I just received my Moto X, which immediately updated to Kit Kat as soon as I fired it on. This is the first phone that I've used that has the quick settings toggles that is not based on a custom rom like CyanogenMod. Call me crazy, but I can't figure out how to change the quick settings toggles. I searched on Google, but all that is coming up is how to do it on Jellybean, and that method doesn't work for Kit Kat. Am I missing something?
I do not think it is possible to change the quick settings toggles on the stock ROM. It would be a nice addition though.

There is no way in stock android. You need to root and use xposed (assuming you are on 4.2.2 still) or look into the play store. I dont know if this app works on JB - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.anttek.quicksettings&hl=en
Otherwise you have to use notification bar toggles - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.j4velin.notificationToggle&hl=en

I'm using a Verizon Moto X. After the recent 4.4 Kitkat upgrade, I have decided to reset my phone.
Everything seems to work great, except I noticed that the Lockscreen Widgets have disappeared.
On a typical Nexus device running 4.4, one should be able to re-enable widgets through Settings -> Security -> Enable Widgets.
However, Motorola seems to have disabled this option on the Moto X 4.4, and so I'm not sure how I can renable Lockscreen Widgets right now.
Is this a common bug? Has anyone found workarounds?
Thanks.

Nevermind. Issue resolved. The setting is there if I don't use NFC Unlock. Looks like a Motorola bug. I'm going to report this...
i was wondering this same thing yesterday. thanks for posting.

It still works though, just disable NFC unlocked, enable widgets, and then enable nfc unlock again and you're good to go.
I bought this awesome phone just recently but I cannot for the life remember how to disable this icon in the notification bar. Anyone?
That doesn't appear to be a LG icon. Does not show on online manual for T-mo Flex.
This is a AT&T LG G FLEX.......I've had this similar icon on another phone but i forgot how to disable it.
Thanks so much if anyone else knows? It looks horrible...
There are quite a few xposed modules that will handle this. I personally like running ART so I'm hoping someone comes up with a SystemUI mod like the 2013 Moto X that makes all the icons AOSP.
Do you have a recco for a light xposed app that would do this?
It isn't light but gravitybox has this.
I have gravitybox installed but cant find anywhere to turn off the 4glte symbol when wifi is on? Am i just missing it somewhere?
The module is MotoXposed but I don't know if it works on the 2014.

Unfortunately moto xposed does not work on the new moto x. Anyone else find a "fix"? Thanks

It should be under status bar tweaks > signal cluster

Go to the main settings screen. Under "Wireless and Networks" choose "More."
Now choose "Mobile Networks."
Uncheck "Show mobile network."
AFAIK there isn't one, hopefully someone will create a SystemUI mod like the original Moto X had. I hate that 4g icon so hopefully we can get AOSP.

Thank you! Couldn't stand this after coming over from the Nexus 5.
I just got 5.0.2 ota for my lg l90 in NL.
but i dont have quick settingsin drop down menu like flashlight.
did LG do this on purpose? bcuz a friend has 5.0.2 also on his sony z3 and he has the quicksettings.
any way to get that? my main reason is the built-in flashlight function. i dont want to use an app to turn it on.

I'm telling you if kitkat don't have why border yourself on why lollipop don't have
btw there is many app or module that can enable such for you
I understand what you're asking. I haven't done the upgrade yet, but I think to get to quicksettings you need to do a second swipe down. Try that.
