Okay i know this can be a sketchy subject. I use a galaxy grand prime as my primary phone. But my leisure phone is Note 4 n910t. Ive read that i need to write a new cert in order to restore my imei. I have the original number but i have no clue how to even begin this process. Any help will be appreciated
Honestly, the process is extremely complicated for the Note 4. It's best to take it to a cellphone repair store that has the Octopus box (or some other hardware box). The repair is fairly inexpensive, around $40.

Hi everyone.
Like myself, I'm sure a lot of you LOVE this phone, and, again like myself, bought it and unlocked it to use with Rogers and don't have the option of taking it to Bell to get it fixed after this fiasco of a fried internal sd. So we're potentially stuck with the most beautiful brick in our hands right now, knowing what it is fully capable of.
If anyone else has been in these same exact shoes (fried internal sd, unlocked on Rogers, no Bell option to fix - regardless of before or after 2.2 update) and has gotten their phone repaired, could you please lend a helpful post to the community and recommend to us where you got it fixed, how long it took, and how much it cost? I live in Toronto, and I'm looking for Toronto/GTA options to get it fixed.
This is by far the best phone I have ever used, and would love to get it working again soon.
Thanks!

Bring it to bell
I believe bell is obligated to take your phone and send it for repair, given you have the receipt.
There have been a number of people in your situation where they purchased it off contract to use on another carrier and have sent it into bell for repair when it bricked.
one example I found. says he got bell to honor the warranty.

just prepare yourself to be without your phone for a while. i send my phone in on December 3rd and parts for repair are apparently on back order until January 3rd
BTW you can check repair status here.

o and i would leave out the fact that you unlocked your phone too.....dont want to give them a reason to not send it for repair now do we.
all the informations are one of those long internal sdcard dead threads. it's been repeated over and over in those threads...
Just curious, any reports of someone in the US getting I9000M warranty honored?

Contact Samsung Canada directly. Word is that they are starting to take repairs as well.
Androiderer and Beast, and everyone else, thanks for the helpful replies!!
I decided to just go through Samsung Canada themselves, and I wrote the following in one of the other threads:
Samsung Electronics Canada Inc.
1-800-726-7864
Second call got through, first went to voicemail, redialed right away. Talking to them now.
So during the call, I was told that I would have to take the phone back to where I bought it and send it in from there. I then advised the guy I was talking to that I had read that other people were able to get Samsung to send out the shipping label and do the repair. He double checked and confirmed it, and is in the process of preparing the repair order right now. Have the phone handy, because they will ask for the phone's Serial Number (S/N) behind the battery. 7-14 days business days is the estimated repair time, and no cost. He estimated the label will take about 24 hours or less to be e-mailed to me. Hope this information helps. All told the process took about 20 minutes, depending on the knowledge of the csr.
Good luck everyone....
Doing it this way, I never had to leave the warmth of my office lol. The phone is now in a box with the label, waiting to be picked up.
LUCKILY I hadn't sold my old HTC Tytn II Kaiser that I have Android flashed on, so I don't have to go Android-less!! Man that phone is so reliable...it's a massive brick, but so reliable...I was going to sell it, but now I think it will remain a permanent mainstay as my trusty Android backup phone. I may even consider getting another HTC phone for Android, and sell this Samsung Jekyll and Hyde machine :S
Again, thanks everyone for your help.

Anything special you said in your conversation? I called Samsung twice and they did not know about the whole shipping label via email thing, insisted on going to the service provider.

Well with respect to indian currency, the motherboard is around 3k.
But i would advice you to take it to customer sare service.
They can handle this with more ease, and the price may be around the same as the latter.
Good luck.

Please let me know if you have any idea about ..where else i can get galaxy mini motherboard other them their service center's..
Well if you ask so.
Try the underground mobile shop , ask them for motherboard replacement.
I got my old cell phone fixed the same way in chandigarh sector 22-c
But still i would recommend go for simple and full proof service center repairs.
It might be the right time to pay a visit to one of them.
Good Luck.
I have got a Riff Jtag Box from ebay, I have recently bricked my Samsung galaxy tablet 8.9 by installing a bad rom, although I found a youtube video about jtag and how to jtag. I received the jtag box and now I need the correct connections to solder the wires on to my tablets mother board. All I need to know is where can I find the correct connection for the jtag box to connect to the mother board , Thank you
My Device Is A: Samsung galaxy tab 8.9
Bricked
Idk, but it probably makes a difference if your tab is a p73xx or an i957.

Check out mobiletechvideos.com They can jtag it for you cheaper than samsung.
Ok
I have heard of them, Only problem is that I am in Australia. I think there service is located in America.
Not many people offer jtag repair services here I dont think unless you take it to samsung.
Another problem is its on contract with A carrier.
Alirght Found A tech that might help paying $50 to reinstall the internal firmware see how it goes to tommrow will reply here then.
I donr know what anyone is on about but I took my device into the technicians and they could not retrieve the tablet no matter what. Even with jtag. This just goes to show JTag does NOT save all devices that get bricked during firmware installations.
Anyway I have bought A new tablet Samsung Galaxy 7.0 This time I am never rooting again.
I got a smaller screen since I now I have A computer and it would still do the same job.
Thanks anyway

if you find one can you share it
i'm hopeless back then 2 years and didn't give you guys the any updates pfft..
too late and just past stuff now but the tablet ended up being dusted and put to rest no repair service could fix it I did it good :/
I should of looked at the model before flashing in the first place guess we all screw up in life lol
I since installed cyanogenmod 10.1 successfully on my S2
My Galaxy Note fell and now the screen has a few cracks and it doesn't start I took it to Samsung service station who Quoted an estimate of over 19,000 INR for replacement of motherboard and screen which is pretty high to me as I bought it for 22,000 INR. If I replace the motherboard and screen myself will the IMEI no. get null if yes how do I restore it ?Will I have to load Android OS again if yes how?
Please help.
Also where can I find genuine original parts in INDIA I saw few on some sites which were US based or should I search locally.
Replacing screen won't change Your imei, but changing motherboard probably will (to some new imei) , so it won't be lost. Probably there will be some rom already installed on it, as it is made for note. Else You will have to use Odin like always.

Hi, I finally gave up on trying to keep my note 4 revived but being in almost perfect condition, I made a decision to purchase a replacement motherboard.
Knowing people are trying to unload parts with the same issue, I chose to purchase a new one (as so it says)
After getting the part, I was able to install in about 25 min.
Booted up upgraded to latest firmware...
Ran good for 1 day before issues started!
The moral to the story is buyer beware!!?

I'm over UK for now but my Note 4 was out of warranty it's a Network 3 brand network factory unlocked. I had this same problem as everyone else here ddi : mmc_read fail got to a point where the freezer trick worked but I got fed up and took it to Samsung Service Centre on Friday. Told the the problem ad showed them video footage of the problem. They replace my motherboard with a brand new one and FREE of charge which was a bonus as I was going to break it down and sell it for parts. If there were sign of water damage they would of billed me for the work and new motherboard which is not cheap.. They did it on-site within 90 minutes..
It's always worth a try to go in house and ask..
They check the warranty with their database and not your bill invoice for the device.
