First of all, from HTC Kaiser to Samsung Vibrant to HTC HD 7 & I'm never going to look back!
OK now:
1. Go to an Email tile
2. Tap on the far left (next to the bolded name of the sender)
3. Voila - you have a slick option to select mail
Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. Thought it might be useful
Yeah found it the other day by mistake but I didn't think it was any earth mover
Yeah, my phone actually pointed the feature out the other day - I was deleting several emails one at a time, and a little info bar appeared at the top to say you can click on the left to quick select.
Not an earth mover at all, but neat that it recognised what I was doing and was able to tell me how I could do it quicker!

its great, but were is the "select all" feature, instead of you having to select each one.
I avg over 80 emails a day... how fun is my day selecting each one to delete

That makes no sense, what is the point of keeping an email once you have read it? I check most of my emails on my desk top, the phone I use to track what is happening via emails for 4 different accounts when out with clients.
I dont need 100 emails sitting on my phone.
I am simply stating that every phone I have every used even old ones allowed you to do a select all feature for old sms phones.
HD2 has it, why was it not placed into WM7, just a small feature which is important but also missing as many important ones are.
but face book is there, wheeepy another face book driven phone, like we dont have enough of those.
Here's another one that you may (or may not) be aware of.
when typing press and hold on the actual text you have been typing. A cursor will appear allowing you to re-position anywhere within the text.
very handy for going back to make changes (like inserting a space between words, inserting words etc.

I am also using 4 email accounts, two Exchange servers and two Hotmail accounts. I have no problem to have two weeks synchronized on all of the accounts. If you dont want it, than set it to last 3 days and you dont have to worry about...

Having a weird problem with the Android app for Google+... I left a messaging conversation, and it keeps popping back up when I go back into messenger. This is the case on my tablet, and phone. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing is working. Suggestions?
Bump.
10char
Open google plus
Go to messenger
Long click on the conversation you want gone.
Select leave.
But make sure you are logged out on the other device.
I hope this does what you need.

I've left this conversation several hundred times over the last 4 days. It keeps showing back up. I've cleared data on both devices, and my tablet is actually turned off right now, so logging out isn't the issue.
I have been trying to recreate your problem.
So far, no luck...
Only thing I can think of, maybe the problem isn't on your side but on the side of your conversation partner?
According to google the only way to get back in a conversation is when someone invites you back in.
When you leave a conversation, you’ll no longer receive messages from that conversation and won’t be able to access or view the history of the conversation unless you’re invited back.
Since one-on-one conversations are between you and another person, there’s no way to completely leave them.
I'm just guessing here. Sorry, I wished I could help you.

Might be it, but it was a one liner and it keeps coming back.
I now have another conversation stuck.
Maybe best to post feedback to the google plus app people themselves ? I don't think there's a problem with your setup, just a bug on google's side ?
The best

No idea what it is. It happens on my tablet and phone...really annoying. Tried clearing data on everything and no luck...uninstalling/reinstalling, nothing.
Anyone else find that when in a long list such as in the play store my apps - all section, that if you scroll in one direction fast enough about 4 times or more, you get a never ending bounce from the top to the bottom and back to the top? I have also recreated this effect in a long hangouts conversation and in the Appy Geek app so it must be a UI bug.

Got the official android pie One UI update tonight and just wtf is this mess ? I like the reachable menu items but no swiping across to access the next menu item is less intuitive. Swiping down to access notification is now drawn out, a quick flick down doesn't open it you have to drag your finger down. Performance modes seem to be missing.
All in all it just looks like iPhone OS.
I'll get used to it a guess, well I'll have to won't I ?
I'm sure there's more I'm going to complain about as I've only been on Pie for about 20mins.

Can't disable Bixby, omg are you really happy with this steaming pile ? I feel like someone has took my flagship Samsung phone and replaced it with a budget model.
Now I'm gonna have to factory wipe it cos it's running like a bag of ****, stuttering
I completely agree. It's really terrible.
What have they done to multitasking?
You used to be able to swipe from one corner of a full screen app to put it in windowed mode. That's completely gone.
In order to use split screen you have to go into recents. Swipe back to the app you were using (because it moves away from view). Tap the icon at the top of the app. Select "open in split screen view". Then either scroll through all your recent apps to find the one you want to have one the bottom half of the screen. Or if it isn't in your recent apps you have to find it by typing into a search box! (You can't even switch which is top and bottom any more.)
In Oreo you just opened recents tapped split screen on one app and selected the other from the app-list in the bottom.
Totally! I am so frustrated that I threw my phone from a moving car. Never touching a Samsung again. That will teach them. I bet they will go out of business now!

