I updated my Note 5 SM-N920C to Marshmallow. It is UAE version. Since the update i can notice issues regarding fast charging. Previously on lollipop it used to get charged from 20 to 100% in 1 hour 10mins. Now it shows 1 and half hour for the same. Also 75 to 100% in half hour, 90 to 100% in 15 mins etc. I've checked the fast charging settings and its ON. Also the device gets hot while charging as it is mentioned. I'm using stock charger + cable. Non-Rooted/Stock Phone. Just a few disabled apps using Package Disabler Pro (I followed this thread "Guide: De-Bloating and De-Touchwizzing the Note 5" for debloatinng and used the EXTREME.zip). Help me out someone. Am I the only one experiencing this issue.

I haven't timed it, but definitely do notice it taking longer to fast charge and it's getting warmer as well. I did a hard reset after taking the update.

If you are rooted reset the battery stats.
If not rooted try factory resetting the phone.

Does your battery drain fast? Maybe you've got some apps running constantly and keep waking your phone all time. Try diagnose with Wakelock detector, see what's keeping the phone fully loaded.
Another possible reason could be the usb cable that you're using is not capable of transferring enough amount of electricity. (some can only transfer 500mah which is way too low)
Anyways, to what you described, I believe your phone is pretty much heavily loaded at all time. Try these two methods and find out what went wrong. Good luck

Voltages doesn't change from firmware to firmware.. They are all default to all fw's except for few important things.. Although Charging is much faster in KK, it takes 2.30 hours to charge from 5-100%.. I don't have any problems.. And i recommend u use the Sony original charger and a different power socket.. Maybe its voltage problem in your house.. Try charging elsewhere(Ex: Friend's house or Office) and see..
thanks to all of you, today im reseting phone. lets hope for the best..:good:

update google play services to the latest version
I'm trying to track a trend that I'm experiencing as others have:
After installing the Wear 2.0 developer release and reverting back to 1.5 the battery life is very poor. Lucky to get 8 hours out of the watch - can just about manage 16 by disabling cellular radio and location.
Appears to be agnostic of version i.e. W200 (LTE)/W200E (3G)/W200A (AT&T) and the Nov and March releases.
Indication would be that the Wear 1.5 release on the google dev site has an issue.
I am running a March release W200E.
Please indicate if same issue and model and we can hopefully bring to attention of google devs.

I'm sorry I can't help but I'm running the same watch. Just taken delivery of a W200E. Battery life is great on 1.5, I'd like to try out 2.0 but worry about the battery life on the stock google image.
Is there a way to clone the 1.5 running on my watch? Firstly to give you a working image and secondly for me to restore after trying 2.0?
Lastly, if I unlock the boot loader, try 2.0, revert to 1.5, will LG know and will my warranty be voided?
Fix:
SUCCESS!
I am on the non-preview firmware. I've been using the watch for the last 2 1/2 day and there is still 30% battery left.
It looks like the total battery life would be 3 1/2 day.
Here is what I did:
1. (Thanks cardsbea.. @gmail.com) Main thing, drain the battery to complete 0%.
(optionally) After reaching 0%, the watch shuts down, to drain the battery even more, I waited a few hours and kept the crown pressed for a few minutes every 15 minutes. Or leave the watch discharged over night.
2. Something was fixed in Google Play: 9.2.56
3. On the phone: Settings/Storage & USB/Internal storage/Clear Cached Data (it looks like it also improved phone performance - less heat)
4. May fix some BT/WiFi issues: cycle Airplane mode on the phone and the watch once a while (turn ON, wait 1 minute, turn OFF). It looks like the Airplane mode resets the radios in a special way.

