Backing up/Restoring "joins" between contacts

I have all sorts of weird bugs right now (been using BakedGoods 1.1) with my nexus: phone freezes up sometimes when i'm trying to answer a phone call, phone freezes up when trying to reboot/power off, text labels are misaligned sometimes...
So I've decided to flash to the cyanogen's latest ROM... but after flashing without wiping - I get infinite error popups of "process com.android.launcher2 has stopped unexpectedly", I can barely even power off the phone...
When I wipe the phone and then flash - everything seems to be alright... so I guess that's the only option left.
I've installed MyBackup and Titanium Backup - and backed up everything on my phone, but the only thing I couldnt backup was hundreds of links between contacts stored on google and facebook contacts (it took me FOREVER to link those, since my google contacts are saved in Hebrew, while the facebook contact names are in English...)
I really don't want to link the contacts one by one all over again... So my question is: is it possible to backup/restore the links between contacts?
Thanks in advance!
My question has ended up being on the bottom of Page 3, without any reply :/
I cant update my nexus without solving this issue, and I'm stuck with a buggy phone right now that freezes every now and then...
Please help, if you can :'(
Thanks...
I had the same problem but only with my gmail contacts + sim contacts, so after the second lost of "joins" I decided to do it the proper way.
Contacts were synced with my gmail accoutn and then in the gmail web I used the contacts manager to fix all the accounts for once (at least until I get a lot of new contacts), now everything is oganized in my gmail contacts and my N1 just fetches them, if I add a new contact in the N1 it will also end up in the gmail account and to make it better I used an app to sync all my contact's pictures with those on FB.
Good luck!
neoranga: thank you for your reply
I have a whole different scenario with my phone...
My contacts are already saved on my google account, but since many of my contacts have a Facebook account, I like them synced, so I can see their profile when I view a contact, and their profile picture on the phone is always in sync with their FB profile picture.
Since my contacts are saved in Hebrew, and the FB account names are in english, the phone cant 'Auto-match' them together... So I had to manually link each and every contact with its correct FB profile...
It took me so long to link them all together ( I have hundreds of contacts) and I'd **hate** to do it again, without even knowing if it'll be the last time of doing it...
There must be a way to backup these links too bad it cant sync with the google account...
Anyone else have faced this problem and got an idea of how to solve it?

[Q] A couple of problems/bugs

Hey
I've tried multiple widgets for contacts, but the all have the same irritating problem. None of them are able to display contact's picture!
I have tried the same widgets on my old HTC Hero to, and the work perfectly on that handset, so it gotta be something wrong with the Optimus itself..
When I'm going in to Settings->About the device->Software update, I'm getting an error: "Connection failed because of aproval error."
Someone else experience the same problems? Any solutions?
Thanks
Try People contact widget
Works for me on Desire/Desire HD/Samsung Galaxy S and Optimus 2x
Stock contact widget in HTC Sense and LG UI works for me too though
Do you have pictures on your contacts in the normal adress book?
The Software update error is common. There's no update for Optimus yet, so you need to wait for LG/google to provide us with one....
Try installing Facebook for Android and log in. Synchronize with existing contacts, and see if pictures show up
I have an other problem. My phone only combines some of my facebook contacts with the phones. Can't figure out how to combine them manualy. This was easy with my HTC Desire

When I'm going in to my contacts list they all have pictures after I synchronised with Facebook. But when I go in to one spesific contact and press edit, there is no picture before i scroll down to the facebook information about the contact.
All of the contacts are also saved ass google contacts. On my old Hero, they were saved as phone contacts.
Another thing; when I go into accounts and synchronize, and goes into the facebook acc, it says "sychronizing names". Nothing about pictures..

In my case, the stock widget don't display the contact pictures on O2X either. I don't store contacts on my phone but rather kept them synced to google contacts. I also merged my facebook contacts with google contacts.
What I noticed is this: you will generally not have any issues with contact pics if they come with your google contacts; if your google contact has a pic, it will be displayed with certainty. The problem only arises when trying to display facebook contact pics in the absence of google contact pics even after merging contacts. I've never had much issues like this on my HTC Desire except on contacts that didn't update their account security to allow their contact pics to be synced. So my guess is that this issue is probably to do with how LG integrates the facebook pics to the contact storage on the phone.
Store ur contacts in ur gmail account and it will work.

LG Email client refresh issue.

I actually like the stock LG rom for the most part and I like using the stock LG Email to sync my gmail account because I can get the email notification on my lock screen.. Here's the problem.. lets say I go into Gmail from my computer and read the email... my phone doesnt pick up that the email is no longer new and still shows I have email! even if I delete the message from Gmail, the LG client still shows its there. I have to actually open the LG client, back out of gmail (from within the client) so it refreshes and it only then shows there is no new email but I Still have to delete the same email I previously deleted from Gmail on my computer...
Thoughts? Hope I didnt loose anyone lol...

[Q] Exchange Contacts

I maintain my contacts in Exchange. When I got my moto x (was on a Bionic previously) it added ALL my contacts, including just email addresses. So I have 700 contacts in there. I don't see a way to get rid of all this extra crap that shows up in the People app. When I open Outlook and go into People, only my real contacts are there. Any one know how I can get my Moto X to show me JUST these contacts and not all this other crap?
Thanks!

[Q] MightyText contact names not displaying

I love MightyText and used to use it all the time on my Galaxy Nexus. I pull contacts from two accounts: my gmail and my Exchange server. It all worked fine, numbers and names came through just fine.
When I switched to Moto X a long while ago, MightyText could no longer find the contact names of my Exchange contacts. Gmail contacts were fine, but no Exchange contacts. I followed their advice and wiped the cache on the web client, then refreshed, but it didn't help. MT support said that they only pull contacts from the phone's local storage. But why does it work for gmail, but not my Exchange contacts, which seem to be stored locally as well? Why did it work for my GN, but not my Moto X?
Plus, Motorola Connect can find all the names on my phone. I'd use it, but it's so finicky and can't do groups or mms.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions or ideas?