No-one else has these problems so it's not the OS, have you factory reset yet?
Always factory reset after a major OS update Oreo > Pie
Or as I already explained how to, flash back to Oreo

It's a new OS, it is different to the last one, there is an easy way to go back, no-one likes listening to someone complaining about everything possible in multiple threads for no reason other than you don't like it, that's not productive and is not going to change anything, so either learn to live with it or flash back to Oreo
Why keep complaining you don't like Pie when you absolutely do not have to use it? It's just whining mate, no-one likes that and all you'll do (As is already happening) is annoy other members
If you're having problems with it, then by all means ask questions on how to fix it, but don't just keep posting the same old thing over and over saying it's crap it's crap, you don't like it, we get it
EDIT - Go spam Samsung's twitter account with your dislikes, at least the people who did this horrendous thing to your phone will hear you that way

Come on mate, you must know it's not helping anything, totally understand it's not cool when features you used are removed, happened to me with my S7 and I took Samsung's head off about it, but other than an initial post here asking where it had gone, there's no need to keep hammering it, it's gone.
If you need a hand flashing back to Oreo I`ll happily help, only take a few mins once you have the firmware downloaded

One answer to that is dont use Samsung apps. I have plenty of space so I use the Google dialer, Google Messages, and Google calendar. In fact, I don't use any stock Samsung apps and have most of them disabled along with Samsung Experience Home. With Home disabled the recent menu is vertical again. Of course, with receents vertical you can't use the hold home slide right option.

You can disable Bixby and Software updates using Package Disabler Pro, does not require root either
Hi, I'm running stock Android 10 on my Note 9. One of the most annoying "features" is that incoming calls take up the whole screen with no possible means of dismissing, or switching to another app while its ringing. Often I don't want to send it to VM so I don't want to reject nor answer the call. I silence the ringer, I want to let it ring but I don't want to stare at the screen for the entire time its ringing. I have the show in pop up window enabled, but that only works if I have another app open. If a call just comes in when I don't have another app open, it obnoxiously takes over the phone with no options to do anything other than pressing either the red or green call buttons. Is there a way to change this behavior or can I install another dialer app and make it my default? I'm seriously amazed this is how it was designed to work!
If you're not in another app, why does it bother you?
If you mean when the phone is idle with screen off and a call comes in then I don't see a point in not being fullscreen.
When it is updated to ui 2.1 there might be a setting to change call display while using other apps/mini popup

Whether you see the point or not doesn't really matter, if I'm asking, what I'd like to know is can it be done or not? I don't understand these non informative responses. Why do you bother taking the time to respond only to say you don't see the point why I'm asking?
However, if you must fully understand before giving a more useful answer, I use Google voice and I need to see which calls come from Google voice as a forward versus direct calls to my cell phone number. The only way to differentiate is seeing if hangout is also ringing or not. Occasionally hang out starts up first in which case it works like a charm. But every time the phone app rings first, it locks the screen and I cannot navigate to the Hangouts app or even pull down the notification to see if Hangouts is even ringing.
That's only one reason. The other is if I don't want to send the call to voicemail, and I want to let it ring, I don't necessarily feel like staring at my phone for 30 seconds if I want to do something else on it. I've had many phones and this is the only one that is acting this way. It's dumb.

as I have already stated, I already have that option checked off but it only works as you said while in other apps. I question specifically was for times when I am not in other apps.

Thank you, that was much more helpful! I'm not sure if it's due to the difference of S10 vs Note 9, but the swiping down diagonally from your left to lower right doesn't do anything for me. Anyways, I guess we have exhausted all options and using the edge is probably the best one for me. Thanks again!

Glad it works. If you'd like to try the swipe from corner to make the window small but you can't right now try to install Good Lock and use the module MultiStar. Inside this module there's an option called "Pop-up view action" which enables (or forces or re-enables xd) the functionality to swipe from the top corner diagonally in order to make the currently open app's window smaller.
If Good Lock does not work where you live then use either FineLock or NiceLock from the play store and install the module from here manually: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/samsu...amsung-multistar-3-2-28-android-apk-download/
