today for service. But clearly something was broken with this OTA to have this happen to multiple people.
I just spoke with LG SAT and tomorrow will come for him.
He also told me that as I have only one month and seems to be a failure of the clock, they will be responsible for repair or will send me a new one.
Anyway, it seems to me a big failure. I had the watch factory complements and after updating, it was fried.
I got my Lg G watch R yesterday, and I used it during the whole day. At night, when I placed it in order to charge it, It appeared, that I could go from version 5.1.1 (LDZ22D) to 5.1.1 (LCA44B) so I left the Watch updating, in the Charging base, when I woke up the watch screen was off and I can turn it on, on the phone it says conected and the watch vibrates but the screen doesnt turn on, I have tried with a reset, pressing the button for 10-15 secs till it vibrates many times and nothin appears on my screen.
Does anyone know how to solve this?
Thank you
Having exactly the same problem since today
I'm having a very similar problem apart from my screen is orange and pixelated. No idea if it is permently broke or what. I am waiting for a reply from LG customer support to see what they say. Once I get it I will update if there is a solution for us
mine goes into periods of not being able to get my watch screen to turn on but still connects to my phone then when the screen finally turns on when it goes into power save mode it artifacts and looks orangish, I have to keep the "always on" on caz if the screen turns off i cant get it back on for hours.
sounds like the same as what yall are getting. I tried factory resetting a few times no luck after factory reset seems like a software problem since it works fine once the screen is on.
I have a strange issue where the wifi will stop working until I restart my phone, this happens everyday seemingly at random.
No other devices in the household have any issues connecting to the wifi and at the time I've lost connection i've tested their internet access and it's working fine.
Is this a known issue?

Mine, this morning for the first time, wouldn't connect - it just sat there with the icon light blue instead of dark blue, like it was still trying. Only mine also started getting worse, when I tried to cancel WiFi, it wouldn't - I tried to open "Settings" and the screen took forever to open, every subsequent screen took even longer to open until finally I had a white screen with an Android Header and Footer but otherwise blank page. I waited about 2 minutes, tried to hit the back arrow - nothing! Finally, I hit the power button and selected "Restart" - now it gets worse! The screen goes black, the phone's LED starts alternating slowly from green to blue and continues this way on my kitchen counter for 10 minutes. Never reboots!!! I finally used the "Vol Up>Bixby>Power Button" combo and it shut off. I hit the power button to turn it back on... absolutely NOTHING - DEAD! Plugged it in - didn't recognize that it was being charged! Crap... what did I do! Stop, think... O.K., one more try "Vol Down>Bixby>Power Button" combo - up comes the "Software Load" screen - I hit "vol down" to cancel and it rebooted - back to normal! No IDEA what the hell that was all about but thought you'd feel better knowing it COULD BE WORSE!!!
Well thanks. I'm glad yours is sorted.
Hello. I've just got an LG G Watch R from my sister and changed the battery cause it refused to turn on. All good, the watch was charging, let it charge till 98% and decided to take it off. Then I started looking into his settings and what can I do with it. From what I remember, from the dropdown menu there was an icon something like a watch with a cross line on it. I've pressed it and showed me a message like "To turn screen on, press power button", or something like that because I didn't see the entire message. My question is, what does that button does and why the watch won't turn on when I press the power button? Thank you.
