Need the P9 Health app apk - Huawei P9 Questions & Answers

I uninstalled it but can't find the apk where I can reinstall. Can someone post their health apk pls?

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwEJDVi9UGXZOW5xNWtpODNKcWs/view

Thanks for that, I actually managed to find the source apk in the rom after looking for a while. I'm using the P9 plus. The health app seems to be just a simple step counter.

What was the path in the ROM?

[Q] APK file instalation.

Hi.
Does someone can explain to me how to install apps from outside Smsung App Store on Gear 2 Neo? I mean the APK files downloaded from the internet. Is it possible to install the same apps as the phone or there are any restrictions? On the internet I found the only options from the Android ADB and Fastboot.
Thank you.

The Android app files will not work on this Tizen device. The only applications you can install are the ones from the Gear Store or that you create yourself (like the watch faces).
Ok. I understand. Thanks.

Thanks for these. I have a Chinese gear clone running 4.2.2. I've installed runtastic but have no icon on watch (don't know if thats normal for the app) and starting runtastic on the phone does nothing either. This is the app I'm most excited about getting going, so any advice would be great.

did you reboot the watch ? which runtastic version did you try
Yes rebooted, running runtastic pro 5.2 on a stock note 3 running 4.4.2. Bluetooth was on and I tried the 'connect smartwatch' setting but it sent me to the play store to get gear manager. Could a gear owner tell me, does the app on the phone trigger the watch app automatically or do you have an app icon on the watch to start the pairing?
Can you please explain how you are able to spoof your device to download the apps from Samsung app store. I have an LG G2, and cannot for the life of me figure this out. Thanks for your help.

be very caredful spoofing your device, take a nandroid before you make any changes, and try screenshotting your settings and also back up your current build prop,
device spoofing changes your build prop so when google play store determines what phone uve got to give you the correct apps, start by changing your buld version and rom name, then try screen density, but caution when u reboot to apply the settings your screen may not display,
do some research on device spoofing/faking first
market enabler just fakes your phone operator and country to get other specific apps not available to your own carrier/country

install gear manager from an apk, and goproviders from an apk with gearstub apk, these apks just cut out the need for samsung app store only available to samsung devices

I was able to change the build prop and now I can install Samsung Galaxy store. I can now browse the store from Gear Manager. When I download and install the file it fails, which I expect. Where is the download location of the apk that fails to install, so I can transfer it to my pc, and then modify it? Thanks.

I changed these in my build prop:
ro.product.model: SM-N9005
ro.product.manufacurer: samsung
ro.product.brand: samsung
I am currently using an LG G2
I have been trying to download one of your apk files, but I can not, because I am receiving an error message saying your account has too much traffic.
I know I am suppose to modify the apk file, but how do I download the apk file from the Gear Manager store?

Where are the failed apk files saved? I tried looking using root explorer, but I do not see them anywhere. I can transfer them to my computer and modify them, but I cannot find them.

im guessing, if they failed to install they wont be saved, you maybe need to change more of your build.prop to save them, seems like you have only ticked apk to give you the apk, but not tricked the system to instal it

Permission Apk with full control

It appears that for some reason, there are Huawei users out there who don't have the full control Permissions App is their settings.
I've read particularly, that P8 users don't have control of their permissions settings.
Huawei released an App that modifies the system a while ago and put it on Play Store - for some reason I can't find it anymore so I've put up a link here.
It's called PM Plus, it's a very small apk (48kb) but it's excellent and it's the first thing I install on any Huawei I get.

It is best to update the B380, Phone Manager are working well and does not need any changes. In version B370 Phone Manager.apk you must copy it to / data / app /. (Phone Manager application can not be Installed), restart your phone. In case of problems you need to uninstall the Phone Manager.apk update. Root necessary !! Valid for H60-L04.

[Request] CalendarProvider.apk

Hi, so long story short... I was deleting some of the Huawei apps I don't want to use and I wasn't paying attention annnnnd I accidentally deleted the CalendarProvider [com.android.calendar/calendar storage 6.0] system app rather than the stock huawei calendar app [was using Titanium so gg to restoring system apps -_- ] and no, I... did... not... nandroid, FORGIVE ME PLS ;_;
sigh, so I want to request if someone could please upload their CalendarProvider.apk so that I can restore it since all calendar apps need this service to be able to sync. Since Honor 5c is yet to see much in custom ROM dev, most everyone [I assume] is on the stock ROM [6.0] so anyone can help out really... pwease~
Thanks

ya i tried that already... getting parsing error with the Calendar.apk file.
Also, I'm not so sure that will solve my problem... I already tired reinstalling the huawei calendar app and the CalendarProvider.apk system app was still missing so it also wouldn't work. From what I can google and read on this error, I need the CalendarProvider.apk not the huawei calendar apk.
This was taken from /system/priv-app/Calendar
Code:
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424953518
There is a Cust partition in the device which keeps some Huawei system apps so it might be worth looking into.
Be more careful next time.
Next time backup before doing anything
Making a backup would be first thing on your mind when you do critical stuff.

Magisk to fix overly restrictive SELinux filesystem permissions in Android N and O?

Is posible use magisk to fix overly restrictive SELinux filesystem permissions in Android Nougat and Oreo
https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/37091475
Well this is crap!!!
This is exactly like if Windows would deny end users permission to Task Manager, Resource Monitor, and Process Explorer! It is laughable! It is unacceptable! I'm absolutely shocked that this is where Android has gone now. It's getting worse. Since API level 26 (Android O, to be released) you cannot even access any more /prop/stat of your own process. In addition https://developer.android.com/reference/android/app/ActivityManager.html#getRunningServices(int) is being deprecated. Hereafter there is no way to know anything about any process running on a device.

If you find wich system file(s) are to be eddited, we could setup an Magisk module, assuming that the file(s) is/are located in the system part.
The file(s) path(s) aren't present by your link.