Thanks, to clarify, you had the preview installed, downgraded to the stock image and then had the same battery issues before the fix above?
Hi guys!
I bought the P9 5 days ago.
I could not help but notice the poor battery performance on the first day (from 100% to 0% in 6h).
So I checked everything (turned everything off except data connection - 4G).
Chargerd the phone back to 100% (which took 4h btw).
Slowly I started getting distrustful. I bought the phone from my mobile operator, it is brand new. Original packaging, everything clear and shiny.
The phone got really, really hot from time to time.
Day 3, I charged it back up to 100%, turned every possible background operations off. Installed G SAM battery app and started tracking.
After 8 hours the battery was to 0% again.
Slowly but surely I started thinking the battery might be broken. Although I never heard of it before.
Yesterday (Day 4) I reached 10 hours of battery life in normal use (30min music, 60min browsing, only 4G connected, wifi connected for 1h, that's it).
Somehow it seems the battery performance is increasing day by day.
Today I put the phone into safe mode, to ensure no 3rd party app is draining the battery (I checked all my apps for 5 times. Nothing unusual there).
So in safe mode, I got 8 hours of battery life until it reached 50%. Then I put it in normal mode again.
In these 8 hours I had no calls, no music, nothing. Literally just standby time, being connected to 4G.
Plus the battery got really hot again, when doing nothing.
Do you guys think the battery is broken? (I am hesitating to send it in, because I don't really want to be 2-3 weeks without my new phone - understandably)
Or do I need to tweak something? I am really hoping I just oversee something important here.
But I just think I got a bad sample of the phone..
Any helpful information would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Hi. Thanks for the input. I will try to pursue that claim, thpugh I think it willbe hard, since the device is working.
They'll sure want to send it in as a warranty case.
I've been using my new Mi A2 for about a month or two now. I installed the both Oct security patches when they became available. My phone has not been rooted, has only a few apps on it so basically stock. Works great, long battery life, no complaints.
I was using the phone to reply to a text today when the screen went dark and it appeared to reboot. I saw the android one logo and after about 15-20 seconds I was back. All my apps were fine, the phone works fine etc. Very strange as I have never seen anything like this on my android phone(s).
I can see the the "uptime" on the settings display shows over 340 hours so I'm not sure if the kernel crashed or if was the display manager ... Anyone else had anything like this happen ? I'm guessing this was the display manager and not a kernel panic since it restarted so quickly.
I just do hard reset.. I have this issue before and that time I used for around 4 days and uptime 557 hours.. On battery, my device is up for 82 days.. What I do before I go hard reset, I updated to the latest November update then when it's reboot after finished installing, I reset it.. Since then no more random uptime or unusual battery stats.. Almost 2 weeks now ?
Hello guys,
I will try to be as short as possible. Brand new S10 (one week):
Day 1 - Unboxed, charged to 100%. Battery drained in less than two hours only light usage (settings and such).
Day 2 - Fully charged, SOT less than 2 hours.
Day 3 - AOD off, addaptive battery on, night mode, 3G (yes 3G becasue i heard will drain less battery), no raise to wake. SoT 2 hours, only used Facebook Messenger.
Day 4 - Fully factory reset.....Nothing changed...same SoT.
Can't be normal. I came from a 3 years old Iphone 6s which gave me with heavy usage 5 hours SoT.(LTE).
I am desperate right now. I barrely touch the phone and lose battery like crazy. Only used Messenger and few minutes of browsing...Please Check Picture. Btw (i cheched battery health and is like 95%). Even 95% health should give me at least 4 Hours SoT.
My fiancee Xiaomi Mi A1 which is 2 years old gave her freacking 9 hours of SoT and alot of gaming, and a brand new S10 ony two hours if im lucky.
Is my unit defective or someting? Please help me. I have exynos versions with november patch.
Thank you.

not sure if id say its defective, but its not normal. You could flash the stock firmware manually via Odin with the CSC not the HOME_CSC to allow it to be factory reset the hard way and see if the kernel behaves more appropriately. Not having this phone, i dont have any direct hands-on experience with it, but i have seen a ton of posts with the same issue youre having. Either return it or manually flash the stock firmware as what youre experiencing isnt normal
fwiw: i had the A8 and "upgraded" to the S9 and the battery life hasnt ever matched up with the A8 with identical usage patterns. Not sure what sammy is doing nowadays, but it hasnt been ideal for me at least

yes you can. network lock just means that you would need patched Odin if you wanted to flash a different carriers firmware. If you can download it from sammobile.com/firmwares, then you can flash it in Odin
