Hey!
My phone has unlocked bootloader and custom recovery. I've tried to flash different ROMs, more often it stucks on boot animation, sometimes on HTC logo. In some ROMs phone is rebooting itself and in some is staying on boot animation. It was one time when OS loaded, but I've wanted to change it and now I have a brick. ADB sideload checked - same as flashing trough recovery. I can't flash RUU, different informations (like 12 signature verify filed). Is there possibility to change boot animation to information about loading the system? Maybe have you some ideas, what should I do, except seeling it? Can it be hardware issue?

Its a verizon htc one, you must use roms made for the verizon htc one only (m7_wlv). Same for RUU, you can only use verizon ruu.

Thanks for replay.
Is this one good? "HTC-ONE-M7vzw_GPE-5.1_LMY47O.H13-stock_121815". There was one successful start on this.
I've tried also:
candy5-release.v4.0-20151013-OFFICIAL-m7vzw
cm-12.1-20151007-SNAPSHOT-YOG4PAO334-m7
One_M7_7.15.401.1_stock_system_dump
RUU Zip M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.20.401.1_Radio_4A.13.3227.06_10.27.1127.01_release_308001_signed_2_4
I have not idea what is wrong with this phone.
I've installed:
htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_1-29-401-13-zip/
androidfilehost.com/?fid=24052804347768075

Nothing is working. May is it be problem with patritions?
I've noticed that OS version isn't changing after instalations of ROMs in Hboot. Maybe S-OFF can help. Can I do this manually, without rumrunner?

Its a Verizon HTC one, you can't use RUU for the M7_UL
Another thing, your CID and MID doesn't match your variant, that mean your phone already was S-OFF, someone changed the CID and MID and turned it back to S-ON which was a really bad idea. Try to flash an old verizon rom then achieve S-OFF again so you can fix your MID and CID. THen you'll be able to flash Verizon RUU.

With a lot of attempts M7GPE444_RC1 is working. I wanted to S-OFF but even sunshine throws error. I don't want to change firmware once again because it may not start. If you have idea how to S-OFF, I'll try.

Hello everybody!
I've got an HTC One with:
unlocked bootloader
s-off
hboot 1.55
rom ARHD 30
I wanted to get back to stock, so I flashed the Guru Reset 2.24 ROM via recovery, then flashed the stock 2.24 hboot, then lock bootloader and final s-on
Everything is ok but in bootloader I've got a red line which says:
OS-2.24.401.1 (3.57.401.500)
How can I get rid of it?
EDIT: I did it! Just flashed 1.20 firmware zip, then 1.29 one, then 2.24 one, then stock rom!
If you're S-Off, relocking and flashing with RUU is easiest.
You didn't say you flashed an older firmware. Which one do you have now? (fastboot getvar all) don't post your IMEI or Serial.
firmware is stock 2.24.401.1
I cannot flash the ruu because there's no 2.24 ruu
the red line in bootloader says: OS - 1.20.401.1 (2.24.401.1) and I want to get rid of it
i'm still unlocked and s-off
You could have when you were S-Off, I think there's a 1.29.401.x
Maybe unlock with htcdev and use beaups S-Off, then RUU, relock, S-On, update.

Sorry, confusing threads. Download and flash the 1.29 RUU and Robert's your fathers brother.
fastboot oem lock
before RUU

I flashed 2.24 bootloader and 2.24 rom...
anyway if I try to flash ruu (the 1.28.401.7) it always gives me the 171 error (tried on three PCs)
Not being funny mate but you messed it up. The output above proves that.
I'm not gonna Google your error code for you.

what if I flash stock 1.20 bootloader and 1.29.401.13 rom and then make official ota?

dude, I'm not a noob, I know how to fix the 171 error, but still I got that error
I flashed the 1.20.401.1 firmware and now the red line in the bootloader has gone. Now the only thing I need is to run the 1.20.401.1 ruu and relock everything, my phone name in device list in windows is "My HTC" for both adb and fastboot (that driver is the solution to the 171 error)

looks like your concern comes from the conflict between your current firmware and rom
I tried both naked universal adb and htc drivers and still have 170 error when I try to install ruu... what can I do?
Okay guys,
Here is a bit of back ground information. I bought this phone from Europe as I wanted the black edition of the HTC One. My CID is VODAP102.
However, I have used it with numerous international sim cards. (I live in Canada).
About two months ago I, rooted the device (without making a backup, since I was new) and installed Insertcoin. However soon, afterwards my microphone started to give me problems, so I went through the process to unroot the device, so that I may receive the patch from htc to fix the issue or to even have it sent in (Either way I cannot get through to the Germany Office).
So I have a locked bootloader, with S-On. I have ran many RUU.exe to no avail, as well as using fastboot on mac and pc. Whener I try to fast boot i get:
>>>sending 'zip' (21795 KB)... OKAY
>>>writing 'zip'... INFOsignature checking...
>>>FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
I really need help with this!

For your RUU to work, the modelid and cid need to match...
Can you give us the results of
Code:
fastboot getvar all
You should aim for S-OFF, once you've got that it's gonna be way easier.

yes you can use M7_UL firmware, they are the same device, its just the UL comes with LTE and the U doesn't, just means the LTE parts of the firmware wont be installed, it doesn't mean you will change your device into an LTE device, you can use any files for the UL on the U, RUU's, firmeware, custom rom's etc.
Also when flashing firmware as you are s-off you don't need to worry about only going back 1 step, you can flash any you like, just be sure to read the OP special instructions first and also make sure your cid and mid match the firmware, also, if you are flashing a modified firmware, ie no red text, you can never go S-ON, this will lead to an instant brick.
for clarification see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223236
thanks very much for your reply, i'm not going back to s-on so there won't be problem flashing custom fw..
i'll follow vomer guide and install the latest fw, will just back up my data just in case anything happen
I have CM11 installed on my HTC One M7 and I used the installer to put it on. Because I did not do it manually I have no idea how to revert back to sense. I have had a look at some of the guides but they don't mention much to do with my version which is with o2 in the UK. I opened the bootloader and it said that it's S-on and the hboot is 1.56.0000. It also says TAMPERED and UNLOCKED. I need to move it back to stock because some banking apps do not work on a rooted device and I also want to get it sim unlocked.
Can someone point me in the right direction to the appropriate guide or tell me what I need to be searching to figure out what to do.
Thanks,
Tom

RUU is here: http://androidruu.com/getdownload.p...10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe
OK thanks, I'll give it a go and report back.

Guys I need your help
My phone wont start-up because its stuck in a boot-loop.
I can go into bootloader just fine but cant seem to be able to access recovery though I have flashed the correct custom recovery for this phone. When trying to enter recovery mode it hangs first and after a minute or so it restarts itself. also it has a red message at the bottom "This build is for development purposes only... ***"
The phone came with jellybean 4.2.2 and i wanted to upgrade to lollipop because the phone had been infected with a malware

Here, catch - working TWRP
Not all recoveries are working for this phone, even if it is stated otherwise. This one is working and I currently have it.
I hope it will boot with this image, nevertheless let me know the result.
