This is a maintainer thread for the unofficial CM13 made by @temasek, build for the i9300.
Retirement of Temasek
Temasek Device Maintainers - V11 is ready. This is my FINAL build with a development device on hand. I will not guarantee further updates due to no more development device after 20 August 2016.

Big thanks to @trader418 for keeping the sources in sync
Important:
Please read carefully the first three posts. They contain important information and give answers to many questions you may have. It is really annoying for me to see questions in the thread which are covered in the initial posts!
There won't be any "magic" fixes: All problems you encounter on official CM13 for i9300 you will also have here!
Important: I am not a developer. I simply compile the builds for the i9300! The hard job is done by the people mentioned in the credits. If you enjoy this ROM show your appreciation to them.
The i9300 is no longer my main device. So don't be disappointed if one day I'll stop building for this device. But don't worry, at the moment there is no need to build for my main device and I need something to do

FAQ
Q: How do I get root?
A: Enable it in developer options.
Q: But can I use SuperSU instead of the built-in SU?
A: You can, but many suffer from bootloops when they try. Anyway some were succesful to use it, so search for it in the thread.. If you want to use it, make sure that the built-in SU is disabled in developer settings. Afterwards flash SuperSU. By default after a clean flash built-in SU is disabled, so you can also directly flash SuperSU after a clean flash. Note: bug reports seen after flashing SuperSU are not accepted. Built-in SU works as it should.
Q: Which gapps do I need?
A: This ROM is based on CM13/Android 6.0x/Marshmallow. Therefore choose your gapps accordingly. If you want to use the recommended opengapps, choose the ARM 6.0 version. I highly suggest to use either the pico or the nano package. All other gapps can later still be installed via playstore!
Q: Selinux switch in developer options is not working?
A: This option only works with SuperSU. But think about it, if you really want Selinux to be permissive.
Q: Help! I have a problem/issue/bootloop/....?
A: Please follow these steps:
Make sure that the problem is not already mentioned in either this thread or in the CM13 thread.
Make sure that you can reproduce the problem on your device with absolutely no additional modification and after a clean flash. This includes being on stock kernel and ext4 as all partitions' formats, no xposed, no SuperSU, no theme!
Try to replicate the problem on official CM13. If it appears there, please ask there.
If your problem couldn't be solved with above steps, post here, with an exact description of how to reproduce and if possible with logs.
Q: Is xposed working?
A: Yes but make sure to use the latest and the correct version for Marshmallow. Inform yourself in the xposed thread. Everything is clearly explained there which version you need. The version that works for you on official CM13 will also work here.
Q: Viper4Android is not working?
Normally Viper4Android needs Selinux to be permissive to work correctly. In the case of this ROM by using stock kernel this is not needed, and Selinux can stay in enforcing mode. If you want to use other kernels Selinux will probably have to be in permissive mode.
Q: Can I use custom kernels?
A: Yes. Users which use SuperSU sometimes report problems with bootloops after flashing a custom kernel. Therefore I'd suggest to use built-in SU.
Q: I have added files to my /system partition (not /data !!!), but after each ROM update they disappear?
A: Yes during a flash the /system partition is wiped (not /data !!!). In order to backup your files in /system and automatically restore them use addon.d scripts. Here is a thread by temasek which explains how to do it.
Features
Kernel features:
Boeffla sound don't use it. At the moment it mutes the headphone after reboot and I don't know why.
Charge levels
Compiled with Architoolchain GCC 5.2
Ofast optimizations
F2FS --> Note: The initial commits were made by arter97. CM simply merged them.
Warning this is only for advanced users:
For configuration you have to open the 94kernel script in /system/init.d/ and modify the script to your likings. Simply uncomment the lines by deleting the "'#" and insert your preferred values instead of the "xx" (or aa, bb, cc, yy etc.)
By default all options are disabled respectively are set to their default values. Therefore you can simply set again the "'#" before the code and reboot, and the option will be disabled. You can also delete or replace the file. In the case of boeffla sound, if you disable it, all other values won't have any effect (e.g. if you increased the headphone volume)
a simple example can be seen here:
For example if you want to increase the AC charge rate to e.g. 1100mA.
search the line
Code:
#echo xx > /sys/kernel/charge_levels/charge_level_ac
and change it to
Code:
echo 1100 > /sys/kernel/charge_levels/charge_level_ac
by deleting the "#" and replacing "xx" with 1100
The complete code can be seen here
This script will be executed after each reboot. So in order to see the effect you have to reboot or you can also directly execue the script by typing in terminal:
Code:
su
./system/etc/init.d/94kernel
In /system/addon.d a script is included (94-kernel.sh) which preserves your configuration after a dirty flash.
If something goes wrong simply delete the file (e.g. from twrp file manager) and reboot.
F2FS
Warning! For advanced users only! Don't try this if you are not 100% sure what you are doing!
Make a complete backup of your whole device including the internal sdcard and save it e.g. on an external sdcard. I highly suggest to combine these steps with a clean flash.
Download and flash a recovery which is able to format to F2FS. The one I used was the unofficial TWRP 2.8.7.3. (see download area)
Reboot to recovery
Go to "Wipe" then "Advanced Wipe" then select "/Cache" and click on "Repair or Change File System". Choose "Change File System and select "F2FS". Do the same again for /data. By doing this you will loose all your data and your files on the internal sdcard (which is placed in /data). Note you can do the same for /system but if you flash a ROM it will be formatted again to ext4. But /system is read-only anyway so it has not impact.
If you want to do a clean flash you can simply reflash the ROM and boot and restore your apps and the needed files on your internal sdcard.
You can also try to restore a nandroid backup, but I am unsure if it is from an ext4 backup that it could be formatted again to ext4.
Finally you can check your F2FS status by downloading a Terminal app and type in:
Code:
su
mount | grep f2fs
Now you are on F2FS. If you want to return to ext4 simply do the same process again but choose ext4 instead of f2fs

