Note multi windows on Tab S2? - Galaxy Tab S2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! Has anyone managed or is it even possible to have the floating type of multi windows that we had on e.g. Note 3? I mean not just the usual multi windows when you have to windows sharing the screen but when you have these resizeable, floating windows. I know that you can do that if you swipe from the top corner of the windows, but is it possible to have the apps opening in these little windows right away? Thanks for any ideas!

task switcher

Hi, I gues if there is a task switcher to move from one opened apps to another without going to the home key... liche with the little drop down you have in the top right corner. Maybe I can access it even when it's not displayed but I don't know how...
thank you for the help...

There is a really nice one with SPB Pocket Plus, but it is not free. It looks a lot like the alt-tab switcher in windows XP

Do you use it? Have you mapped it onto a hardware button?
(if so, how?!)
This tool was so useful for me on my Prophet... indeed it felt so integrated I forgot it wasn't part of the OS and was taken aback when I suddenly found it missing on the Diamond!

Hmm this one combined with the G sensor could be really nice
taski switcher - task manager
I'd rather prefer a task switcher - task manager like xperia panels (or like aspecto software's dynamo 2) with ehanced graphics and nice 3d view...
Would it be possible on diamond? anyone can develop something like that?
Cheers
The best task manager (IMHO) is without a doubt WKtask:
http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
Works just like windows then.. can switch between running apps quickly and easily with a single touch.

but only if you have the task bar in view.
ex: if you are in navigation full mode, then you haven't a taskbar. so how do you want to switch with obe single click ?
i use searching for a small tool which switch to all tasks with a hardware button - so it had to be a single programm which switch - it is not necessary to show windows, blabla, ---- only switch ...
if i found a perfect tool or another one guy - let me know - thanks

The Alt-Tab feature of SPB Pocket Plus will be right up your street...
...however you may find it is a dead end thanks to the Diamond's dire hardware button facilities... not only there not that many of them but tapping into them appears to be full of troubles!
Mathew
spb plus - alt-tab also not working corect - it switch sometimes in different directions to the task
it's like
Task A,B,C,D,E
1.) first press A
if you press then in the short time next the hardware button then it's switch to B, C, aso
but if you wait 2 sec. then it's switching from C -> B -> A -> E
it's a little bit crazy
PLS: i talk about the "switch to next task" -> because this is almost perfect (relly fast, but wrong/serious directions)

Quick xp question...

How do I get xp to NOT group multiple windows of the same app. together? For example, running 4 separate windows of Internet Explorer, instead of showing them as 4 individual tabs at the bottom of the screen, XP groups them together into one tab.
right click on the taskbar at the bottom of the page, then left click on properties
you need to untick the "group similar taskbar buttons" option

[Q] One Handed Use

Did Samsung remove One Handed Operation? I cannot find it in settings. Coming from a Verizon Note 2, I was hoping for a feature to help me use this phone with only one hand.
It is still there. Slide down from the top right corner when in an app and it will make the app smaller.
"One handed" setting is a note feature. But we have some note features like the pull down from corner window mentioned and the multi window option. Also, floating keyboard is still there too! And lastly, pop out/up video
How does one access the floating keyboard option?

Press the settings button on the keyboard itself and there's a little pop up icon.

How to disable bounce over scroll effect in windows phone

I'm using HTC mobile having windows OS 8. The problem is I need to open my companies website which is not mobile compatible and have MOUSE OVER menus. This site is working good in android based phone but due to over scroll "bounce" effect in windows operating system, I can't open menus in website.
Can I disable this "bounce" effect so that i can pull down the menu to excess sub menu?
Or is there any other browser which can open mouse over menus of websites?

How can i make a shortcut for an app to open in pop up window?

How can i make a shortcut for an app to open in pop up window?
There used to be an app called pen window launcher that had this capability.
Anyone?
Thanks
Just enable swipe from top diagonal to enter pop out view. Takes like 0.003s longer than having a shortcut.
Right. Shortcuts are for pansies.
Anyone builds it I'll buy it though.
Time is money (and finger strain is best avoided).

Any solution ever found? I'd really like this.
Whenever I try to swipe, I just keep opening the notification panel over & over.
Edge screen panel

Multi window edge screen panel lets you open apps in pop up view as well as two side by side apps.

Can you explain further? I can only seem to set app pairs and app shortcuts, would be great to have shortcuts that open in pop up mode.
Thanks
How would a shortcut be any faster than the 2 step process of opening an app and swiping down from the corner? I used to use the old method (pop-up window) which I believe was introduced on the Note 3. Anyway, when I updated my Note 3 to either the Note 4 or Note 5 rom (can't remember which), I had to learn the swipe method. Now, I couldn't imagine going back to the antiquated pen window. I will say that it's not as smooth swiping from the corner of a curved screen like the Note 7 & 8, but I usually have my s-pen out for more precise touch when I'm working off a smaller section of the screen. Honestly, I just use Edge for App Pair since the day I got the Note 8. But, swipe is still the quickest way to open pop-up or floating window.

How would it be faster? You answered your own question by your described method, open an app, swipe down from corner...I'd like to open the app (in pop up window).
There used to be apps in the play store that would created a shortcut for any app, that you can put on your home screen, that would just launch into a pop up window (1 step).
I was able to create a bixby shortcut for a 3rd party calculator to open in pop up window...I hold bixby and say calculate and it opens in a pop up window...it works but a shortcut would make life easier.

Perhaps i said the wrong edge app.. look in the edge app store for multi window launcher app. If you have that then change the setting to popup window.

Couldn't find any app called multi window launcher in the store, I purchased multi-window because it claimed it could do this (it couldn't)
Have you tried pressing bottom most button

Didn't realize u gotta hit the icon with 2 windows! Thanks alot!
On PlayStore, "Floating Apps (multitasking)" by LWi s.r.o., is exactly what you're looking for. It provides real shortcuts for the ability to instantly launch any app in variable sizes of real Galaxy Pop-up mode floating multi windows, in addition to providing dozens of their own original low kB mini-apps. Works great, saves time and effort, perfect size in an instant!
