Best Rom and Kernel For Gaming? - T-Mobile LG G4

I just got this phone (H811) . What's the best Rom/kernel for gaming. Of course I want smoothness and stability too.

I'm not sure anyone can tell you what the best is. You should try them out and test which works best for you. There are some really good modified stock ROMs and some really good CM based ROMs. I personally have been using Dirty Unicorns...quick, smooth and stable, with great customization options.

Milestone rom reccomendation

Hi guys, I myself am a G2 user, but months ago I loaded cm7 onto my friends milestone, while he does enjoy it he mentioned to me he has a lot of random reboots/freezes etc. It has cm 7.0.0 on it, I'm assuming it wasn't very stable then.
What I would like to ask is what rom would you all reccomend for speed and features? Myself I'm a huge cm fan, but don't know much about the milestones limits. If someone could confirm the newer ports of cm7 work better? I see 7.1.0.2 is here.
Looking forward to your guys thoughts and advice on the matter.
Cheers!
Edit. Or if there's another rom you'd recomend!

Try froyomod ... the fastest rom available

Try MIUI
I am using Miui 1.10.21, built on Gingerbread 2.3.7
Its a superb ROM, except, it is overclocked to 1Ghz.
I will not recommend overclocking as a safe practice.
Except that its smooth, beautiful & works perfect

very snappy!
haha good one, I have a G2 also and using some times the milestone.
I'm running froyomod 2.9.2. In my humble opinion, its kind of slow... I never really use the milestone with the stock rom, so I cant compare. But if I compare with my G2 with unity rom, the moto is slow @ 800 mhz.
But at least froyomod is ultra stable and has a good battery life.
I'll maybe try this week miui, I'll see.

I am using the original from Miui.
It support ota update.
I copied over all the file in init.d from DannyDroid rom.
Everything run smoothly. Memory ~70mb
I really love MIUI too. Fresh install of MIUI is fast but after some time it becomes a little slower than others roms.
Is MIUI gpu accelerated?

I don't face this kind of problem. Is there a lot of background process running?
Normally, i will kill off the facebook, whatapps and other unrelated process when not using them.
Thnx for the help guys, I flashed the latest cm7 kang for him since he was accustomed to cm7 already, since 7.0.0 it has come leaps and bounds, very snappy and he's getting a full 18 hours of heavy usage. He's happy, I'm happy. Thanks for all the input, tho I don't regularly frequent this device forum its great to know it contains helpful users just like my g2/dz forum. Thanx again guys!

I asked about the one with the best battery life, not the one that "nice to look at".

Hi,
During the time I tried plenty of kernels and roms, I was very impressed by the galaxy EE kernel for the battery life. With normal usage (phone, sms, download, games) but without 3g, my battery lasted around 4 days.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137595
About the rom, I did not test myself, but heared a lot of positive feedback for GingerReal2, which is very stable and smooth http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1155623
If the rom is very responsive and does not have plenty of candy and shiny fireworks, this would mean you can tune your cpu with lower speed, which will lower the battery consumption (which is possible with galaxian kernel)
I hope it helped you ;-)
Have fun !
P.S. I am surprised that you have bad battery life with CM7, because it is a very good one for that point if I remember well... Did you try to tweak the system when you installed it ?
I have had cyanogenmod 7 and miui and try a lot of kernels!
Cm7 is very good also with stock kernel, but I think that Cyanofortomorrow v1.2 is very good! You can dwl it with stock kernel or with platypus kernel.
Miui is very nice but battery life is not the best! I have a mintberry rom with glitch kernel v13.
The best kernel in my opinion are glith kernel V13 HL (smartassv2, sleep governov powersave) and platipus neo 18 didle (deep idle). For less battery drain it's very important understand wich modem phone is better for your geographic area and operator.

ROM with best graphics performance

Hi,
I'm currently on Andro-ID RC3 ROM which is a very stable ROM for daily use. Was wondering if there is anyway to make the graphics subsystem zippier on the same by flashing with the new GPU drivers or is there any other ROM which has good graphics performance and suitable for daily use (I don't use HDMI and FM).
Your suggestions would be helpful.
Regards
Sandy
try cm7.2 edowar latest. very smooth and fast with good graphics quality. its what am using and am loving it. just some few issues with the camera.

I found Bumblebee rom CM7.2 to be most stable.
I hardly see any difference in graphics performance in any of the ROMs we so far have.
For me Sharp ROM modded by comdevx. It's fast and very stable, all of my HD games play flawlessly.
the new modded sharp rom is definately the, fastest rom ive used so far and its the most stable. no restart at all and no lagging of any sort its amazing.

Yes but I would say bettery power is not good as rc3..

Most painful of Android-RC3 is headset volume too loud
For me,,everything is ok,,even sometimes camera give me force close and black screen
I think mokee os has good performance n battery,,unfortunately,,this ROM must be improved from original dev because not full customizable n few things are painfull too

How to make your note smooth and fast?

Guys, recently just flashed kingdroid a I'm in search of the best rom. I'm disappointed however because my note scored fairly low in antutu benchmark test. Any one knows what makes the phone faster and get higher scores in benchmarks? Thanks.
Sent from my GT-N7000 using XDA
Ehh....benchmarks vary so much. It all depends on what you are running (app-wise) and such. Anything can change a benchmark score.
Does the ROM "feel" smooth? Does it run good for you? This is what matters most, not benchmarks.
What really borders me about the note is the scrolling. There will always be aome scrolling lag. No doubt the phone is fast, but why the scrolling is laggy? Eg. Whatsapp scroll.

Try different kernels Bro

Tried the bestest rom and kernel out there but it still cant eliminate the scroll lag. Well there might be some improvements but its not as smooth as sgs2. Anyone out there having smooth scrolling as good as sgs2?

Theres really no best KERNEL or CUSTOM ROM unless you try them all and test it on your device, EACH device acts differently, for instance ICS Stunner may be really awesome on a majority of Galaxy Notes but on mine it struggles.
You can't go wrong by trying out all different ROMS and match the suited Kernel, I know its time consuming but it's worth it in the end as you'd know which ROM and Kernel suits your needs.

I am on Kingdroid and I flash Franco r5. When I used it with Franco updater, I can run the phone at 1600 MHz with v2.0. I am happy with the performance compare with other ICS rom I tried. However it is still not as fast in scrolling as my present sgs2 with Malice rom.
By saying the "best" rom and kernel means that the majority of the community is using and trust. And i had tried ALL the ics custom roms but still the lag is there. Im coming to know maybe there is no way to eliminate the lag. If someobe out there claim that they have no lag, pls share a video thanks.

When I tried some ics roms I found them to be really laggy and there were a few bugs. If u want something really smooth I suggest u stick with GB for the time being until all tje ics problems get sorted out.

Purity ROM with m-kernel
You'll want to make sure you select a good kernel.. Don't worry so much about which ROM. Trinity and m-kernel are both pretty smooth
Well all the roms will be basically the same but i would suggest you to use the franco kernel it is very smooth and has great features

Thread closed,
There is no true 'best' ROM, its all about personal experience, some will say ROM 'X' has the best battery life while others will say the same ROM has the worst.
This is why we do not allow such threads here, they have no real use and just tend to spark heated debates about which ROM is better.
So to find the 'best' ROM for you just try a few