Good day everyone! This is really a great rom indeed! But I have a few questions, Can I flash supersu 2.46, and latest boeffla for this kernel?
I tried flashing ROM>GAPPS>KERNEL>SUPERSU but I get a bootloop. Now I have flashed only ROM>GAPPS and it's working fine. But when I flash either BOEFFLA OR SUPERSU I get bootloop. Am I missing something here? Thanks!!

Some good things from CM11
Now with a version with CM11 CAF Kernel from CM Sources (Rooted and Rooted LTE Enabled) and a version with Stock Kernel from AOSP Sources (Rooted and Rooted LTE Enabled)!!! Both with Fully working ART.
If you are installing it for the first time or changing from AOSP kernel (Stock) version to CM11 Kernel version, wipe System, Cache, Data and Dalvik. If you are comming from CM 11 Release 1.x, just Flash this! Don't wipe ANYTHING!
Informations
Install MY GAPPS for better experience. It's already include ALL Google Apps and Fully Working Google Dialer!
This Rom is for people who have asked me to make a Stock Rom with practical modifications of CM. This sounds like a Stock Rom and runs stable like a Stock version. Dalvik and ART are working. With it you will have the same experience of the Stock Rom but with the good things of CM. The Stock Kernel version comes with Stock Kernel from AOSP Sources and if you need to use Custom Kernel, don't flash CM Kernel on this. Use KOT AOSP Kernels. This is ready for use like a Stock Rom on one flashable file! The CM11 CAF Kernel version comes with CM11 Kernel. If you need to use a custom kernel on this, use CM11 CAF Custom kernels.
All Versions are already ROOTED! DON'T FLASH SUPERSU OR OTHER ROOT METHOD!
If you are installing for the first time, please install FULL RELEASE before installing Delta updates!

How to Install
Thanks to Jared Bush for this Tutorial!
Make sure you have the latest CWM or TWRP recovery
Copy the Rom zip file to Internal Storage
Backup your files and data (if you like, backup Data, System and Boot with Recovery)
f you are updating it from my CM11 Release 1.0, just flash it, don't wipe ANYTHING. If this is your first time on it or you changing between Release with another Kernel Version and want a clean install to get no erros (but it's not needed), Wipe Dalvik Cache, System, Data, Cache (and if you are on TWRP, after this, go to Mount and uncheck System to get no errors)
Flash the Rom and GAPPS that you want to use (This will flashs new Bootloader and new Radio too, automatically)
Restart and Setup this
If someone have any issues, please report here so I try to fix as soon as possible!
This works only with LTE Band 4 (AWS 1700/2100) that is supported by Nexus 4. If your carrier don't have support to Band 4 of LTE, I recommend that you use the version without LTE.

