AOSP-DashCharge - OnePlus 3 Guides, News, & Discussion

when searching for OP3 roms in chinese forums , i found a baidu folder of deverloper wuxianlin ( quite famous with OPO and find7 community in the past, glasd he moved to OP3 )
I've noiticed that there a AOSP folder have " dash charge" kernel, but baidu link is super slow in my country, even with baidu cloud client.
So if anyone interested, please give a try & tell the people here dashcharge works or not
Here's the link to folder :

it's the same thing posted yesterday or the other day by someone at the development thread without sources.
this is buggy as there is no charge indicator and messes up the hardware buttons. and I'm not sure if it's using the correct binaries for dash charge. I wouldn't try this until there are sources posted. wouldn't risk getting my device fried. although coldbird posted the binaries weeks ago but no one tried it yet I guess. it'll be safer once OP provides the binaries for dash charging.

OnePlus said July end. So hopefully soon we'll have the official source.

My bad, if there's duplicate thread, Moderator please delete this thread

It has Dash Charging because it uses the stock kernel. If only that worked with CM13 and other roms.

well, an OP dev over github said it'll be available for custom rom/kernel devs befire the end of this month. Let's see. But it seems like it'll be delayed. As usual

Jellybean port?

anyone on these particularly dead forums want to come close to as even try to port jellybean to the droid 4?
+1 on that. So what if we're not mainstream phone owners. We need some TLC too!
Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
Just wait for the source to be released... then I'm sure hashcode will turn something out.
Hash will make a CM port, but CM10 won't be ready until the source drops.

hahahahahahaha reallly??
Hash has a lot on his plate right now. I'm sure he will cook something up when the time is right. We just got an ics leak working.

They have already begun merging JB code into CM10. I am sure that as soon as there is an even semi-stable JB codebase we'll get a port of it.
Do you think an ICS based kernel is going to have issues with JB?

Nope, it should not. 4.1 has mostly architecture level changes, and some drivers, but not significant kernel level changes AFAIK.

The standard stuff. Camera and data are broken, along with various glitches. It's very stable though--no crashes yet.

So that's still on the Gingerbread kernel? That's darned impressive if so! Camera and data work fine on the ICS kernel from the leaks, so it's likely that there won't be a problem then. I must admit, that's sooner than expected.

[Q] [ROM] FireNote MJ5 Deodex V5 - bluetooth issue

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2627234
Installed this ROM on slot 1. Absolutely love the quickness and battery life. Only issue I ran into was bluetooth wouldn't pair with my car (phone gave a communication failure). Returned to stock and everything worked great. Really disappointed as I loved everything about this rom. Anyone else experience this?
PS - I would have posted this in the ROM's thread, but I didn't have permission (less than 10 posts)

[Q] Weird nameless app that's eating battery? (And a bonus question about kernels)

So, I've noticed this app when checking what's been using my battery:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The notification is hiding the battery on the screenshot, but I had 60% left, so this app is responsible for about 10% of my battery use.
When checking the apps under settings, I found the app on the second screenshot (presumably the same app, as they're both nameless & icon-less):
The process is "cyanogenmod.platform". I'm using the latest Euphoria rom. It does have CM themes, but the app has about every permission I can think of and (assuming it's the same app) is eating way too much battery to just be the themes.
As promised, a bonus question - Can franco kernel be used with euphoria?
Obviously, they didn't strip out enough of the cynanogenmod from their cyanogenmod, its still cyanogenmod'ing you to death.
Try factory sysimage. It will actually work correctly without the cyanovirii.
I just don't get it. Why do people still use cyanogen based roms?

Maybe they use them because of CAF awesomness from hammerheadcaf branch. Or because they do not want to reinvent the wheel.
But it is better to just talk **** without doing any research.

I have been using 'Q' for about a month after previously testing A.R.I.S.E. I am very happy with Xperience on my Nexus 6!
will this work on 7.1.1?
@narithlot updated OP "6.x.x and above"
thanx
So where exactly is the download link for this sound mod? I sure can't find it. It's like a wild goose chase.
@Thunderbolt69
yo, X version is unreleased. And as mentioned in OP, X version will only work on top of R or Q version which have been released in the official thread. You might aswell go to the official thread & test them out since you will need them anyways. Meanwhile I need to support many more devices for X version. I've probably made this thread abit too early, I guess it's good for the hype :laugh:

No file found on afh... I must be effin blind ^

It doesn't work on this thread click to the main thread at the top open post also make sure to be on PC the app will only download the jpg. On PC the other thread will open up to zips from Android file host. I will say it should be explained better the q3 is the one to get for Shamu on some ROMs it does seem to clear the sound up I feel like it optimized the appsidk I'm new to this.

We at Xiaomi value your trust and we apologize for the inconvenience. Rest assured that we'll assist you on this.
To ensure our users have smooth system operation and the best using experience on MIUI12, this feature/function is not supported due to SoC (System-on-a-Chip) and RAM.
