Can't uninstall, delete, factory reset or flash phone - Help! - Galaxy S III Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a s3 mini with some weird problems.. It keeps rebooting itself.
After Google, I tried to uninstall apps and delete accounts, after reboot, they're back. Tried to factory reset, also won't work. Won't boot safe or recovery mode. But it does boot download mode.
So I tried kies recovery flash, it downloaded and flashed, but after reboot, all apps accounts and settings were still there!
I really don't know what else to do.. Its like somehow the emmc is locked..
Please help!

[Q] numerous problems with my DS7

Its been happening for about a day now. almost all of my apps arent working, i get that unexpectedly blah blah error on market, google framework, browser, gmail, tweetdeck, music, etc.
Tried restoring it to factory settings via settings>privacy,(...) tried volume up + power, restore, tried NVflash restore, tried flashing another rom and everytime it goes back to my old settings.
the only thing that remotely worked was booting into safemode and trying to uninstall apps, but once again after rebooting it goes back to my old settings.
please help, call me a noob if you will

Have you tried factory reset from the recovery screen? Not within Android, that factory reset should NEVER be used, it will brick your device or lock it in Read Only mode

samsung sm-g800f issue

Hello.
I rooted my samsung sm-g800f phone using odin, first time i forgot to put the phone in the loader menu and the phone got broken.
I got the message: firmware upgrade encountered an issue. please select recovery mode in kies and try again
I found a firmware here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-g800f-samsung-galaxy-s5-mini-4-4-2-t2861093
I installed it, and the phone is working again, but i get the message "has stopped working" On gmail, clock, and other apps.
I thought when i installed this firmware my stuff would be gone, but i got the same background, apps and so on.
The country for this firmware is wrong that might cause this issue, i didn't backup my original firmware.
Do a wipe cache/data and factory reset from the recovery . Save your data first because everything is going to be erased .

Kindle Fire HD 7" Stuck flashing the teamwin screen.

So after trying to install the cyanogenmod nightly, my device started displaying repeated errors about different processes stopping. This would not stop, so I tried to reboot the device. Now the device is attempting to load into the recovery section, but it has just reached the teamwin screen and just keeps going black then flashing back to the screen. Any way I can recover it, or should I finally retire it?
I'm having the same exact issue. Mine started after doing a factory reset from the system settings to try to alleviate some Play Store issues.
I'm just replying in the hope that someone will see this and help us out.
I got the same issue, I tried to factory reset the system and now mine keep flash at the teamwin screen. I cannot connect to the PC neither. Please help.

You probably didn't factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache when you flashed the ROM.

Both of you, you can't factory reset a rooted device from the system settings, this usually wipes out the whole OS because with root the device has access to system partition, when you reset it wipes everything it has permission to remove(with root it has permission to everything).
Factory reset from settings on a nonrooted device doesn't wipe the OS because it doesn't have permission to alter system. That's why it doesn't harm the device and only wipes the data you've put on the phone.
Try flashing TWRP and see if your devices will boot to recovery then. If not, you may have to use fastboot to flash the stock firmware.

Strange... is your tablet at least recognized by a computer?
Make sure you connect it to a USB 2.0 port

My Galaxy S4 active (AT&T) is bricked, tried to restore it

This is my backup phone so I don't care for the data that is on it and just want it working again. It was rooted before and I needed it unrooted in order to download an app that was blocked by root detection. I tried uninstalling the root using Super SU in its settings, when I restarted my phone it just freezes at the AT&T white screen.
I'm still able to go into the boot recovery menu, I tried putting on the I537UCUCOC7 (5.0.1) firmware found here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2629093). I downloaded it, extracted the zip, and renamed the file "update.zip" and put the file on a microSD then in the recovery boot menu I went to install from external and selected the update.zip. It sorta kinda looked like it accepted it but I get a red error message about the sideloader and I'm still stuck at the white screen when it boots.
What else can I do from here?
P.S. I already tried wiping the cache and data/factory restore options and that didnt work.
Is there anything else that can be done?
I restored my phone to 4.4.2. How can I install 5.0.1? When I search for software updates it says theres nothing available even though I know it can go to 5.0.1 cause thats what I had before it bricked.
Please share how did you restore when I only able to boot into recovery and clearing cache and factory reset does not help. Phone just stack on boot loop

GT-N7000 stuck on Samsung boot up after trying to do a factory reset! Help Required

Hi all,
IT has been so long since I have flashed a rom, so I have forget how to troubleshoot. This phone I mainly use for apps and stuff and it definitely is rooted, as I still have the Odin download mode come up when I press home, power and volume down button. I was having slowness and difficulty for a bit, and some apps would tell me, I can't install them as I don't have the right version etc. Anyway, I uninstalled some of the android updates and all I kept getting was annoying pops up and slowness. I then decided to just do a factory reset, hoping it would wipe everything clean and return to stock. It now is stuck on the SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE GT-N7000 screen. I have tried all the tricks to get it to boot and nothing. It is stuck.
How do i bypass this, can it be done using Odin on my Mac? I am lost
Thanks for any help in advanced guys...:good::good::good:
When u are on mac, u have to use heimdall which is MUCH more complicated and nothing for beginners.
Use bootcamp to install windows and then download a firmware (e.g from updato) and boot into download mode.
Use Home+Power+Volume Up to get to the recovery mode.
Get your favourite rom on an SD card, downloaded from the PC.
Assuming that you have Philz or TWRP, flash it and it should work.
And if i dont have Philz or TWRP ?... (T_T)
You done the factory reset form the phone menu or the recovery?