I don't tried this. If you can, try and post the result, but before, make a backup of your files!
Awesome work !
I just feel I have to speak my opinion here. Knowing that this is built on an unfinished, unofficial not even alpha builds of CM11 which I have tried btw, might spell a certain instability issues. Also, this means that dev now has to keep up with all the nightlies.
But the concept is great, just like the previous N5XP ROM. Which am on might I add. And if this is anything like N5XP, but with CM11 features namely Theme Engine am all for it.
But sadly this is a custom ROM now, no longer considered as "Custom Stock" so I won't be mirroring on my own server where I only add various iterations of the Factory image, meaning ROMs that use the Factory Image as a base not AOSP. But, I will, however upload to my file hosting account over at Expressleech, only thing is they require that all files be password protected for some odd reason. Hope that this small extra step won't bother y'all...
Anyways, will be happy to give it a spin. And I hope it doesn't turn into a nightly coz I simply hate having to keep up...
Thanks though... :good:

Everything works perfectly, nice job @andersonaragao. I have no error or FC. ART is running without problem with this build. But i going back for the stock build because im not really into modding stuff. For people that love modding stuff, this rom is recommended.

I am into heavy modding. But, I made a vow, that I will no longer flash custom ROMs and that I will stay Stock on my Nexus 4. But now that I restored SlimKat ROM to update it, I am starting to regret that. I dunno what to do now... And am gonna try this ROM here. I guess once a crack flasher always a crack flasher xD

Everything is working fine, but xposed framework doesn't work (It does in your stock N5 port).
Also Google keyboard is installed but emoji is missing. Do you know a way to get it? Thanks for your work!

Is it just me or is root not working? Couldn't get TB to work, so I flashed the newest SuperSU and still not working with any root apps.
Looks great other than that

Root working fine. Don't need to flash anything. This is already rooted.
To flash this version, you don't need to flash GAPPS nor ANYTHING. Only the flash the version that you want in OP. This already rooted and running fine. This rom is for people that need some goodies of CM11 and need a Experience from Stock Rom! And if you need a kernel, you can use a Normal kernel. You don't need to use a Kernel for CM.
Looks good, just wondering if this has the screen flickering going on with CM11 these days or not? Doesn't look like it though so i'm gonna check it out!
-------------
Edit
Stock Kernel, not CM one so should be golden.

Test this and be happy.
Stock Kernel also works great, no flickering. Just gotta see how it does on battery - my last test had Android System sucking up CPU non-stop!

Looks like you forgot the teleservice.apk that works with the new GoogleDialer.apk.
Also if you gonna include the new dialer then remove the AOSP/CM one
The current one dials but you can't see the "in-call" screen, well that is when you remove the normal dialer and use the actual GoogleDialer.apk.
See attachment below for the one that I've been using. This replaces the one in priv-app.

You have flashed this? My rom don't need this. I make a proper solution and haven't lost the Call Blacklist. It's includes both Dialers but only GoogleDialer.apk is showed. Flash and look at to this!

Always create a backup before flashing, to have a rescue option when something bad happen.
IMPORTANT NOTE before installing
Create a backup of your existing rom.
You can't go back by just flashing over an older android version.

OTA can be found here: Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates
If you are using "SlimKat 4.4.4 (build 6.9 - 20140729-2210)" and you like to use OpenDelta OTA, you have to replace the apk.
I had an error inside the OpenDelta config, so the included app wont finde any updates (This is fixed in later releases).
To replace you will need to use adb and replace the apk (apk can be found at the end of the thread). Therefore open comand window and type:
- adb root
- adb remount
- adb push OpenDelta.apk system/priv-app/
How to change filesystem to f2fs?
Since 8.4 this rom uses f2fs as filesystem for system and data partition.
Here is how to change the file system:
- Use the latest twrp recovery with f2fs support form here.
- Boot into Recovery
- Select Wipe (1)
- Choose Advanced Wipe (2)
- Choose system and data (only one at a time) and than select Repait or Change File System (3)
- Select Change File System (4)
- Select F2FS (5)

Well at least it boots for now there is hope after all. Now if pengus77 could shed some light on how the 3.x kernel is going along, that would be awesome
Test to install with full wipe and with none-neon gapps and found first boot take a little bit longer time and got many error about setting can't do any thing so decide to make new install with slim gapps YES i can pass to use the phone like normal rom :good: BUT now switch back to JB because
-WIFI not work as said at OP but I need wifi.
-InternalSD not mount and error notification said blank sdcard or unsupport BUT external sdcard can use via /storage/sdacrd1 so /dtorage/sdcard0 unuseable.
-Camera and gallery force close I think because of not detect internalSD.
-random reboot BUT it very fast to back to lockscreen.
hope WIFI work next version and will test again.

