I had a moto 360, and when I changed to the LG Urbane I noticed that there was no weather Google now card.
I know that recently Google changed the way that Google now cards show up, showing the low priority cards into just one card on wear, including the weather. This "merged cards" card does not show up. Is anyone else with this problem? I'm using Google app version 5.13.30.21 (beta) on a Nexus 5X running stock marshmallow and a LG Urbane with marshmallow too.
Seem not working since few weeks I use "Weather Timeline" for Weather Card.
more or less it is my situation: google app beta, Android 6.0.1, Moto 360. No weather cards, nor on the clock, nor in the widget on the phone, nor in the google app. Have you solved? Thanks!

I started with a Verizon Tab because of the price. But I have switched to an AT&T model because I don't need data all the time, just occasionally and you can't start and stop the data with Verizon like you can with AT&T. So, I have a new TAB and while I knew that the various carriers put their own bloatware on, I didn't realize that the widgets weren't standard. There is a news and weather widget that I really liked that downloaded from user selectable categories. Could someone tell me what that widget is so that I can located it in the Market?

Update. I downloaded the Verizon user manual and it is the Google News and Weather App. I don't seem to find it in the market, but I am looking.

Just search for GenieWidget.apk or if you have skype I can send it to you.
Maybe I'm going mad but I'm sure when I first used my Urbane there was a Google Maps app. However now Maps isn't in the app list. The only way I can get it up is to trigger a set of directions thorough "OK Google" . Does anyone have maps show in the list? (I.e next to Weather, Alarm, Settings, Google, Play Music etc)

Same here, but here's how I fixed it.
I uninstalled and reinstalled Google Maps. Then I resynced apps on my Android Wear app. I appeared as an option a min later!
I had to do the same thing with Google Music

I'm also missing other apps (I think) does Whatsapp, Ubur or Shasam have apps for wear? Hard to tell if I missing them or they just don't have a way to launch on the watch....
You need the latest version of maps and android wear. I removed the watch from android wear, reset the watch, paired them again, it worked. Also got an update that up to now it had been saying did not exist and a few other oddities fixed. I'm not sure why I didn't do this before, I suppose because I'm used to it being a bit of a chore to reset a rom on the phone and I need to recalibrate my thinking for the watch/android wear. It only takes a minute to get the reset going, check back in about 15 minutes to pair with phone, check back in after a while and its done. Knowing what I know now I'll likely do this every so often just to see what new apps will be pushed to the watch and if it will pick up an update.
I bought an Urbane rcently and paired it with my OPO.

I am trying to launch the Maps App on google wear and it displays the following error message
"maps won't run unless you update the android wear app".
I cant seem to find a way to update the wear App.
Anybody else faced this issue or help fixingit?

Works fine on my Urbane and S5. I have Android wear app updated to 1.4 on my phone. And on the Urbane it's 1.3.02166028. Google Play version 8.4.89
Works well for me using Galaxy S6. Could be what seems like one of several watch problems when using a One Plus phone.
Worked after uninstalling the ANdroid Wear and reinstalling. Do not ask me why it didnt work the first time. Just like many of the OPO problems with a watch might have been another
Since about 2 weeks I can't have Google Maps working correctly on my LG G Watch R downgraded to AW 1.5. the actual map is not displayed, instead only the prompt saying "Google Play services are updating". There is also a crosshair showing attempt to lock GPS signal.
During the navigation on phone, directions are displayed correctly on watch, but launching full screen map results in the same: no actual map being shown, the same message about updating Google services.
My version of Google Play services on a watch looks quite up to date , it is 12.2.21. On the phone (Note 8) I'm also using updated software.
Any clues?
It has been fixed after full factory reset of the watch.
Do you have steps counting on google fit on the downgraded watch? I dont get it to work correctly.
I don't know for now. I;d bet it was showing some time ago, now I don't use Google Fit. However I can see number of steps in my favorite watchface (which is swift).

Today I was unfortunately forced to update Android Auto to 7.8.622514-release. My Android Auto was running really stable with 7.5 (and I had really bad experience with 7.1 and 7.3 --> therefore I'm absolutely no fan of this forced updates).
I checked the functionality with a second phone with the app "Headunit Reloaded".
I noticed that I have a now the "Google" app available in Android Auto.
But it seems to me that the app has no function at all. I just have the message "no new messages during your drive".
Moreover it also does not appear in the launcher settings on my phone. Therefore I can't even deactivate the Google app.
Does anyone else have this? Does anyone know what kind of function the app should have?
I really do not think that I need this app. I prefer to have a clean Android Auto. Is there any other way to deactivate this app from Android Auto?

Update: I also noticed that the Google Assistant shortcuts vanished and can't get brought back...Where are my Google Assistant shortcuts now?
Update 2: now after using Android Auto today for some drives in my car, everything is normal again. The Google app was gone after the 2nd drive and I could add my Assistant shortcuts again after the 3rd drive. I'm really curious why this happened...
I just hate these forced updates.
