Goodmorning everybody,
I want to underline that this problem is affecting my phone before i made every kind of Mod.
Essentially, the screen keeps turning back on every time i look it, even if i try to let it turn off by its self.
It's a big problem, because the device never goes on deepsleep and the battery last less than 6 hours of screen on..
I've already tried with full wipes and ROM change, no luck. The problem can be faced in recovery too.
I read somewhere this could be caused by a not-working micro-usb ingress, so the phone believes to be continuosly plugged to a charger. Then i tried with "SnooZy Charger" and "No Wake On Charge", 2 apps for keeping the screen off when plugged, but still no luck.
Has anyone an idea or a solution for this problem? I don't know what else to do.
Hoping for an answer, i also attach a logcat.
Thanks to everybody

I wonder whether anyone has had this problem before. During a phone conversation the Wing suddenly turns itself off and drops the call. Turning it back on, results in a soft reset which can freeze at the Windows logo. Then the device can only be revived by plugging it to its charger. This happens even when the battery has a full charge.
I have removed the XD card and it still behaves the same.
I have hard reset the device to its original state and still the same thing happens.
Does anyone have any ideas about what is going on?
Thanks
im no expert but ive never heard of this problem before. if a hard reset doesnt fix it either id have to guess that its a faulty wing you should get a replacement.
I had the same problem happen to me once. I charged it for a day (took a long time to charge, too...) and then it started working by itself...
Hey there.
I have my HTC S730 for nearly 2 months now.
I don't know why but my Wings plays a strange melody and then turns off.
Even if the battery is fully loaded! After it turned off it takes a long time before i can turn it on again. I can push the start button on the top of my smartphone but nothing happens.
I don't know what it is. I Hardresetet my device 3-4 times now but it's still not working correctly.
Can you please help me?
Did anyone recieve the same "error"?
I have the same error!
But no solution.
It happens sometimes, mosty not logical... I'll wait for a few weeks, if it keeps on i'll go back for warranty!
What are you running when the reboot occurs? Never looked but is there a way to schedule it to do such a thing?
Does it display anything on screen before it happens? You might check in the power options to see if its shutting down due to some setting...
When I have some time I will dig through mine and take a look.
Off the top of my head I would surmise that its either overheating and shutting off, an installed application is causing issues and it is turning off, a setting within the phone is causing it to turn off, or something is wrong with the device.
May be caused by overheating. I have no other applikation installed on my Device since i Hardreset it. It shows up the HTC logo when it shutsdown.
I dont run any applications at all. Sometimes i listen to music with the Music Player.
When i start my phone up again (after some waiting time) it shows me that my battery power is 0. After some time of waiting it shows me that my battery is nearly fully loaded.
It only happens 1 or 2 times per day.
But please help me
It's not overheating in my case.
I saw it happen last time (5 minutes ago), just before the HTC logo is saw a little cross trough the battery indicator. I suppose the battery is not good? After reboot the indicator shows a full battery??
I would give HTC a call about those batteries. I would think that they are bad, or the phone is having issues drawing power from them and so it shuts off.
If its overheating it should be VERY warm to the touch, I have gotten mine warm but never hot after some heavy use, but I just let it cool off afterwards and it was just fine.
Usually with low battery it will flash a warning on screen and make a noise indicating low battery, but if the battery suddenly is in zero the phone could automatically shut off. Does it power off quicker than a normal shut down sequence? I would have thought that the phone would just run until it's instantly cut off by a dead battery, but if its misreading it or reads it in the danger zone it could have an auto shut down.
Had the same thing with my wings/s730.
After hard resetting it it worked fine again.
I recently received a replacement Nexus One from HTC and within three weeks it has already developed another problem.
Here's what usually happens:
Night to 6AM: Charging the phone
6AM: Pull the phone from the charger
6-8AM: The phone drains battery normally
~8AM+: The phone will automatically shut off for no reason at all, and then I try to turn it back on. After boot up it immediately begins the shut down procedure, with the battery reading ~0% life (sometimes I can't even turn the phone back on after a battery pull, it takes multiple pulls).
I originally thought that the problem was the Nexus was reading an incorrect charge on the battery, so I tried wiping the battery stats. There was no change in behavior, the phone continued to shut off. The only way to fix the problem temporarily is to charge the phone to use it, but the problem persists once the phone is taken off the charger.
I even tried doing a full factory reset, but the device exhibited the same problems after a certain period of time, which leads me to conclude that this is most likely a hardware problem, either with the battery or something with the N1 itself.
Has anyone else experienced similar problems, or does anyone know how to fix the issue? Please offer some insight, as this is getting quite frustrating and I can't use my phone normally until I get another replacement, or I fix the problem.
Can ANYONE help me? I hate only being able to use my phone for like two hours a day if even that.
I will have to start using my RAZR as a back up everywhere I go until I figure this out
answer
CHECK YOUR PM--i had same issue---IT WAS THE BATTERY!!!!! They sent me a new replacement batt and it hasnt cutoff in 2mos!!---KNOCKS ON WOOD DAMMIT!!LMAO!
This is an odd one.
I've had this several times in the last month. What happens is, I charge my phone to 100% and soon after it drops down to 99%. All good so far.
The problem is, it then doesn't decrease at all.
Now I rarely let my battery go flat so I've always put it on charge before it hits the real 0 (also in case it damages the battery) but no matter what I do after this, the indicator never leaves 99%.
The only way I've found to get around this is to reboot the phone - not an ideal thing to do.
Has anyone else come across this problem yet or am I just incapable of using my battery meter?
Didn't really give enough info to help you buddy... Which rom are you on? Is this persistent with each Rom? Have you tried an ruu? Have you tried calibrating the battery?
If you tried all of the above...think about a replacement

Sorry - I should have mentioned I'm on the stock ROM.
I've managed to get the value unstuck but I had to connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect, etc. a lot of times in rapid succession over about a minute before it started working again.
It's a pain when it happens because when I use the phone for GPS, battery drains quickly and it's useful to know how much more I should be using it before I won't have power to return home (new charger for the car is in the post).
Have you found a solution? I have exactly the same problem...
There is a little more to it than just the title says. Here is some background on the phone. I'm a rooted user with MotoWPNoMo. I also have Xposed Framework installed as well.
All this problems started to happen on day after I let the battery drain to 0%. I tried charging it with my car computer and even a wall charger nothing seem to bring it back to life. I got luck when I had just left it plug into my computer for a few hours when it randomly decided to boot up. Since then I haven't wanted to turn it off. Additionally I have had some issues with it where the screen will turn and then I'm unable to turn it back on with the power button. While everything seems to be going smooth now, I fear it will be short lived.
What kind of issues would cause these kinds of problems? Can this really be triggered from the battery going down to 0% just once?
Thanks again in advance to anyone who offer any kind of help.