I am trying to fix wifi next.
Than internal sd-card will follow. I think I know what needs to be changed. Now that the phone boots again, I can do something.
On LG E610 L5 there have also been reported some issues regarding wifi, not sure if the same as here, but on L5 the issue are related to wifi cryptation where wep and wpa2 works, but not uncrypted......just wanted to mention just in case. @PecanCM works on it.

Thanks, I will take a look at it.
I know the people from PecanCM, so if its the same problem it should be easy to ask them for help.
wow respect @DJNoXD i tested it and it's very smooth and i've ca. 230MB of RAM free to use (after clean install)
hope it will be stable soon
Just a wifi question, are the issue related to wpa? By that I don't mean wpa2. Just wanna know because on LG-E610(L5) there is no problem with wpa2 and wep.

Who installs this Rom, accept it "as is".
Contains just the apps and options installed.
What you want to add will have to be obtained from Google-Play or any other sources.
Please, don't report bugs if you are not using the installed Dhollmen Kernel.
In case of questions or comments, you must indicate additional apps, tweaks or installed "optimizations".
if you insert images, do it in a 'hide' tag. This hide your image until an user click to show it.
I assume you has installed a suitable Recovery and know how to perform the required steps.
Keep in mind that Antutu and others related apps give you very similar values, regardless of the Rom used.
In such apps, OC influence on speed, but its goal is to evaluate the hardware, not the Rom.
Don't use any kind of overclock before three consecutive stability test in Antutu.
> Rom take a long time to boot after installing.
It is quite normal if ART runtime is used as applications are self-compiled at first boot time, after installing a new Rom or changing to ART.
> Applications are slow to start after installing.
It is quite normal if ART is used because apps have self-compiled before first use.
Although it may seem at times, the Rom is not hung, just have to wait.

> Google Apps (Gapps).
All Gapps packages available are virtually identical.
Only differ, from each other, in the amount of installed applications.
Two different packages must be never installed as likely to cause Google applications FC.
The Dhollmen Gapps, being valid for any Rom, are specifically adapted for installation on it.
> Viper4 - Convolver - IRS.
This application controls the System Sound FX.
It also includes a number of advanced pre-equalizer settings (made by others) that are the IRS whose installation files requested.
Access to Convolver (manager of the IRS) is obtained by selecting the option Expert in Experience Settings.
Using another equalizer (provided by external applications) usually interfere with it.
You can only have one active equalizer in the system, but if you want to use another one, kindly Viper4 can be turned off.
> Restoring backups.
It is very common Titanium Backup (or similar) problems in Rom.
If backup /data partition are made and, after a change of Rom, restored, usually side effects will occur.
In this directory and subdirectories it contains, there are many configuration files and internal databases.
When it comes to a specific application should not be a problem as long as it is not part of the Rom.
When sub-directories containing settings are restored, the likelihood of problems increases exponentially.
For example, all Roms have a Settings application, but the content of his configurations differs between them and is not interchangeable.
Under no circumstances you should restore /system partition apps.

I do not want to look like I refuse to answer it, but now I'm not focused on as I solved each of the bugs I found.
Note that I have made several thousand code modifications by adding, modifying or deleting lines.
I started my work on past July, then I abandoned her to get involved in Carbon and then restarted in past October.
When I got the initial repo version this included numerous previous changes.
If your bearings me a little about these problems, I can try to locate code sections related and, perhaps then, will serve you as an aid.
Regards.

Can someone else with a 3113 or 3110 running this ROM test their mic to see if its working properly?
I went to use Google now an noticed it could not hear me. Then went to sound recorder, same results. Just to be sure, I opened pitchlab, an app I use to tune my guitar and a few other instruments and still no response from mic. Didn't see it in "known bugs" in the thread so that's why I'm asking. I did compare the libs and modules for mic from a previous nandroid of aokp that i know the mic worked just to make sure it was all there. All is there, like it should be..
Ill pastebin a logcat if noone else reports this but I figured I'd ask first.
For reference I installed it clean like so:
Did a full format of
/system
/cache
/data
/sdcard
Then installed the latest ROM.zip and gapps from first post. Everything else in the ROM works beautifull. Fast and smooth. Using for about three days as a daily driver before I noticed the mic problem. Didn't experience any other bugs and I have been through every setting in customization available to get it setup how I like.
P.S. using built-in kernel. And no Xposed or modules
Edit: Fixed.. updated my recovery and re-flashed a clean flash. Rom works quite nice. Fast and smooth. Ill report bugs if I find any.
Stable , fast and good battery life. Tablet UI interface it's wonderful! I test mic later

This ROM is a joint effort put together by @bri315317, @ted77usa and myself. This is the ROM that we believe everyone has been waiting for, it is cross compatible with both the S5 and S5A, is designed to be fast, stable and easily accept mods and themes. Our goal was to provide one ROM that is easily maintained for both devices. It uses a proprietary scripting system designed to detect and correctly configure multiple devices (in this instance the S5 and S5A) it can be expanded to include many more. We hope you all enjoy this ROM and our goal is to make it easier to maintain and support rather than trying to devide our time amongst several different ROMs.

