Outgoing calls taking long - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6

I have a stock galaxy s6 and ever since the marshmallow update outgoing and incoming calls take up to 5-6 seconds to initiate. Anyone have this issue? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Using my Nexus 7 as a phone

I've been using my Nexus 7 as a phone that only makes calls and texts. This way I don't receive any from it when I don't have a WiFi connection available. This also works really well because it saves the battery life of my Galaxy Nexus LTE.
Using TalkaTone and Google Voice this was very possible and very easy. You can also use GrooveIP, but I'm not using my $25 PS credit on that.
Since I'm always on WiFi w/ my N7 at home it's very convenient to be able to call on my tab. It is awesome texting from my N7!
I'm not going t go into great detail because if you're serious about this then head over to the GNex forum area and check out the massive thread on this subject.

I tried calling from Google voice but I can't hear anything.
I don't even see a dialer.
How do you turn on speakerphone
Google Voice texting is working well though.

you have to install the Google voice app, allow it access to your Google account. Once you open the voice affiliation due the first time you will be able to allow it access.
Then whenever you text/receive text you will see the notification...It's like chatting.
You have to have Google voice number previously for it to work.

+1 for groove IP pro, works great and I use text+ gold for sending and receiving texts. Might have to have a different number for each app but it works.

I depend on Google Voice + Groove IP + Verizon unlimited LTE on my smartphone. Glad to find out it's working fine so far on Nexus 7 WIFI tethered off of the smartphone.

Google Voice and GrooveIP
I agree. I've been using GV and GrooveIP on my galaxy player for several months. I'm glad to see that this combo works even better on the Nexus 7.
+1 for GrooveIP
You can use it as a speakerphone, but with a headset it's fantastic. (as long as you have a solid internet connection)
On my other tablets I had to tweak the settings to make it usable, but on the N7 I have had no issues whatsoever using the default settings.

[Q] Visual Voicemail APK

Hey, folks.
Does anyone here have the APK for the sprint Visual Voicemail ap? I just installed Cyanogenmod 11, and I'm really missing my visual voicemail. It's a mild pain to have to call my own phone number and listen to my voicemail after being used to the visual interface.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a bunch. Are you running CM 11? If so, have you had problems with cellular data? WiFi connects fine, but I don't seem to be able to get any cell data signal.

I am not on cm11, even most sense roms that I have tried don't have working vvm. Try updating to newest radios for the data issues.

@hawknest just released a 4.4.2 sense rom with vvm working.

Vvm appears to work with that apk, but no data even with new radio. May have to try that 4.4.2 sense ROM.

Duplicate text's is an issue many of us have had. Please let Sprint know you're experiencing the issue here: https://community.sprint.com/baw/thread/179054
Also, try switching to LTE and see if anything changes. I've been on LTE since N5 and have never had issues. I'm also not ruling out #blameSprint as a culprit.
Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk
I switched it to LTE rebooted and still same problem
It takes a while for my phone to connect to, by the time I enter my password and view the home screen signal is back. I have experience text message error, even when I am in an area with 4 bars LTE. I haven't had any MMS issues yet. This may be due to Sprints abysmal network.
Seemed to temp fix mine by using 3g only texts send no problem and i can actually stream pandora without it skipping every second
Can't believe internet is faster on 3g
That's a network issue on Sprints part. Buddy of mine had an S4 with no LTE but 3G worked. The sim card ID was incorrect on their end. They reset it correctly and everything works.

Yeah my phone is working perfect with the only 3g option on hopefully they fix it soon

Call forwarding enabled by itself

I have the t mobile note 4 that I am using on my ATT account. It is rooted with a custom rom. It has been working great. A little bit ago it made a sound I haven't heard before and on the screen it said call forwarding unconditional now set. So I can't receive any calls on it. I went to the phone settings and when I access the call forwarding screen everything is turned off and it says invalid network or SIM card. I'm pretty sure the SIM card is working because I can send text messages and connect to the LTE network. Any ideas what is going on ore how to fix it?

try some of those codes to deactivate it

I have tried the #21# which is listed on att help but I get a message that says connection problem our invalid mmI code. I forgot to mention that I have a galaxy gear s that has auto call forwarding enabled on the watch and phone. It has been working great for the 2 months that I have had it.

call att and ask them to reset your account. Maybe problem is on their side. Did you check if imei on both units are clean?

It's on both LP and MM.

Make sure both phones have VoLTE set-up properly. Also, if T-Mobile is having temporary VoLTE issues, or if one of you is not in a VoLTE area, it may be temporarily unavailable.

I can honestly say I have never seen it on mine either. Wife and I are both on tmo. I've flashed stock and roms (all TW based) many times and never have seen it on any version of the firmware.

The settings appear different, now - here's the original discussion on the features of Advanced Messaging and Video Calling with 5.1.1 - http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/help/5-1-1-advanced-messaging-t3266192
Video calling is an option for me when connected to either WiFi or LTE. As for the VoLTE settings, the only settings I see now are 'VoLTE Preferred', under the 'Call' settings (in the contacts or dialer menu). If you are doing everything right, and it's not working, I can only guess it may be a lack of LTE coverage in your area - Maybe double-check if your phone reports a 4G or 4G-LTE connection. Good luck - I hope you get it working!
