Does anyone know what update this is? System preferences doesn't have any updates available, but I woke up to it this morning. Running 4.4 rooted via slapmymoto and wondering if it's safe to take.

here's my device info:
system 140.45.5.ghost_verizon.en.US
build 13.11.1Q2.X-69-3
kernel 3.4.42-xline-gf57cf5b
had to change your link to http. Otherwise there isn't very much info to go on. What phone do you have exactly? Moto x gsm, carrier version?
Edit: Ok, verizon version. I have exact same system build and kernel, except i have an extra "Verizon" in system version.
I would take the update if it was me. What could it hurt?
You are rooted for what reason?

Pull the ota and uploaded to gdrive or drop box share link. Follow instructions on this thread to find ota since you have root. But don't take the ota because you will lose root and might not get it back.

I guess it might be a false notification. Since there's no file in your cache. Thanks for trying, if you find anything please keep us updated.

The download filename is G900AUCU3BOC4_OneClick.zip.
Could you expand your OP page to explain what the file is?
Is it an ODIN flash? Is it an executable like the filename suggests?
Good stuff, it will probably prove useful in the future, but 1.5G download without a description, makes me curious.
OC4 Flashing
Has anyone found luck with flashing G900AUCU3BOC4 with the file in OP? (I downloaded the file and I have the executable open right now but I don't want to take any risks flashing this firmware).
More info please

Confirmed Working
Thank you very much for posting this. I had soft-bricked my brand new GS5 not 2 days into owning it trying to downgrade/root without reading anything in the forums. i ended up having to get a replacement but it has not arrived yet and i still have the one that used to be bricked until i downloaded the file, put the phone into ODIN Mode and ran the application. I'm a little mad at myself for not finding this sooner but happy that this exists just in case anything happens like i previously stated.
Thanks this fixed my bricked S5 that I botched the lollipop update on! This should probably be uploaded to a mirror and added to a couple help threads. Sweet man thanks!
Works
Created an account just to post that this file worked. I soft bricked my phone and tried a few roms without luck before finding this one. Threw my phone into Recovery Mode and ran the application and now my phone is up and running again on 5.0. Awesome!
Is this the stock OC4 OTA update to 5.0? If so, users that use this file wont be able to downgrade back to 4.4.2 as said here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3076803

If it's Stock OC4 received by OTA, then no. Go here if you're on 4.4.2 or 4.4.4 : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3076803 pre-rooted too.

I've also softbricked my phone trying to downgrade to kitkat from lollipop. I tried to use Kies and Smart Switch but no luck. I tried talking to Samsung and they said "You have to send it in". Crazy that software can get so screwed up with no recovery.
My phone's not under warranty so I'm trying to do it myself. Serves me right for not rooting it when I was on kitkat and then getting the OTA of Lollipop.
If anyone can even steer me towards a forum that I can get some suggestions to recover this mess, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Hello forum Gurus.
I am a noob to this so please forgive me if I place this question in the wrong place.
Here are my phone specs
Model Numer: sm-g900a
Adnroid version: 4.4.2
Kernel version: 3.4.0-964333 Fri Mar 14
Build Numer: g900aucu1ance
Phone status: Rooted
I have been searching for a volume boost mod for 5.0 but have had no luck. My hearing really sucks and I would like to upgrade kitkat.
It would be great if someone could point me in the right direction
Thank you in advance

I used this
https://mega.nz/#!5ZNjyAyD!Utc5BnNw5EvFrUAyYvGZcFyh5wVAutBDAssGYoZtfCs
When i was on 4.4.2. Not sure if it is the same on 5.0. This will also make your front speaker play sounds and what not. Kinda like surround sound. Just download, using root explorer go to system, etc, click the "RW" in the top right so that it shows "RO", scroll down to mixerpath.xml and rename it mixerpath.xml.bak then place the new mixerpath.xml there, then click the "RO" so that it shows "RW" again. That's it. Reboot and enjoy. If you don't like it then just delete that file and rename the mixerpath.xml.bak back to mixerpath.xml
Don't forget to fix permissions rwrr
SM-G870A Peace

Open it with either mega or Internet and then hit download. There is only one file in that link. You may need to download mega from the play store (it's free).

When I open the link provided and select the "mixer_paths.xml" file for download a drop down list presents itself with at least 15 different linux distro's. That is where the confusion is. I am not sure which one is correct.
Thanks Again

Hi, and thanks for asking! OTA update downloads should go to the system/cache folder. Once the update is downloaded, can you check using a file explorer and copy the file?

...I have access to 2 g890a's right now, in differing states of update, and neither even Has a system/cache folder.
You may not see it with your regular file browser because the phone is not rooted. However an app called "Root browser" (it's free in the Market) will get you through most files (you do not need to be rooted for it to work, though it becomes more powerful if you are). I use that frequently without root access.
I'm not noticing a difference with anything on this update.

Sorry, just catching the reply ... that's the thing, I used that exact browser, and didn't see squat. .system comes up as empty.
Okay thank you for your efforts. It seems that those of us which are not in the US or on the ATT operator will have to wait for the official firmware to be upoaded somewhere.

Nope actually its pretty fast .. i got it uploaded already .. just been super busy at work ... i will make a new thread with link ...
I finally updated my S6 G920AUCU3BOJ7 and I have been looking for G920AUCU3BOJ9, but haven't been able to find the file. I have noticed the Android versions are the same, that's 5.1.1, so my question is, can I update directly to G920AUCU3CPD6?
I did the above with the July 9, 2015(G920AUCU2AOF3) update when I updated to September 25, 2015 G920AUCU3BO12, but since CPD6 is Marshmallow I am a little hesitant.
Any advice from the experts?
Update: I took the plunge and successfully updated my phone to Marshmallow from G920AUCU3BOJ7. I will post the thread where I got the firmware from later because I can't do it on my phone.

I personally will not update to Nougat yet. I know for 100% that what we got is not going to be official release. This mean you need to downgrade to MM to get official Nougat. But if you think it is wort it to downgrade and all hassle to setup phone back go and do it. And no you can go directly to Nougat , need to be gradyaly