The following issues may be encountered:
1. Fingerprint scanner sensitivity may be encountered when attempting to change secure lockscreen type
if this is encountered the alternate password still works to allow access.
2. Screen on notification for text messages even though a toggle is included may not work properly.
3. Bluetooth devices may disconnect on outgoing or incoming calls (not reproducable by me)
one user reports no problems with BT, one user reporting this issue. even tho i have only the one
report i am amaking mention of this issue here as it is a definite nuisance.

Reboot to SS Recovery
Special Note:
1. Private Mode - Has been removed from the build, without the accompanying knox components Private Mode remains non-functional. I know that there are ROM's out there with Private Mode working however, I have not had time to research exactly what is required in order to make it play well with custom ROMs it is possible that it just requires the missing folder structure and nothing more but I have not had time to delve into that as of yet. In deference to performance and functionality most accompanying code has been removed.
2. A.R.T. Runtime - A.R.T. runtime even on a good day is tempermental at best, Google did not intend it to be any type of daily use environment and since this ROM is de-odexed the system has a dificult time handling the conversion process from Dalvik to A.R.T. therefore I have chosen to temporarily disable this feature through the developer options in settings. All of the code for this feature still exists within the ROM itself and can be turned back on fairly easily, my intentions are to wait until Google decides if this is going to be mainstream or drops it from use.
Major enhancement to the flashing process
I have included custom scripts that are called during the flash process (I originally wrote and implemented these in the HTC forums). These scripts in conjunction with the updater-script are able to better handle the process of wiping /system and /data and also include the automatic backup and restore of all user level apps from /data/app. The scripts intentionally ignore all coresponding application data backing up only the core apk itself. this offers you a completely clean start from scratch not only for all system apps but all of your personal apps as well. Now when flashing there is no more need to remember to wipe data or system just copy the zip to your sdcard, reboot to SS Recovery and flash and your done.

Awesome ROM
Love the ROM! Thanks for all the hard work. One thing I did notice is that when I reboot the phone, WiFi disconnects and I have to type in the security key again each time. Other than that no problems!

Thanks for another brilliant ROM!
Is it CM based restricitions, or some setting, that is impossibe to add new folder into /sdcard0/Android/data for example with ES Explorer?
Even using root, it's impossible to add anything there.
Also apps can't add anything there and giving errors?

Ok, I can try, but whats the reason making custom build, which have built in root support, but is more tight than default build and after all this custom build development users must still use cli commands?

I didn't get what you mean, but your problem usually happens when you format your internal sd before flashing AOSP ROM

I did :

What I did wrong?
More, using Apex Launcher, dektop folders are fully white, so no icons are visible.
Edit: ignore, I had sdcard0 problems.
The "Performance" is empty in the settings? Is this supposed to be like this?
the kernel auditor missing idk why but u can download from play store if u want
This ROM cannot write sdcard0 folders. Tried Aria.A79 method. But not solved.

yes, but not working.
I tried another CM12.1 ROMs. They have same problem.
I also tried these codes:
su
chmod 777 /mnt/media_rw/sdcard0
chown 2800:2800 /mnt/media_rw/sdcard0
chown -R 2800:2800 /mnt/media_rw/sdcard0

but not helped.
So I copied my all files to computer and format Internal Storage. It solved my write(RW) issue problem. Also Gallery memory error was gone. But I didn't try on this ROM. I hope it will work this ROM too.
The problem is that system cannot write on existing folders (Earlier Stock 4.3 firmware created folders). Ex: Camera photo not saving, So I renamed "DCIM" to "DCIM2" then it working(it means system will automatically create new "DCIM" folder./ Also I faced Screenshot error like "can't take screenshot due to limited storage space, or it isn't allowed by the app or your organisation". So I renamed "Pictures" "Pictures2" and it will create new folder and working. So formatting internal storage is working all the apps without sdcard0 write error
Hope you all are understand me. Sorry for bad English.

When you plan some new build this ROM? Carbon ROM was the best ROM for me with Android 4 so I hope that with Andoid 5 it will be the same.
